http://www.racelandus.com/coilovers/bmw-e30-coilovers.html And if they aren't good enough hunt out a second hands set.. Better than what going on here now aye. This coming from the guy who recommended cutting the springs..lol
-
OP,this is a piss-take aye? If your serious and genuinely want to build a slammed car why not spend $450 and buy a set of coilovers? At least it'll be road legal and safe. You'll only have to do it once and you'll be able to adjust/control springs and shocks for the ultimate ride. All your doing now is building a deathtrap for yourself, your passengers and anyone else who happens to be on the road when you ineveitably lose control.

Awww crap. Thanks for the info.. Would've been nice if they'd shared that snippet of info on thier Trademe ad. A wee bit over priced for a car with that many Kms.. I might have considered it if it was a 750i.. But not for a il which as we've established in the Trademe discussion section aren't that rare..

Sweet looking cars. Loving the rims.

ha ha.. Nice to see another convert. I'd been a Holden addict scince I was a kid. My last car was a 95 SS commy. Found my current E38 on trademe and I've never looked back. The E38's a much heavier car with a smaller motor than the SS Commy yet it still out performs the Commy in every way. Handles better and gets off the line quicker with a better top speed. Not to mention all the options...lol Welcome to the forum. Lots of good guys here who are happy to share thier knowledge.

Nice looking car. Welcome to the forums.

Hi all. Hoping someone in Rangiora, Canterbury could have a look at a E38 for me. I've been looking for 2 years and this is only the 2nd E38 750i I've found for sale.. Can only be viewed after 6pm over the weekend. If you'd bee happy to have a look for me that would be awesome. Send me a PM if you would be willing to help out. Cheers.

Damn dude.. I was watching so intentely and was at about 1:28 "Yeah, you got him" and then nearly crapped myself when he came out of nowhere again.. Whew.. That looked close.. Also looked like a hell of a lot of fun..

Way to go.. Your cracking into it. I'm in the middle of swapping the bathroom to the washhouse and vise versa. Now, I'm all good with the hard work, jibbing and stopping.. Easy as bro. Walk into the shop and start looking at colours and finishings and should it be tiles or wood or lino on the floor. Thats it, I'm getting confused just thinking about it. I need to find a woman to give me some advice. Actually, I just need to find a woman. ha ha ha.. Nah, there are some bonus's to being a batcherlor.

A set of style 5's would look nice on that. For reference pic courtesy of stanceworks.

I picked up one of these on trademe last year. Got it for $350. It gets used during summer on my super long 1.5km trip to work.. Its a 1978 Honda Hobbit PA 50. Wasn't running when I got it but after cleaning out the exaust and a new sparkplug it runs good as gold. They still pop up every now and then and I've seen other older Zundapps come up for under $500 that just need some TLC. Very cool for the short commute. Bit hard to see in the pics but both bikes have pedals.

I could be considered a bimmer ho.. Only cause I'd take as many as I can. :pimp: Been called a wheel whore on another forum as I have 4 sets of wheels for my car. Mpars,Style 95's, style 70 and the BBS wheels on the car now.. But I'd swap them all for a set of Alpina softlines...mmmmmmm
-
^ lol, a common mistake. Beemers are motorbikes and Bimmers are cars. Goes back to when BMW raced thier bikes against BSA. So they were called BMW Beemer/Beamers and BSA Beezers. So Welcome to the world of Bimmers. And welcome to the forum ofcourse.
-
Damn that was hard to read.. Could just be I'm old, but some punctuation would be nice. Anyways, welcome to the forum. You'll find some knowledgable people here to help you with your Bimmer and conversion.

I'd consider paying 14k for a mint 750i which would be very rare. But NZ new or not 10k would be as much as I'd pay for a screaming mint il which isn't that rare in NZ. Nice ones pop up on Trademe all the time for less than 8k.

WElcome to the forums and the Bimmer bug.. Looks like you've been biten good.. Nice couple of cars you have there. I'll look forward to seeing the pics and topics as you progress with your E30.

Luv the stance on that..

I agree. There's something about the E38. Its the only 7'er I like as well.. I been hunting for a E38 750i shorty for just over a year.. Haven't found one yet..
