  2. Hahahaha nice one John boozy azz I came home early from town rofl! Work in the morning so came off the beers early Hit that dyno g and you will be safe azzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  3. Whoa haha didnt realised you bumped it John. But hey not much of an update.. I went out to Dobsons after work and took a few quick shots of the Link mounted in place and a good shot of the plastic cover that goes on the rocker cover and the damage that the turbo done too it. Tony at dobsons has made up a temporary cover to protect the coil packs etc but im going to have to make something more permanent up to protect them and the bonnet also. When I turned up the car was being towed round the back and yes......... into the dyno room sweeeeeet! So Ross the owner is getting started on it on Monday. He going to configure the Link and get her running and tuned, then hes going to let me know when shes ready for the final power run which I shall most hopefully get on video for you envious followers p.s they have put the RX7 550cc injectors back in yoooooo

All I can say is F**Kn awesome! Cant wait to see this finished!
  5. That sucks dude but hey atleast you know what to expect next time aye John. To be honnest Cam shoudlnt a 38mm should be more than plenty? A 38mm wastegate shuld support my gt3540 easily let alone a t3/t4 well so im told.. i think that John could be correct here with the flow that his gate has with the small hole of the back of the exhaust housing. I used to run a 38mm on my T3/T4 on my old car with no creep, I think its more to do with the flow and how the wastegate is setup. And I definitely agree with Cam as far as the tuning goes. Tuning comes with experience and experience only its not something you can just learn from the books. All good with installing this other dudes map he sent with him having a similar setup. No two cars are the same and theres bound to be a few variations with fueling and flow alone which will need to be checked over now with that map running your system. I agree Glenn that Johns perseverance is more than enough and the amount of times you have just about been ready to give up John I commend you on that. But I dont think it has been a disaster.. more a learning curve for you and I dont think it helps that you have been in such a rush to get it all up and running before you got your license back. I admire your confidence in going all out to achieve such a project as this. Very much done the same thing when I was 18 with my Integra, map sent over the internet and wrote it to my own eprom chip installed it in a factory ecu etc... also the same turbo and wastegate I used and yes I learned a few important things from the experience and probably have alot more to learn from my current project but thats what its all about right? So too you John I say, what an acheivement so far!

  9. Crap I wonder if it was a 7 Series and I was just being naive... bah im not sure lol could be worth checking out though I dunno haha either way he rekons he has a spare M30B35. He looks like a pirate lol
  10. Was talking to a guy who came into work yesterday he turned up in a 1989 E34 535i with the M30B35 is it? Told him id let all the fellows on here know about these two vehicles: he wants $4000 for the E34 and also comes with a spare M30B35 rebuilt he also said he would sell the spare motor seperate im not sure what price he said he would take for just the motor though. He also reckons he has a 91 750iL witha V12 motor out of a 2002 bmw. Im not that up there with the larger 7 series and what they come out out with or the engine codes. This 7 series is dereged and he wants $6000 for it.. He said the motor had done like 67,000 there abouts. His name and number are Rangi (lol) phone 027761463 Rego for the E34 is SI2121 Rangi turned up on crutched and is on medication alot hence why he is selling due to the new apparant legislation coming in about not being allowed to operate a motor vehicle on prescribed drugs? So hes selling and buying a cheap run about which hes going to try his luck driving around in. He said atleast that way its only a $500 car that gets impounded or crushed and not these beauts Cheers, Luke
  11. Jonno I work at Partmaster here in New Plymouth. For the last four months we have made bonus and quarterly last month, this is better than our figures for last year .Normally at the end of each month things die off but damn this week has been flatout and sales have been great! I dont think the Naki is feeling things as bad as elsewhere around the country though.. Also being in the automotive trade id say people are scared to spend up on brand new cars on the yards and are fronting up with repairing and maintaining their vehicles..
  12. Never really taken much interest into F1 up until now, but damn now I cant wait to watch Shcumacher's return! Even without testing like said in that interview he will surely be able to adapt to the car in a short amount of laps? Very talented man.. if anyone he can make a return like this and he is still in a fit condition.
  13. Whoa you have a good range of Teng there Miles, I see you still have plenty of Race items there... we have been run out of it in our store. Your Teng display looks pretty sweet!

  18. Happy Birthday bro, have a great day!
  19. Im using M20 flywheel though... so maybe i had a couple of auto ones and a couple of manual ones or a mix of m20 and m50 i dunno?
  20. Im pretty damn sure there are more than one type of starter for the E30 M20... I ran into this problem where the starter gear wasnt meshing properly with the flywheel, this was due to there being something like 7 teeth on the gear where the others had 6 or 8 or so cant remember from the top of my head now.
  21. - When you wanna bash up the driver of an E30 with Mugen and spoon sports stickers amongs the shopping list down the side - ur life stands still and cant think of what to do with yourself when your E30 is away at a workshop
