A Clio does. Buy it, lol. <and don't cry that its mid-engined>
-
I have nothing new to say about the car so ... nice lawn.
-
Sedgedins on dominion rd has it.
-
Surely you can just bung them on trademe? Someone always seems keen to pay something... Don't forget to put "as new - never used" for the airbags, haha.
-
They're often glued in with swear words - you need to say all the right ones to get them out.
-
Is it actually the right oil for the engine? Manual says no - what does BMW say these days? My best internets research suggests the e36 m3 needs a very good 10w40. My own experience is that the vanos is quieter and engages smoothly, with lower oil temps with a 10W40 compared to the TWS. TWS appears to be for S54 (different rockers) and the S60?
-
You guys are a tougjh crowd - I am sure Mobil 1 and Castrol Edge are pretty decent oils.
-
Ah good point. I'm looking on a phone so pics a bit small but I should have noticed. Its relevant I reckon - you would want to know what's involved in getting it into an e30.
-
LOL - looking at the auction again, a beast with the air filter sticking out of the bonnet!
-
Surely anyone buying it would inspect it carefully, in person, and ask a lot of questions (eg, does the car need much modification to fit). I can see how 2 t25 turbos could be bottom-mounted, espcially if the pipework is smaller diameter. Might make the downpipe/steering problem easier too. Assuming its as advertised, would be a beast.

Assuming the hydraulic system is bled properly and the slave cylinder rod located correctly ... its possible for the clutch to stick to the flywheel if left for a while. Simplest way to get it unstuck is to put it in gear with the engine off and clutch pedal and brake down, then crank the starter - make sure there is nothing in front of the car(!) as it will try and move forwards. There are other ways that are less shock on your driveline etc - try google. You have to be sure that the pushing the clutch pedal is disengaging the clutch before trying it.

As much as I'd love to accumulate more M10 parts I can't - I have plenty. Out of interest, did you have it as a running setup? How did it go? Life keeps getting in the way of me getting mine finished...
-
The Megane launch? Or have they had a change of heart and going to bring in the Clio?
-
Its really unlikely this will happen - its just not how they make cars any more. Its more likely to be fast, sharp and ridiculously capable.
-
Wow, that would be a surprise the first time you nailed it.
-
OK fair enough They did have the water pump when I needed that (bearings failed apparently).
-
Ordered one through Glenn - thanks For the record (ie anyone searching in the future): - Aftermarket importers of Behr don't stock the M3 one, but can get it with reasonable delay (eg 1 month) - Nissens importer doesn't stock it (didn't ask if he could get it) - BMW NZ doesn't stock either (grrrrrr), so a couple of weeks ex-Germany wait for me. Am philosophical about the wait, but irritated BMW NZ don't stock it (I'm ok with the others - I don't expect them to carry stock on an uncommon item but I do with BMW).
-
Make the photo size smaller and you should be good.
-
PM replied Glenn. I'd already had the waterpump (and thermostat I think) replaced when the bearings failed, so I guess I should look on the positive side - I will have an almost new cooling system.
-
I dunno - maybe its been replaced for some reason already? The radiator is a Behr one with plastic end tanks. The plastic top hose inlet/outlet (not sure which way the water flows) on the plastic end tank has snapped off about 5mm out. It's stuffed...
-
I need a new radiator - the one in the car has cracked the top hose attachment. The whole "15-20 year service life" on modern radiators sucks (I know its not all radiators and many last longer, but its pretty common). So, a new one. Anyone have a good source for an M3 one (ie a good price)? I don't want second hand, I don't think alloy's worth it as I probably won't own the car in 15 years, and it's not a normal E36 one - M3 is special (ie $$$), although shared - with Z3M. Thanks
-
Waited for the AA tow guy to show up and tow it home after the radiator top hose cracked off

Assuming E46, there is a proper M3 which has a LOT of different parts and wider guards compared to a 330i (or any other E46 with Motorsport options). Ask forum sponsor zenetti (Mag and Tyre Direct) for a tyre price. Look on Trademe - you're 16" wheels aren't worth much.
