It's Estoril blue but made a bit darker by using a very dark undercoat. Beautiful.

I'm a bit partial to this but it wont be on the 750. This will be reserved for the 740i..lol

number 41 of 113. And thats total in the world. It's the most exclusive E38 ever built. They made more L7's than these. I'll keep this one as original as I can. I'll play with the color on the 740i though when it comes time to paint that one.

Given it's rarity I think I'll keep to the original color, Titanium Silver. In saying that I actually prefer the darker shade thats on the donor car so I may go with that.

He did say that it will pit some of the newer wheels. I'll take in the worst of the 5 I have and see how it goes.

LMAO. I called a local sandblaster. $15 and it'll take about 10 mins while I wait.. I guess thats a bit better than $40 for a can of stripper and the 3 hours it took my to get the wheel stripped properly. ha ha. Live n learn.

Oh well, they'll match the front guard and bonnet that are going to be replaced as well. Then theres the Green front bumper I've got for it and if things pan out I'll have a blue rear bumper that doesn't have a hole cut in it for a tow bar(deleting that). All good reasons to get organising(saving) for that new paint job.

I was sitting in the office watching them work on it through a window and saw the moron sling the rim into the car. I guess my mistake was yelling at them to get it out of there. So it was probably scratched on the way in and again when he took it out. It takes a special kind of special to do something as moronic as this.

Cane as standard on the 01's. So my 99 has a bit of catching up to do..lol You hit that nail on the head...lol

So I went out to the car tonight to get something and low and behold I discover this in the door I put on. And we all know what that means.. I've got another 3 door handles to swap over now.. ha ha

One down. Four to go. The paint had a nice bright finish to it until I put on the super hard drying clear coat and it's gone quite dull. Not sure what I'm going to do yet. I think I'll explore other paints on some corrugated iron till I find a finish that works.

*&^@$^*&^*&(*(*^^$$#$%#@#%^* To say I'm pissed would be the understatement of the year. My average km per liter went from 6.1 to 4.3 today. Indicative of my mood. I finished putting the clear coat on my rim the other day and took it to Tony's Tires today to get it put on the car. Who the f*&k takes the clean new rim out of the boot and when they're finished puts the dirty old rim in the back FU(*&^ING SEAT. *&^%%*(%$@@+_)+ Not only was it dirty but heres the result of putting a curbed rim on leather. FU^K. MORON'S The boss wan't there but you can be damn sure he'll be seeing me in the next day or so.

I'm curious by nature so this has really got me wondering. Thanks for throwing that out there Amber but not sharing the good bits...lol Like everyone else I'm looking forward to seeing what you got yourself now.

BMW 850 CSI manual (Japanese Auction)
kulgan replied to Golfboy666GTI's topic in TradeMe discussions
I luv thats it's a manual and the color combo is different too. Shame it's a lefty. -
Could be since it was imported by the owner of the car yard and was his for a few years.
-
I looked at it last year. It's sitting in a car yard in the back corner and it looks like its been sitting there for years and it has. Sitting for so long in the sun has taken it's toll on the paint. Clear coat is peeling off on the bonnet and boot and if I remember right the heat has deformed some of the interior panels. It doesn't get driven at all so it's been sitting there for 6-7 years. You can imagine what theats done to all the rubber seals and plastic in the engine. If I'm over that way anytime soon I'll stop in and have another look and take some pics. Last time he couldn't find the keys so it couldn't be started"yeah right". I see it's registered as a Schnitzer but from memory I could find the badge under the bonnet anywhere so I'm not sure it's genuine either. Everytime I'm in Palmy I drive past and look at it sitting in the back.. Shame really.

Very cool project. I luv the clean engine bay and the attention to detail.

I agree but for the E38 it's about the best forum I've found. The knowledge base there is huge and generally if I need to know something I can find the answer in the forum with a quick search. Even if I search on google it will return most of it's results from that forum.

I would have thought it being a Dinan would have added value to it. Turners also have a M6 and from memory thats priced around 29-32k.
-
Shoot em up is fine, just dont be crass enough to swear while your doing it. jeez.. lmao
