The Noltec ones were never going on the CA without a press (metal sleeve in the middle), and you would have needed a big-ass strong vice to put the bushing into the CA.
-
I do, but my wife doesn't understand.
-
Between 1 hour and 1 day... depends whether or not the existing bush comes out easily and your access to a press, plus on whether or not the control arms themselves come off easily (ie any ball joint issues). My recommendation would be to remove them and take to someone with a press and pay some $$$ to have them swap the bushes over. Way less stress.

Try it on a more level surface (looks like it is parked uphill) and without the sub, then (as has been suggested) measure to the sill and see if it is even.

Excellent </Mr Burns>. That's definitely worthy of pictures etc. Update your project thread

Have you got a whole lot of heavy crap in the boot?
-
Well, its worth checking, although I doubt anyone has one. Ask you friends... I'm after a 2002 rear chrome bumper, the SHORT version, don't need rubber or overriders. I can swap a long version without the rubber or overriders. Being very specific, I could also just use the two end pieces with my current centre section. Or a fibreglass one. Also looking for some kind of 2002-specific rear spoiler. I have a preference for the Turbo one, but not for the price BMW charge for a new one.

If he does, report it, referring to some (or all, if you can remember) of his prior names ... and he will get banned again.

Do not do it! It might not move the wheel rim any further out but the tyre will move over the 14mm difference. And lets not even consider the fronts.
-
LOL, nearly 4 hours and no bids ... at $1.
-
4x114 though. I can, however almost cost the seconds until JiB spots them and txts the seller asking the price. JiB - ET24 plus your adaptors is only ET4. It won't fit.

It'd be safe only if you wore it properly (ie not loose, sitting low properly across your hips not your abdomen), and they are a PITA for reversing etc. A bigger issue is you need a LVVTA Authority Card, which means a motorsport licence (Clubsport is cheap and easy), a club membership (how about the BMW Club), and an LVVTA/MSNZ legal harness. You also are supposed to do a couple of events a year minimum. Getting the authority card WILL mean your seat mount etc is looked at carefully by the LVVTA inspector. I think its free to get the Authority Card inspection - its not like a cert. JiB has done it. He drives around in perpetual fear that the cops will pull him over for the harnesses, even though they are legal.

No, $30+ for a small plastic bush for a ball joint on part of the throttle linkage on a 2002tii is expensive. I was very unhappy when I bought that one. Number 9 in this diagram
-
Nope. Mike's post gives you all the feasible options.
-
Yeah very similar to an E30 M3 engine in many ways. Made for power. I didn't suggest it mostly coz it wouldn't meet the requirement for massive power (although they can), and since its not BMW. OK, mostly because I forgot about it. They're getting hard (and expensive) to find too.
-
Does M6 or M5 stuff fit? Probably a touch pricey though! Or are you after proper calipers (non sliding)?
-
Pretty much word for word my opinion. Except I don't own an E30 M3 I do daily drive the E36 M3 though

If it was a BMW engine and a crazy power goal, probably an M50 cast iron block but maybe bump up the displacement B28 crank, preferably with custom pistons for slightly lower compression ratio. www.bimmerforums.com has a forced induction section with plenty of discussions on the M50. The bigger issue in RHD cars (and this applies to 1JZ) is that there is bugger all room to fit a decent downpipe around the steering column. I know plenty of guys have done it, but they are smaller ones, and it will ultimately restrict power. M50 generally seems to provide more problems with fitting a turbo too - these things need quite a big one, and there is less room than an M20. An RB25/26 has the exhaust on the good side, but its an RB. Ummm, I quite like the idea of a 1UZ twin turbo - a couple of small high mount turbos and ironically probably easier to fit a downpipe that fitting headers on them. But its not BMW. That's my 2c, and all those options are a lot of work.

You cant tell the price as its not no reserve.
-
Have you come across the parts diagrams at: http://www.realoem.com or http://bmwfans.info/
-
That's outrageous . I fixed JiB's cracked one with race tape and zip ties. JiB if you read this, go buy one from BMW.
-
Check for rust. Can definitely be a problem on E30s.

Your ex is definitely in the minority. The way the abatement of the DPB works is not meant to be efficient for the 0.00001% of the population which is made up of non-working mothers with PhDs. I'm not sure it is possible to design a system that is fair and suits her.
