Takapuna Panel Beaters is who I use. Marty the owner know many of us Bimmersport people. He is also the BMW E30 race series champion. My E60 is there at the moment.
-
Just make sure they are not using their usual cheap UJ's. ADL are pretty bad for that. I used to work there.
-
Also the 330D E90. They are great cars. Just have to find a nicely spec'd one. So many have sparse options and horrible color combos.
-
Could always look at a 530D. Around 10L/100kms in heavy traffic. 6.1-6.8L/100KM's on the open road. I have an 05 530D E60. Driving from Chch I got just over 1100kms to a tank. Including a bit of spirited driving over the hill to Masterton. There is the extra cost of RUC. But in reality you are still paying quite a bit less. And the E60 will cost you no more than an E39. They are comparable for maintenance costs. They are not slow either. Modern Diesels are pretty impressive. However you can probably pick up some Jap car with less KM's on the clock for the same price.

Wish we had events like that. Bimmerfest was a week or two back also. Huge numbers attend from all over the country. We have trouble getting people to cross the harbor bridge :S
-
Spose you have already invited Mr Fearghus. He owns the M1 Replica Race Car. Also owns a few other E31's too. Was driving around in a Alpina B12 the other day.

I always just called it Baby sh*t Yellow.

Posted them in the past. Was a black on black 3.8 in Japan for sale for less than $25K landed a while back.

http://www.chemicalguys.com/Headlight_Repair_How_to_Fix_damaged_Headlights_s/124.htm Also watch their very detailed and well presented Youtube videos. I am also just about to take my headlights to GT Refinishers to be cut and re-cleared. Will take before and afters.

Yeah I love the E60 now. Honestly I did not like them when they first came out. Most didn't. They do come in some horrible color combos though. And there are some really povo spec'd ones floating around. Like I bet if there was the option to pick a HQ Brown with Hillman Green leather, someone would have picked it. My car is from the south. Greymouth. Very surprised it didn't have the heated seats. I don't care about them but the Mrs who is like a little Ice Queen really wants them.

The people have just changed. Some people have moved on to other things and different brands. Others just don't have time anymore. Though the forum still directs the people who need the help to the people with the knowledge which is good. When it stops doing that then it will die very quick. Though if you are reading through other forums and you stumble across some good tips/info/builds please post them up. Isn't there a published book about restoring and modding your E30? Edit: Maybe we could start a section for external links. Builds, Parts, guides. Our community is pretty small. But sharing the info from other sources would help a lot.

I think mine is just double sided tape holding them on. haha. Are those seats the comfort ones? I have the sports seats. But sadly they are not heated. The Mrs really wanted heated seats but it was slim pickings for E60 Diesel Msports.

Nice. Wish my E60 was black. I have the AC spoilers on mine. Look great. I reckon some Euro length plates would make it look great too. Keep the stock GUN plate and convert it to Euro.

Nearly lost an Altezza this way back in 03. They ended up damaging the steering colomn and ripped apart the wheel trying to break the lock. Huge mess. Thank god it held.
-
Yup went halves in a rear seat with Jon the Pom to redo our seats. Houndstooth is hard to find.
-
Shock mounts are the same size but the bolt hole is smaller and needs to be drilled out by about 1mm. Valving will be different. E36 has more junk in the trunk.
-
I think Brent at BMWorld has one. Was advertised recently in FS section. I have a manual E30 rack if you don't have girly arms.
-
Purchased an E39 to replace the E34. That just doesn't compute. Good luck with the sale.
-
Mines diesel. I didn't want a short slow trip car. Apparently not good for them. Stop/Start traffic has to be more stressful on the car than open road driving.
-
Yup I purchased my E60 with slightly more KM's than I am used to. But full service history and no city driving at all. Low KM's on a car of this age makes me wonder how many hours it has done sitting around idle.
-
That 745 badge looks oddly placed. Could the Airbag light be on due to the kid seat in the back with the belt unplugged? Tyres won't be cheap.

Glenn from RedAnt does all the prints for the race series. Could ask him. http://www.redant.co.nz/ -
$50k E30 M3 makes the $25k E30 325 look cheap

Usually for the lose. You would need to have the car checked for what repairs have been done since it arrived to pass compliance. They didn't even take off the Jap plate tags. -
Just click the refresh button till you find one you can read. Some of them are near impossible.

I have about 5 or 6 different types. None of it will harm paint if it is only there temporarily. Mitre10, Repco, Any paint shop, supercheap.
