  1. you make a very valid point. Furthermore I would have thought at 160kph you'd quite possibly benefit from the downforce of a GT Spoiler .
  2. Can you please elaborate on that gannet, I'm not having a dig, but I'm not sure the approach your coming from. Different compounds will give different results. The performance pads on my E30 series car do stop in far less distance than my road pads, about 3/5th short distance than stock, but thats just an estimate. They are a road / race pad and work in all temperatures.
  3. Perforamance Pads on stock discs are great for me. I'd recommend something from the Hawk range, or talk to Racebrakes. Your discs wont be getting super hot, so dont think you need cross drilled or anything.

Andrew had a 260 box fitted to the 318iS turbo a while back, not sure if this helps.
  6. Jack it up and hold it at the top and bottom of the wheel and move it bakc and forth to see if there is any play or movement. Could be a rear wheel bearing.

  9. $25k - 32k would be my guess.
  10. my advice would be to: jack it up at the diff and put axle stands on either side of hte car, disconnect the drive shaft from the diff end. That will at least get it mobile, although being an E28 you may have to remove the exhaust to get to the drive shaft (dont know E28 setups, but think they're centre exhaust, not sure where they mount in relation to drive shaft but surely it wont imped the diff end) . Put it on a tow truck and take it to your nearest trusted mechanic. Do some research on the right tools to take before you go.
  11. nah Gus seems to have owned several Black E30's lol.. 325i's at that. I'm fairly sure he owned this a while back.
  12. Isnt this Gus' old car? The numberplate looked familiar and the specs sound like it. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-170014132.htm
