What can't you fit? I've got 235s on 17x8s with between +30 and +35 offset and no rub (yet). H&R M3 springs, so not that low.
-
According to the online parts diagrams, coupe/cabrio guards and liner are the same (whether M3 or not) and sedan/touring/compact are the same (again, M3 same as non). M3 Sedan http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E36/Seda...de_panel_front/ If you click the part number you'll see its the same for all sedan/touring/compact.

Indeed he is - he told me about the Proma.
-
You'll have to try them - for instance, the 15s fit over my skyline brakes on a 2002 (slightly easier ask than on an e30) at the front... but not the rear. The 17s might though! Worth a try.

It's true - it performs some voodoo magic on hydraulic lifters that are sticky. I've only tried it in my bro-in-laws old VR4 and it was like magic.
-
Don't get me wrong - they're top of the class even for RS. Its the Gold bolts that do it for me.
-
I'm only winding those lucky enough to have RSs up, don't worry. Although there are probably more E30s with RS in CHCH than with original basketweaves (more lols).
-
You can get replicas from forums sponsor zenetti (mag and tyre direct) for ~$1k. You can get the real thing for about twice that.... (BBS RS). (edit - slow by 4 mins...)
-
I think its looks great with those wheels (and congrats). Although the comments are starting to make me wonder if BBS are passé...
-
I dunno what the problem is, but if he ever gets it running well again try a product called "Proma MBL8" at the next oil change to stop the lifters noise. Its like magic. (edit for clarity - stops noisy lifters in Mitsubishis!)

And, ahem, 2 hours later getting a ticket:
-
Mint - should spool pretty quickly then?

MY brother-in-law has a Golf GTI that my father bought new and I owned in between - its at about 150k km. In addition to scheduled maintenance (including the cambelt combo Glenn mentioned) it has needed a wheel bearing, clutch (don't tow a heavy trailer ), door closed sensor and a window regulator. At slightly fewer km, my car has had the aircon pump rebuilt, abs unit fail, a seized caliper, a coupla leaking engine seals, brake light switch fail, a window regulator, leaking window seal, water pump, new bushings, more new bushings, more new bushings (and from the previous owner - more new bushings and a clutch at a minimum - that's just what I know about). It still needs some more bushings (front shock mounts). Blah blah blah. I don't think the Golf is any worse... Mind you, my wife's Skoda exploded the gearbox (like really - the ring gear came away from its carrier).

Forum sponsor zenetti: http://www.magandtyredirect.com/wheels.php...rch=1&dw=18 Good prices, good service.

On the w/end put in a motorsport x-brace I've had hanging around under my house for 2 months, and changed the oil (am trying Edge 0W40). Results: - front end a little taughter perhaps - Vanos quieter, engaging very smoothly. My M3 (can't speak for all of them) loves fresh oil and 5,000km changes

That's just unfair - this is a chav-mobile: The renault is only guilty of a few colour-coded hard surfaces, which a lot of cars are guilty of these days...
-
Nah it was their first time on a track and they were taking it easy - they very kindly moved over and let me by. In an M3, arguably never. The limit is high. If you like convertibles, buy one. Just accept that there's a significant portion of the BMW populace who don't see the point. I don't like them - its just not a feature I value highly (I do admit that driving in a Cab is like Wellington on a good day - very good when its good).
-
That's a bit of an over-reaction to a pretty casual wind-up. On a side note, I do remember passing an E36 M3 cab in my 130hp 2002 race car - it was either the car or the driver (which chose the car). Are M3 cabs slow, or do M3 cab drivers choose slow cars? If you like the car, buy it.
-
Subject to passing the pre-purchase inspection, this is a better deal. Cab, good colour, etc. The SMG is the only "negative" (I have no opinion on them never having driven one beyond preferring a manual and being suspicious of the extra bits).
-
That's quite an accusation coming from you!
-
Haha. Go the sarcasm font. If you're going to insist on 100kph in the fast lane (which I don't particularly mind) at least make sure its GPS verified. Would be terribly embarrassing to find you were enforcing 94kph on anyone behind you.

What brand for these guys: > and three round gauges (boost in psi, oil preasure and mix) - 90 firm I just put a motorsport brace on mine on the w/end - sharpens them up nicely. Someone should buy that - its a good price for a new one.
-
I agree - its a great hot hatch. It's not mid-engined, wide guard awesome though.
-
I new Megane wouldn't be awesome though.
