Any local machine shop/engine rebuilder should be able to lathe the end of the shaft down and re-thread the front pair. This is what I had done on my old shocks. Best leave it to the buyer, easier to install the inserts and measure how much shortening each shock requires to bring the springs captive. This would make a nice setup bmpowers + snypr's put together

Dont worry John, it took me two weeks looking at the same wiring diagram for a light bulb to finally flash on in the back of my mind when I was making the conversion loom for my M50. Yea Nick im speaking in general across the country. Because around here most of them are commodores also except one nice looking Navara. Dont know how many of you consider this but remember cops are still driving around in their personal cars when they are not on duty either.. I always bare this in mind whats to say they dont report you if they see you doing something stupid.

Problem is alot of unmarked cop cars arnt commodores.. Those unmarked medical vehicles are normally air rescue vehicles arnt they? Like the head medic. Not too many of those around.

Probably not the most practical place Riley. This would mean you would have to run the walbro after the surge tank under the bonnet also. You could do this and leave the walbro where it is but then that would be 4 lines instead of 3 running back upto the engine bay. The feed from the tank pump, the return to the tank, the feed to the walbro and the feed to the engine from the walbro.

I think what they mean is Jase, is to press the studs out and lathe them down from the wheel side of the spacer not the hub side. Also depends on how long the knurl is on the studs your using too. If it comes a fair way through the thickness of the spacer it wont leave much left to hold the stud in once machined down..

Yea im going to stick with the stock BMW coil packs going onto each spark plug. My mistake you guys were right there are 4 ignition outputs (drives) on the G3. So as you stated Mike I will need 3 ignitors, each of these ignotors will drive 2 coil packs?

Ive been reading the link ECU Manual and it only has 2 ignition outputs so that means you can only run two ignitors.. these in turn are capable of running from what I believe 4 individual coil packs (so support of upto 8cyl). So im thinking I have to run 3 coil packs off one ignitor and 3 of the other. Also spoke to my tuner this arvo and he said he will have to look but is sure im going to need two ignitors to run them.

Do they have built in ignitors? or are they located somewhere else? I was reading through the link ECU manual last night and it states that Link G3 LEM only supports 6cyl ignition systems with coil packs via wasted spark. It has to ignitor outputs in its loom so you have to run two ignitors per 3 coil packs.. Cheers, Luke

LOL Henry! You know the buzz im on right now... I just took her for a drive round the block as I figured out the issue with why she wouldnt start, the spark plugs were fouled miserably so cleaned them up and put my spare coil packs in and she runs like a dream. I got to the 2nd to last corner from my house and thought I might just put my foot down slightly and see what she sounds like, 1st gear I hit about 2psi so and changed to 2nd... put my foot down slightly and hit about 5psi and the wastegate opened and hissed something evil! Ladies and gentleman the M50 Turbo project has just hit BOOST! Even though its not quite finished or tuned, you wouldnt believe the buzz im on right now for even getting this far! Im stoaked! BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ Hahah Hopefully get a video tommorow! Watch this space!
