    BBS RS :)

Woohoo! Just picked up my BBS RS wheels tonight.. Planning on putting them on my e30 M3. I had the wheels shipped from Germany last week on Friday and they arrived here today, perfect condition! Packging was A+ Wheels are: BBS RS 17"x8.5" all around. Heres a few pictures: (colour is a bit off) Laurence.
  2. http://www.classiccover.co.nz/ Really good company and you will get a pretty reasonable price. I have a quote with them to cover my M3 when I get it on the road. Cheers, Laurence
  3. Cheers for the links guys. Looks like going to a hire company will be the easiest option. I've got a winch on my 4x4 so wil just mount the front towball and winch the car up onto the trailer. Laurence.
  4. here's hoping the exchange rate is good in a few weeks time The conversion from Euro's to NZ$$ is killing me! Laurence.
  5. Bugger. Well at least you will turn up to things an hour early for the next 6 months lol Laurence.
  6. If I can sell my 4x4 then i'm going to get these wheels to go on my e30 M3. Just sent an email away today to the seller, hopefully they are still for sale. What do you guys recon? This set is 17"x8.5" et13, all wheels are 'shot penned' (mirror finish all over the wheel, including the inside etc) I'd prefer a staggered set of 8.5's up front + 9.5's at the rear but there aren't any avaliable atm.. Think i'd be able to handle 8.5's all over though Laurence.
  7. Looking good! Any chance of some interior + engine bay shots? Laurence.
  8. Well it depends on what your budget is for the upgrade? Also what type of music will you have etc? you have options to go for a nice set-up with good mid-high freq. or a nice bassey system. Personally i'm got DLS Ultimate 3-way speakers, running off a 4ch. amp and i'd have to say i'd never go back to anything else. The 'downside' is that they cost a lot more than something like jvc, pioneer, fusion etc etc. Laurence.
  9. I did the e36 today.. When it's on clock function hold down the set/re-set button (about 5seconds), then the clock will flash.. enter the new time in using the '1000' '100' '10' '1' buttons and press the set/re-set button again. Laurence.
  10. Check out: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry166665 Laurence.
  11. Story: I purchased a JCV-(KW-AVX700) 6.5" DVD head unit about 6months ago, used it once for a sound competition and then packaged it back up when I sold my car about 1 week later.. It's been in the box like this for the last 5 months and is as good as NEW!! Problem: I have a new JCV 6.5" DVD headunit made for a car with a double din head unit BUT my e30 M3 only has room for a single din head unit. Solution: I need to sell/trade the DVD unit for something smaller. I'm open to sale or trade.. which ever you prefer. Features: 50w x 4max power output 5.1ch surrond sound 6.5" DVD monitor DVD/CD/MP3/iPod This thing is awesome, has a wicked picture quality & more features than you could shake a stick at. So my options are... I'm open to sale - $800ono (RRP is still around $1600) http://www.jvccaraudio.co.nz/Factsheets/KW...KW-AVX700b.html Trade - something nice, pref DVD/CD player but a nice CD head unit would be fine. Laurence.
  12. Welcome aboard! Nice looking 330i Keep an eye out in the 'Meetings' thread.. us WGTN guys meet up every now & again.. bring the 330i along and say hi. Laurence.
  13. So if everyone is getting about average, wonder what an average score is?? Laurence.
  14. yet it would post a question of 'how would you park it in the garage..' After reading that it consumes 1,660 gallons of heavy fuel oil per hour I have to say I feel a whole lot better about the amout of petrol I use & the carbon footprint my car has Laurence.
  15. Westy. I believe that the Black e30 has the rather large intercooler due to this: EDIT: IIRC this thing has something like 850hp and over 1000nm. It's a monster. I might even have a vid of it doing a 1/4 mile run, smoking tyres basically the whole 1/4 mile Laurence.
  16. Drool... Some different versions of the BBS RS Laurence
  17. Like the car but not the headlights. Laurence.
  18. Why not photoshop the car so it's bio-friendly & runs on plant juice then hand it in as 2 essays hehe. Laurence.
  19. Nice.. do you have pics you can email me, post up?? Laurence.
  20. Are you staying with the wheels you have on there ATM? Might be keen on the BBS RS.. do they need spacers? Laurence.
  21. hence the reason low low cars are stickered and forced off the road.. Laurence.
  22. updating this thread as I now need to borrow/rent a car trailer for a similar move. Anyone in WGTN have a car trailer/know anyone whoe would be willing to rent/lend it out for a day? Cheers, Laurence.
  23. BBS RS 17's will set you back around $4000 - $4500 landed in NZ (depending on exchange rate).. That is 17 x 8.5 & 17 x 9.5 staggered set. Then you need tyres on top. Probably $8000 - $1200 a set (depending on the tyre) I've been looking at getting a set but the price is a bit of a drawback.. IMO they are HOT though! How about BBS LM's?? They seem to be a bit cheeper and still look pretty hot. Laurence.
