  1. Know who to ask where to get parts when I get one then!
  2. The power would be great... Not sure I care for the widebody kit... Spoils the lines of the E31 IMO.
  3. He used to be apparently but has been in an Audi for a while. I've encouraged him to rejoin. Turns out he lives and works on the same road as me so at least I'll see it regularly! When I find one!
  4. SOLD... I cried a little bit as it drove away. Sh*t, it sounded good!!
  5. I've got 1L (more than enough for 2 front seats, rear and door cards) of black PelleCare leather restorer. This is not a cleaning/condition kit, it's complete restoration. You strip the old leather colour coat first with the included solvent (or meths works better IMO), clean up the mess, let it dry fully and sand with fine grade paper. You can fill any really bad cracks with leather glue then apply (by hand) the PelleCare product with a sponge or cloth. It has a latex filler in the paint that fills most cracks and marks in the leather. Not suitable for changing from the original colour but will bring your seats back to great condition. There's a video of how to apply on my project thread here. I ordered an extra pack as I'd used the first one on my 528i but managed to do the 540i as well without opening the second batch so it's surplus to requirements. The kit retails for $150, yours for $95+shipping. BOOM.
  6. What happened to "I will never sell this car", Mike?
  7. Currently listed for $12,395 reserve - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=734438284 - but will consider $12K from a bimmersporter. It'll still owe me around $6K so the new owner will get a minter for a great price.
  8. Bump... Car has no done a little over 186K kms after a trip to Taupo and back last weekend. It's running so well it feels like new and did it at 11.6L/100 with plenty of 'fun' driving on the way! BUY IT so I can sink all my cash into an E31 money pit!!
  9. Good price. It's an M5 rep though, so you'll need to buy all of the OE ducting parts if you want the brake ducts in place as the standard bumper ones and Msport (non M5) are all different.
  10. Good luck team. Good to see Gull are supporting. I know their Business Development & Brand Manager so very glad he's come to the party!
  11. Haha! Funny... Strikes me, Ron, that 90% of your posts are about justifying your personal opinion manual vs auto... Which is probably why a few jibes have headed your way.
  12. Can't remember the rego but definitely Silverstone, in Parnell and dented boot lid, so more than likely the same one. Didn't sell at his $21K asking price... Maybe he'll accept my $15K offer. haha!
  13. Looks like an Alpina VIN but should still work in normal decoders. My guess is he's got the last 7 digits wrong.
  14. That's the best looking E60 I've seen... Woodgrain n'all. Looks a great car, haven't got a clue what these are worth but Alpinas do generally fetch a premium. I'd have this over an E60 M5 any day (except touring).
  15. I'm guessing ute... Or why buy a non-sport wagon for the conversion? If it's an M5 wagon, I know someone else who might beat you to the punch, so yours will be 1 of 2 in NZ!
  16. Have you got a working engine now, Tristan?
  17. I guess we'll know post dyno day... Though Martin's car was a bit under powered last time round which he has rectified without tuning, so any gains won't be exclusively thanks to the tune. Interesting...
  18. Regardless of his starting point the final result is around 447hp at the crank. That's a decent gain over stock too, 51bhp... Martin (BreakMyWindow) is about to get a tune for them... I think he'll be very happy with an extra 50!! EDIT: Martin has pointed out to me that the chart actually shows flywheel power not rear wheel power (I've put my glasses on now). So this isn't that great at all... Their tune has made an underpowered car almost back to normal.
  19. From memory Dave, yours took some time to do so how much did you really save, or is your time free Ray at HellBM would be my only choice for this, they've done plenty and well priced. Call him, he gets too many emails!!
  20. If I was about to hold up the local post office it would be first choice... Who'd look twice at you? Probably paedophiles as well.
  21. Would love to do S62... I think S85 and SMG would be a massive PITA. Need to sell my car first!
  22. A guy in Poland has done this... And this... So much awesome!!!!
  23. You have good taste in wheels... What's going on this next? And do you still have the deep dish 2-piece ACS wheels pictured early on in your thread (because I would love to get my hands on some of those!)?
  24. Only 3 reasons for stealing a car: To sell it To joyride To commit another crime in it So thieves look for all types. Joyriders want fast and easy to break into, fencers want something they can sell (probably overseas) the rest want something unremarkable that noone will notice/remember... Which many of the cars in the list are.
