One more pic just for you Kelvin. You know you'd luv one in the garage.

I've been waiting for it Andy.

You mean this? ha ha

I think the E38's big enough to pull off these 21 inch Alpina wheels with class so 20's will be more than fine and wont look gangsta.

This is true. I've been using the 750i as my daily for the last week and I've got to say that while I luv the torque the V12 brings to the table I miss the sporty handling of the 740i. With the 740 being lowered and having a higher spring rate I can really throw it around the corners whereas the 750i floats and wafts along the highway very nicely but when it comes to cornering it leaves a bit to be desired. I dont want the ride to be as hard as the 740i but I do want it lower with at the very last 18's. Yes, my last set of 18's got a bit bent out of shape when I drove thru a truck stop at night and someone had kindly removed the steel covering plates from the scales leaving a(roughly) 10inch gap in the concrete. Mind you, that might have bent most wheels out of shape.

What sort of restoration are you looking for? Is scuffs to the color, wrinkles or? There are a few sites that sell repair kits for the DIY'er. https://www.leathermagic.com/bmw-leather-colors http://www.leatherique.com/ And a ton of videos on youtube for this kind of repair/restoration. I saw one the not only showed how to repair scuffs to the surface color but also how to repair cuts or gouges. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9c8lPMxEe4A My 750i has a lot of surface scuffing to the color and I'm going to give one of these repair kits a try.

Yup. Nothing like getting out of bed at 4:30am for a 6am start on a chilly winters morning. Personally I'd rather be doing the 10pm start and heading home at 6am.

More likely they were carefully "lifted".. ha ah

If we're posting about music, hot cars and hot girls I'm going to throw this in the ring. Fine, It's not Led Zep but a real bonus is theres also no Twilight guy..lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-3_UC9iG00

Having a debate on the internet then suddenly feeling like I've just had a conversation with my ex who would with consumate skill use a womans prerogative to change her mind leaving me totally confused as to her stance in the first place and the validity of my argument..

I thought you were having a go because someone said "china is a waste of time". I apoligise if I got what you were saying wrong. And dont if I was right.. ha ha I luv being right. lol
-
Ummmm? Perhaps you should go back and re-read the entire thread. I think you'll find thats exactly what we've been saying.
-
I believe you've taken one sentence and quoted it out of context then. Either that or I'm absolutely not understanding your reference. I believe that what Driftit was trying to say was the you'd be wasting your time trying to change anything in China. Hence "China is a waste of time".

How's the PC you typed that message on or the sheets on your bed or maybe the socks your wearing or the shirt off your back? Could go on and on. Your comment has no point as none of the items listed by you or me has any direct financial impact on the festival in question. Besides which if you wanted to play that way with China I'm pretty sure in a game of tit for tat they'd win and we'd suffer. You do however have the opportunity to financially hurt companies/farms in NZ who aren't ethically farming. Ofcourse it also means you have to pay a bit more. It's a choice a few of us here make. Do you?

Hope this is some help. I'm at work and there's a lot I cant access from here. Or do a search for the Bentley workshop manual PDF for the E38. http://workshop-manuals.com/bmw/7_series_e38/740il_m62_sal/2_repair_instructions/0__maintenance_and_general_data/1_ra__danger_of_poisoning_if_oil_is_ingested_absorbed_through_the_skin Another search I found this. You can try downloading it here. http://files.me.com/adamsdrift/bh76cr

I'm by no means a expert on all things E39 but I'm going to put in my 2 cents worth anyway. I'd be interested in seeing the build sheet from running your vin. If it's built as a 540ia and was purchased as that then sent back to BMW to have a Schnitzer bodykit and a manual gearbox installed then it's just a nicely modded 540ia. If on the other hand it came as a manual from the Schnitzer factory I would say a genuine Schnitzer 540i manual would be very desireable. And I have no idea what either would be worth.

It's all well and good to complain about something thats going on in another country on the other side of the world. Yet generaly the people who are signing these petitions or starting them are still buying good ole Farmer Brown eggs because they're $3 cheaper than Free Range or buying that yummy Pork thats on special without a thought to how these are farmed in our own back yards. As to the capturing of pets. How do you know a dog is a pet when it has no collar and is left to wander around the village at free will and basically has to fend for itself. What defines a animal thats left to free range as a pet? Sorry, but these kind of petitions serve no purpose except to make the people who sign it feel good about themselves for a moment. The Chinese Government has absolutely no regard for what you or I think and they're most certainly not going to take any notice of a petitions signed by a bunch of foreigners. Why would they? They have no regard for what their own citizens think! If you want my signature start a petition to completely stop Battery Farming Chickens or one to stop the factory farming of Pigs in New Zealand. Lets clean up our own backyard before we start pissing in someone elses.

Ah, but your E34 Touring is a bit special and even a BMW expert is going to look at that V12 badge and think "Oh, very very cool"..
-
I'm on a couple of dedicated E38 forums and it's a polarizing issue. V12 badge of not. People either love them or hate them. I always assumed they were Jag badges. Personally I'm not that into the idea. I figure that if you know enough about BMW's then you'll be able to appreciate the 7"50" without me having to have a V12 badge on it.

He was sitting in it waiting for his wife so we wound down our windows and had a chat..lol His car was mint. And my initial thought when I saw another car parked that close was "FFS" then when I realised what it was I was thinking "Well, thats ok then". Ha ha.
