Hi guys, I have for sale the motor from my E30 M325i Parts car. I am selling the engine as a drop in turn key package. The motor is complete and still has its Loom and alternator attached. It is from a well maintained 1987 M325i. The cars body has sadly been lost to rust and de-registration. The Cam belt, water pump and tensioner have been done in the last 1000kms. The engine is very quiet with no tappet noise at all. It starts first pop as you will see in the attached video. Speedo states 160K miles. But the engine seems tighter than that. Either very well maintained or has been replaced with a lower KM motor at some stage in its life. The following is included in the package. Complete M20B25 Engine Loom and ECU with No wires cut or broken. Alternator Air Flow Meter Viscous Fan Starter motor This is PICK UP ONLY from Torbay on the North Shore in Auckland. I have little time to organise shipping. The price is firm at $1200. Please PM or send me a txt on 0211 88 77 33 Cheers, Dan Video of the engine starting from Cold.

You are correct. You can't contract out of the Consumer Gaurentees act. Many retail stores try this and get caught out all the time. Most just hope the person affected doesn't bother.

Quite a few trailers are switchable. Get a Diesel BMW James. Towed from Wellington - Masterton - Auckland with a full weight E30 and still got 10.1kms/L. They are getting cheaper. http://fastestlaps.com/comparisons/bmw_530d-vs-bmw_540i.html -

Mines slightly bigger and silver. Has a detachable Knob too. -
Better off looking for a m50b28 crank. M20B25 pistons and block with m20b20 rods. End up with a better engine.

Nice purchase. Picked the right car Dave. E60 is far superior to the E39. The E39 was a brilliant car. But BMW did an even better job with its Successor. Love our E60 530D. Just wish I was allowed to drive it. Sam uses it as her daily.

Yup $1 reserve does not mean cheap. Lately the cars I have been watching that are up for auction have had people fighting over them at the last min. Price rockets up very quickly. Oh and calm down on the bids guys. Doesn't end till the 3rd of April.

Interesting that the article has them saying they won't do it. But it is exactly what they do at Albany Westfield.

Damn. I knew it would end up like this haha. I haven't even started on the car yet. The complete Kit is sold though sorry guys. Once I have the rest of her apart I will get in touch. The running gear in this car is in great condition. I was almost going to swap the motor out of my car for this one. I should have most of her stripped out this weekend I hope. I will be in touch soon with what I have, condition and price. Obviously the Engine, Manual conversion and LSD are extremely popular items. I will be needing to move them along quickly once sold and will need to be picked up from Torbay on the North Shore. Watch this space. Or maybe I will start a new thread.

Yeah my old 540 was from HK. 110,000kms. Drove like it had 300,000kms +.

Yeah but your emails and letters are pretty awesome. Getting let off for creativity lol.
-
I did. It will be up for parts soon. Sent you a PM Craig.

Westfield shopping centre management general manager Linda Trainer said the centre provided substantial parking for shoppers within time allocations, and issues relating to the roadworthiness of vehicles should be checked carried by the council or police on public roads and not at shopping centres. Oh and Botany is also private. Back in about 2005 I had an argument with a wheel clamp extortionist their. Was clamped for being in a 15 min car park for more than 10 mins. Wanted $80 cash to remove it. Lots of threats towards them and they took it off. As I worked around there I made sure I watched how they put it on. One extended hex key. About a T10. Next time I will get me a free clamp for the trailer.

Hmm should look into the rules around this. Because what is the difference between them entering private property at Westfield and entering private property at your home. I will hit the guy up next time I see him. Which is often.

Does anyone have access to see who owns the car park around Albany Mall? I see a council parking warden wandering around what i thought was Privately owned and maintained land. He turns up in his council car, hands out a ton of Rego/WOF fines and then buggers off. I have had a similar fine as your Mrs Tyler. I paid for 2 hours near my old Uni. Left at lunch time. Came back 1 hour later and was dead lucky to get the same park. Paid for another 2 hours. Got a fine for not moving my car. $60 odd bucks. Wrote in to complain and around 2 months later they sent back a barely decipherable auto generated letter letting me off.

Think I will get the Mobility Kit. And take the full size wheel only if I am towing or something. Takes up too much space in the boot. Also doesn't anyone have a copy of the latest BMW NAV Dvd Don't you hate it when the old owner just cleans the car out of everything. Even if it is only good for this car. -

Cool will look into this soon. Want to make sure all the cosmetic things are tidied up and that if I get a flat that I can actually do something about it. Car came with a full size wheel as a spare in the boot. Takes up a heap of space. Car had run flats once so never had a space saver. However the car doesn't have a jack either. What do you guys think of the M Mobility Kits? http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E60-530i-M54_3.0L/Wheels/Emergency_Equipment/ES2728381/ Otherwise I was thinking about getting this kit. Though a heap of money for a jack. http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E60-530i-M54_3.0L/Wheels/Tools/ES2530819/ -

I think I will get the required service done and then remove the swirl flaps. I am interested in having the car chipped/remaped. Guess I would need to talk to Gavin at Hi Velocity. -
OEM-BMW parts from ebay in USA 1/3 the cost of NZ. WHY?
Driftit replied to kulgan's topic in General Discussion
I got them off the shelf from Gavin at Euro Italian. Still sitting in my garage while I wait 5 weeks for one part to come back that was sent incorrectly from the states. -
Bring it to the race series then. You are still welcome at our private track days of course. Will just keep sending you invites until you accept.

I buy all my BMW parts through Gavin at Euro Italian. He always finds me what I need quickly. I usually don't have time to wait 2 weeks for an essential part. But I buy all of my performance parts from overseas. Getting anything here is a costly chore, but mostly just not available. -

Drove from Wellington to Masterton then on to Auckland today. 10.8l/km by Taupo. 9.7 by Auckland. Towing a heavy trailer with an E30 on it. Stoked with that. Better than my bloody 540 did towing nothing. Really enjoying it. -

Bit different from the guide I was reading using PK Screws, a Dremmel and some cheap sealant. Haha.
