As far as looks go id way rather a 4 door but still like the 1 doors also. -
Addictive is an understatement Glenn! And too right about it driving you nuts! Best I could do was 22.282 seconds... how did you do 30.219 Brook?
-
Happy Birthday bro! Hope you had a good one
-
I would have to agree here with Muke, thats a huge ammount of torque! Not doubting you Glenn or Graham but didnt think they would need to be so tight?
-
Oh yea well thats always promising Must be good to be upto speed, its funny when you go back to an old computer that someone may have its sooo frustrating!

Good news eh! A waste of tax payers $ yes but at the end of the day this is his life... His life prob doesnt mean much to many others but Id rather see an innocent man free I just know if I was in a prison cell for 13 years and knew very well I was innocent I would be very angry and extremely gutted! But hey how will we really every know? By the way I thought they concluded that his father murdered the family, washed all the clothes then killed himself? Kinda makes sense. He had time to think about what he had just done, so messed in the head he couldnt live with it so shot himself in the process.

The worst bit is in two years time that your system is going out of date once again I was talking to someone the other day about the whole Holden side of things, they said that the Australian Government wont let Holden go under. Apparantly the entirety of the Commodore VE V6's are made in Australian factorys, motor and all... Something like 1 Billion dollars was spent incorporating all the machinery and systems to produce the VE V6 Commodores.. maybe they will start to produce their own V8 Powerplants also. Now theres an expensive automotive computer system for ya!

Haha yea shes pretty caring, big heart that one! She text u about ur crash? Oh yea haha sweet az man I can get a locky done for you pretty cheap I have a TIG welder now pick it up tommorow. Ill bring u a locky down next time im down that way just as long as you have a spare open diff to trade me
-
Told my sister about it bro she was like asking if your all good and all. Said "What no hes too nice" hahaha!
-
Thats cool Riley! Yea Ive been known to be a bit heavy on gearboxs and diffs.. hopefully ive grown up a little bit since my cars been of the road haha! But still wanna see what it can do lol Haha John my 318i standard had a medium case diff.. weird eh
-
Brooo... That sucks so bad Nath! Loved the colour too! Its the most gutting thing aye, atleast most of the stuff can be swapped over but still sux He only has third party so insurance company wont even look at his car.
-
Its funny the huge most important things seem like forever to get done and then all of a sudden it all comes together and you find all these annoying little jobs that need to be completed. Good to see it comming along so fast. Did you wire in the megasquirt yourself? Are you tunning it? Haha yea thats the reason I went to 5 stud for better selection in wheels and also for better traction and bigger brake setup! Didnt think id end up getting 17x10 and 17x9 haha
-
Oh ok sweet I must have a look sometime John thanks. So back on topic E30 rear ends with LSD and the 325i halfshafts should nicely handle 300kw with the right treatment.
-
Oh ok how obvious is the weld bead? Dont really know if mine have them
-
Yea wont be far off just maybe a slightly better design.. plus your m20 does not take up as much room as my motor i dont think. Haha fitment well its about 15mm from the block but steers well clear of the steering arm, probably about 40-50mm at its closest point. One catch to all this though, I have to undo the steering rack to get the downpipe out haha only 3 bolts though. Yea sux waiting on manifold trust me I waited 6 months for mine and you cant do anything else until you have that because its the main part of mounting most of the other parts up. Thats right atleast you arent doing it twice and have it there for a bigger turbo if you desire. Yea cheers man its getting there ever so slowly aye. Its running only off tha factory ecu though, still needs the rest of the exhaust welded up from the bottom of the downpipe flange back. Still gotta put rear 5 stud conversion in then get my guards extended for the WIDE wheels on all four corners. Then out to the tuners to have the Link installed and tuned and then maybe I can think of getting a cert haha

Whoa! Never had that issue with my locked diff lol but im still going to get an LSD man. The worst I done was smashed two CV joints so upgraded to the 325i halfshafts and CV joints, that was because the skid pad was so sticky from all the rubber down. Riley is there a difference between 325i and 325i/s (what is 325i/s?) halfshafts? I pressumed the 325i ones I was supplied with are the beefier ones but are they really? They dont look much bigger than the 318i ones I had in prior.. however they didnt fit the original hubs I had on the car, this giving me the intention that they are definitely bigger and stronger?
-
But we all know what RWD turbos are good for we have a local skid pad here it would be shy of me not to try it out haha also want to try out a track day that my mates Dad runs for drifting so somethings boud to give naturally with drifting/skids. But still good too know that the driveline may hold up to a slight beating..
-
Yea your manifold I think will be much sleeker, mine wasnt well designed the guy that started it off was in a hurry and the very back runner comming out of number six cyl extends out a bit and gradually loops back towards the front of the manifold.. this in turn gives the downpipe no room to go down along side the manifold, instead it has to go to the back of the engine bay and the hook back round the steering arm and back out again under the car. Either way I would have had to do it this way so thought I may as well go 3" which is what most people told me to run taking into consideration the size turbo I am using and for the boost I could possibly run. 2.5" should be fine on 10psi but it wouldnt hurt to run 3" to be safe (3" = more room for turbo to breathe) remember turbos dont need alot of back pressure. Heres some quick shots I took: From the first image you can only imagine the crazy twist the dowpipe does under the turbo manifold once bolted up like in the second pic Luke
-
Wanna bet dude it can be done haha will put some pics up of my downpipe + exhaust setup when its completed... 3" right the way. I seriously nearly went 2.5" cause I just had no way of fitting 3". But after a bit of thinking and trial and error it can be done.. and id be suprised if your turbo manifold is as tight as mine haha. Even if I went to 2.5" it was still looking pretty tight anyways so worked out a way to fit 3".
-
Is that so? Ive been trying to figure this one out for a while also, thats re-assuring for me with my setup also as I was worried about the hp my driveline could handle.. Riley do you know if the 325i CVs will go into the 318ti 5lug rear hubs?
-
Yes thats right haha I thought you said you were using an aftermarket RRFPR also? But yea the stock FPR is more than adequate as others have mentioned here on Bimmersport but my tuner insists I run one so I best not argue with him lol.. Haha yeap they sure do look purrdy but most of the lines going to your fuel rail you can not see haha! But I kinda wanna put flash AN fitting on mine now lol
-
- Cam Yea thats a valid point. I think I paid roughly $3,200.00 this time last year for my Link G3 which included wiring it in completly and a full tune to get the car to as close to perfect tune and power run. They also tidy up all the wiring and delete any un-neccessary wires etc.. However in saying that Cam my fuel pump, boost controller, Oxygen sensor is all there and ready to go. Fair enough if you know how to wire something like that up, I probably could too if I had the patience but thought id leave the tune and install to the experts in that area of the build. Lol poor headgasket? - Jamez Are you going to pay someone to install the Link if you went down that track? If so you'd be best to ring the local installer/supplier in Auckland (Dodsons etc.. dont know who else does them there) and get a total price of the cost of the ECU + Install and tuning
