How did Auckland become the most unsafe city in Australasia? https://www.1news.co.nz/2023/12/06/auckland-the-least-safe-city-in-australasia-new-report-says/#:~:text="Auckland ranks only 124th in,a tough approach to crime.

I felt as safe in DC/US as I do here. That was when Trump got in and there were protests in the streets. You're so unlikely to see all the rubbish you see on the Internet and the news in the US. I would say your local dairy has a higher chance of being ram raided. An equivalent job with health insurance and you would live a far superior lifestyle in the US. Especially if you love cars. Start getting exposure to the crazy sh*t on social media going on here in NZ and you will think we have just a few years left before total collapse.

That's great. Also hate the sunroof. May all sunroofs burn in hell.

330D... (expanded - needing a car for longish commute)

I feel like I can see how brittle the plastics are in the engine bay of that E39. -
I've also heard a decent wave is coming through. And it is brutal. Wife and I are still fighting it over a week since first positive.

Covid. My first time. Most sick I have been since meningitis as a kid. Avoid sitting next to clearly sick tourist families on the interislander.

Looks like it. Haven't reviewed this year yet. Probably a mistake in the price somewhere. Kms line up though. Edit: Found it. Fixed.

That's just one car too. I'm nearly done with NZ

Here is the last 3 years. Every fill up and kms recorded. Not sure why I bother.

9.11 measured over 70,000kms. Ignore whatever your dash is telling you. Wildy inaccurate.

Is This Where The E30 Market Is Now..?

Ouch. Whatever a Live tag is worth or a M20 that probably needs bearings. So 5k seems about right... -

I would always pick an E34 over a E39 these days. It's not 2010 anymore. The E39's are all flogged time bombs. Most of the flogged time bomb E34's are long gone to the wreckers and only the loved ones remain. sh*t in 2010 most of the E39's had had zero maintenance. Imagine them now. -
Watchdog reset is an initialized reset either by you or by reaching a certain programed parameter such as no response from a module for a period of time. Often initialized by a fault or loss of coms somewhere in the system. The E34 EEPROM I would say it is talking about is the one on the back of the speedo cluster that holds your Mileage etc. So you could be right about a loose connection somewhere. Especially if the cluster has been out.

Yup that's what I use too.

I assume you are 70+? 😉 Has to be a dark interior for me. I quite like this terracotta interior my E87 has. But I am so glad the Merc is black. I've had grey before in my E46 and it was like it was always slightly dirty no matter how much I cleaned it. Had tan in my E39 and it felt dated and grubby, especially because it also had tan carpets and dash.

Referred to DHL Parcel Germany. Informed me that the shipper will need to initiate the investigation. Have asked the store to do so.

Still waiting on whatever useless NZ courier company that is delivering my package that arrived in the country on the 26th. 14 days in NZ.

I have a Powerbuilt 1/2" set that I purchased 20 years ago and have thrashed. Still mint. Still tight. I've lost far more tools than I have broken. Or they have been borrowed at the race track and never made it back. I have a bunch of Milwaukee power tools. I purchased them whilst living in the US. It made sense there. I am not convinced they do here. I look at the Ryobi stuff often.
-
A hoist. I wouldn't trade it for anything now.
-
Anyone know who to contact when a DHL package has been sitting in NZ without delivery since the 26th? The DHL investigation process is next to useless. First time I have had issues with DHL. But of course it is the NZ side of things. It left Germany and arrived in NZ in just over a day.... Maybe the courier here is still navigating the potholes on SH1.

Isn't Turners owned by ECS?

Battle going on right now for this very tidy E34. https://www.trademe.co.nz/4384513631

Youngins at work are already doing that with clothing out of China using panadabuy. Working well for them. Nerds (including me) are buying computer parts from Microcenter and having people bring everything back to avoid bad shipping and GST. Quite some savings going on.

Getting really high shipping prices from rockauto as of late.
