I've got this facelift e30 and it has an intermittent fault. Basically, sometimes the wipers and washers just randomly turn on and the only way to stop them is the pull the relay out or turn the car off. I've had teh car for a few weeks and this has happened twice. Last time it managed to fix itself for a week, but it's just come back today. I've replaced the wiper stalk and the relay and I still have the same problem. Does anyone know what it could be? I'm guessing wiring, but I'm confused as both the washers and the wipers are stuck on. They seem to be stuck on the middle speed. If i pull the low speed wire out of the relay it enables me to use the wipers on only full. This is a temporary fix for now. Also I've just unplugged the washer jets. Anyone have any idea what wires I should be testing or what I should be looking for? Cheers in advance.

It's a 10 minute job if you know what you are doing. I'd say take it to a shop and just pay, it wont be expensive. I'm not sure how much a new pulley is though, but I cant see them costing the earth. This isn't a big job. Just get it fixed until you poke your entire engine.

Yea but now that the belt is probably as loose as a goose it could easily come off and cook your engine. Don't be a muppet. Get it fixed. It's not a difficult operation.

Hey I'm looking for a passenger e30 coupe seat that can fold forward. My one doesn't go forward so i just wanna replace it for now with something that does. Cheaper the better ( free is best ). Anywhere near Wellington. Cheers team.

Yep needs an LSD like hell. I was sad to see it go, it was back firing and popping down the hill as you left, sounded sick. First time I've ever seen it move without me driving! I now know why the neighbours always look at me in disgust when I fly up there now, must sound like a earthquake haha.
