I am not sure if I have posted our findings about the BioFuel from Gull on this Forum. But ST HiTech who tune my car and run a Dynapack did there own little test. BP98 Gull Force 10 Elf Race Gas On their S15 Silvia they got an extra 20RWKW from the BioFuel over the BP98. This was then proven again with a 400RWKW R33 GTR they were tuning. 400 on Biofuel and around 380 on BP98. The Elf Race gas was only a little bit better than the Force 10. Will see if I can get him to give me the dyno sheets. The only sh*t thing is that once tuned to Biofuel on this high powered cars you can only use BioFuel or your knock level gets to high. So pretty much means you have to plan ahead when you travel anywhere.

Hmm I think I will get my Dad one of those media centers. He does not have a PC though. But will just bring it over to my house and I will load a weeks worth of crap on to it. And I think I will give Sky a call and organise some component cables. Should give a better picture until he gets the HD version.

There is a company in Auckland that will make any gasket you want. Mate purchased a multilayer metal one from them. But I just can not remember the name of the company. They are very cheap. If they dont have the template they just get you to bring in a stock one to copy.

Hey does anybody have any info on the MYSky HD unit about to come out? Just want to know if it will be HDMI or just component? Will look at upgrading my Dad so he can take advantage of his Plasma. At the moment with the current MYSky which is only normal RCA it looks like he is watching youtube. Also was looking at getting him a HD Media Center that can take a HDD. So far the only ones I have come across that have half decent features are the MVix ones. They are quite pricey though. Anybody have one or used one before? Would be looking at the MX-780HD http://www.mvixusa.com/index.php

Wow. Ok. I think I will stick with the smaller wheels on my cars. Lithuanian Plates.

Has anyone been up the top of the Arch De Triumph in Paris? Well for those who dont know about it. It is one giant roundabout that has no lanes. It is chaotic all the time. On average there is a crash there every 7 mins. I do have a vid somewhere that I will hunt down. While recording we got some good action of a cop car running over a guy on a scooter. Not 100% sure if it is true but apparently you have no insurance if you crash on it. This is not my vid. But gives you an idea.

$5K ouch! Mine cost me about $1800 through a nice place in Whitford. I have to pull out my 2 way diff from the 180 as it is leaking. But I am not sure if I should just wait till tomorrow. Avoid any bad luck.

All these Petrol Companies yet no Competition between them

My family owned Shell on Quay Street back in the 80's. Was the only 24hr station in Auckland. Haha. -
All these Petrol Companies yet no Competition between them
Driftit replied to Driftit's topic in General Discussion
You sure about that. Mate of mine just moved to Chch from Auckland and said the prices were the same the whole way there on his drive down. I have to admit. At first when petrol started to rise I thought oh well thats just what happens. But now that I am starting to feel the effects I thought I would have my cry. Oh and I can't believe you guys still remember anything from Eco101. I only did it last year and dont remember a thing. Haha. What is the Governments Tax rate on Petrol? Do they charge tax on the pump price or the price per purchased "barrel"? Should also add that in no way does any advertising or supermarket discount/flybuys bullshit influence which station I choose. Because I have no choice in price I replace that option with who has the best gas for my car. -
Its now mid next month man. You can make it easy.

As my topic title states. Why is there all these petrol companies yet I dont see any competition in prices between them all. They seem to all be working as one entity. If one raises prices so do the others. They may hold for 1/4 or 1/2 a day then will match. It seems to me they can charge what ever they like. One giant monopoly that has the public by the balls and does not care. I also noticed that they have put their drink and other confectionary prices up another .50c on average making a simple bottle of water around $3.50. Around $1.20 more than my local Dairy. But really I would like to know why there is no price competiton at all.

Have a look at the SNZ website. www.nissansilvia.co.nz It stretches to what ever size screen you have with no problems.
-
Avoid Tyre shops and their cheap old equipment. Go to Autolign on Carbine Road by Sylvia Park. They are professionals. Their machine is state of the art. They also align large amounts of race cars.
-
Thats cool. Is it just to do with the software? Silvia Club uses something NUke? And it just stretches to what ever size screen you are on.
-
Yeah I will come along to the Bimmersport day to compare. If I still have my 180 I can run that at the end of the day for even more comparrison.
-
Not the ones I have seen. Infact we have tested a few Dyno's now. The highest reading one was Tourqe Performance who were using a Rolling Dyno. It was reading about 15rwkw more. Another Dynapack from Speedsource is also reading 15rwkw more that the ST one. This is all done with the Silvia club. ST Hitech, Tourqe Performance and Speedsource are the clubs main tuners. Been plenty of arguments about it. But one fact we have found with various rolling dynos is that they all read a little higher. As they use correction values.
-
Is there anyway to adjust the form layout to suite a 19" wide screen. Wide screens are pretty much run of the mill now. And it annoys me that the bimmersport forum is scrunched up in the middle. It also resizes small pics that are only 800X500 when there is no need unless you are running a 14" CRT Also am I the only one that has missing emoticons? Alot of seem to have the red X instead. Please tell me off if I am just trying to find things with my eyes closed again though.

Had my stock 325i Dynoed for fun yesterday at ST HiTech. ST uses a Dynapack Hub Dyno. It is also knowen to read quite a bit lower than rolling dyno's. No correction figures are used. Also ignor the name at the bottom of the sheet. That was the car that ran before me. To work out the cars tourqe output just divide the peak tourqe by the final drive ratio. Car specs Stock 1985 325i Manual Exhaust has been changed but not for power 300,000kms all original Also as a comparison this car had more tourqe and a better power curve than a stock Nissan S14 with an SR20DET.
-
Most people who do this conversion get everything custom made. And use an aftermarket ECU that does not require most of the orginal loom from the motor. I have played around with SR20DET's for about 9 years now. And they are great motors. But for an E30 conversion I would really suggest that you have a look at Toyota's 1JZGTE. Much much stronger motor. Capable of making huge power. And they are half the price of an SR.

Had 3 IPUDS in about 2 months in the UK. Just kept shitting out for no reason. Then it got stolen. And I just spent the insurance money on something else. Now I have a Sony W880 Walkman series phone with a 2gb card. Headphones are mean. Phone is mean. Size of a nano but makes calls and even video calls if you want. Never had one problem in 1 1/2 years.
-
SNZ is mainly a forum. But everyone enjoyed the meets and cruises so much we thought a mega meet would go down well. And it did. It is always worth a try. SNZ is only Silvias from Nissan. Bimmersport covers all BMW models. Should have more numbers.
-
Hmmm will give it a try anyway. I have some Honda's to kill in a few weeks at puke. Want to see if the extra HP in the 325 will pull better times than the lighter 320 E30's too. You should come Jonathan.

Drift/Grip/Drift/Grip/Drift/Grip all day long. Multiple groups. Ran really well. I can't believe Bimmersport does not have more Track Days. Ideal cars for it.
-
Is this ok? The sidewall will be slightly stretched. Would just like to run them for a track day coming up.
-
Mint. Haha I really should search huh. Cheers.
