This 750il parked beside my 750i. Talked to the owner. Old guy who has had it since new. 165k on the clock and mint. His parking left a bit to be desired though..lol

Ahhhhhhmmmm.. Pick a part.. E38 V8. I see a trip to Auckland in my future...lol
-
ha ha.. Yup. Not a lot of traction going on there.

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking car and low k's too. I'm sure someone will chime in who know's about these.

The E38's still my favorite. I thought the E65 was big. The new 7 dwarfs the E65. All the 7's in a row.

I have left instructions that state if I ever buy a Civic I should be humanely put down on the spot as I'll obviously be suffering from some virulent form of mad cow disease. :drugs: :puke: It's not just about the 7 Series though. And it's not just lowering springs. And even if it was why should it cost $370 more just cause we're in NZ. Which then forces me to shop overseas. It's crazy.

Last time it was $140 for a plastic thermostat cover. I ended up getting a thermostat and aluminium cover for $45 delivered from USA. If I can get the springs delievered to my door from the US for about $570 I honestly wouldn't mind paying up to $600 if I could get them from a local firm. But $938 is extortion on a grand scale. Local businesses need to wake up to what's on offer internationally. This is a case of a sale with a smaller mark up vrs no sale at all.

Being quoted $938 for a set of H&R lowering springs when I can get the same set from America for $418.90nzd plus about $70 for gst and another $80 for postage. Saves me about $370. Where's the incentive to buy locally. This is getting beyond ridiculous and bordering on insulting.

I'm jealous. Cars look awesome and the location's stunning. I've gotta find some local people with Bimmers to drive with..Got turned down by the local classic car club because my car's not classic..lol Sad.

Cyclists who think they own the road. Why is it that there can be a long straight road with empty car parks then at least a meters worth of cycle way and then a white line separating said cycle way from the car lane and with all that empty road cyclists seem to think they have to ride right on the white line. F--king ignorant. Maybe thats why I laughed so hard when I saw this. https://youtu.be/WwpflahbIJo

Glad see you got that seat fixed. Interiors come up looking real nice. Headliner looks very smart.

I agree wholeheartedly. The 740i has 275/40/18 on the rear and 255/45/18 on the front. Though I'm thinking for the 750i I might go to 20's.

I'd say I watched that 3 times.. But the last 2 times I had my eyes closed. Music to my ears.

Some of you may have seen this already. But for those that haven't. In 1988 the dealer operating under the name "Citation Motors" lost it's franchise and abandoned the building and stock. Still in the showroom was an E24 and a 635csi in near perfect condition. At the back of the dealership is an untouched yard with more stock frozen in time including a mint black 635csi.

Luving those wheels Andy. Your car looks incredible. Thinking about your antenna switch. If you have the time why not get a drawing of the antenna you'd like on it and take the switch to an engraver who can engrave the pic on the switch and then you can fill with paint.

Getting older you get stuck in your old ways. I've been stuck having meatlovers for more than a few years now and I've been finding them a bit crusty and chewy so when the opportunity came to try something a bit newer I thought why not. So I gave a funky chicken a try. Was awesome the first few times. So fresh and new. But after a while I realised my tastes weren't compatible with the newer pizzas. Back to the old crusty meatlovers that needs to be re heated.

That E24 is looking so nice now. Hugely improved since you first got it and that black interior is a massive improvement from the tan. Funny. If you asked me which one I'd like to take for a drive I'd say the E63 but if you asked which one I'd like to own I'd have to say the E24..

Driving my 740i home from work this morning and pulling into the drive to see a 750i parked there and thinking to myself they're both mine. Wooop wooop

For the best selection of cheap, direct from China parts you should check Ebay. But you should also be aware that if you pay half as much you may have to replace more than twice as often.

Why not try something like this. I dont know what the inside of the 525i muffler looks like but if it's anything like the 7 series it might be a bit over designed..lol This might be worth a try. Here's a 7 series muffler. And heres what someone did to it and it sounds amazing.

Last time I saw someone drive on the wrong side of the road was in Lindis Pass. I'd just flown down to Invercargille to pick up my new to me motorcycle. A MINT 12,000km 1989 Yamaha FZR Supersport. It was my second day on the bike and some jackass came around a corner on the wrong side of the road. I had 2 weeks leave booked to ride the bike around the South Island. One week of that was spent in Christchurch Hospital. The bike was a write off. That was about 5 years ago and while the insurance payed for it and ultimately I got another bike I'd still have to say that if the person who hit me was put in front of me I'd punch him in the face for his error in judgement while driving. Then I'd knee cap him for not stopping. I lay on the side of the road for 5 mins before another car came along. Still a bit of anger there...lol I know people rag on AA but in this case they worked well with me. When it became apperant that they couldn't get a new fairing for the bike they asked if I would be happy with a scratched secondhand one. When I said no they paid me out the next day.

Looking good on those wheels.

ha ha. I know that car. The owner posts on another forum I'm on. It's immaculate inside and out. I do like the M-Pars. But I like a bit more rubber than can be fit on those..lol

Luving that interior color. And having an E91 335i MSport, E39 530i MSport & E30 325i MSport up the drive is only a problem to those who are envious. Like ME!

This guys vid is a good one for showing how its done. I used the oakwood deep clean soap on my 750i and it worked wonders. if you dont use oakwood make sure you get a ph balanced cleaner. I used a new shaving foam lather brush. Squirt a generous amount of cleaner onto the brush and rub it onto the leather one panel at a time. then wipe off with a micro fiber cloth. https://youtu.be/AhXD_B-x_q0
