  1. Freshly rebuilt M20B20 for my racecar. Put it in today and runs mint.
  2. Read the names on the back window. It should give you an idea of who use to race that car. This car was his last ride too. Sadly passed away racing at Bathurst. I am pretty sure it is the original car.
  3. Haha yeah he helped me out the other day. Was pretty stoked to get a sweet too. Cheers Mate.
  4. NZ does have some strange priorities. As an example while I was in the UK i was mucking around on Ebay and by accident purchased a 1986 RX7 for 70 quid. It had half a rear number plate and two broken rear lights. No MOT and uninsured. Drove around for 4 months and never even got looked at. Only cop to even look at me just smiled and I waved back.

Well I am going to give it a try. But can almost guarantee that my first three text msgs will be. "Pull a phat drif bo" "Gangsta drifda bo gis you 6g large" "Swap for my Cefibro" And other modern lingo from white guys that are confused.
  6. Was just talking to a cop mate of mine. He is apart of the P Squad and could not care less about these plates. Yet he has been told that if he is driving around in his Unmarked crewman workute he should pull them over and ticket them. I bet he wont though.
  7. Awesome best of luck Ollie. Pissed off as I just ordered some Euro plates for my 325 and my Dads E55 Merc. No way was I giving Plates any money. I can be fined 3 times and it is still cheaper than buying one from those pricks.
  8. I am pretty sure my E30 320 takes 1 litre also. And it does not have ABS.
  9. State/NAC are not that cheap. They are currently spending $11K to repair a friends S14 Silvia worth about $15K. And of course he got to choose where it went. Although make sure you state every little detail about your car to state. I rang them to let them know I had purchased new mags and they canceled my insurance on the spot. Breach of contract. Moved all out cars to AMI because of this.
  10. Been looking for one for about 8 months mate. Unless you can get a second hand one you will be out of luck.
  11. Ahh ok. Does it work in a similar way to brake cleaner? Good to strip off oil and greese?
  12. Hey guys I am looking for some good cleaning products that I can purchase in bulk. Has to be something that strips off old dirt and oil. E.g. Brake cleaner. But I am sick of buying the expensive brake cleaner cans. What can I get and where can I get it. I dont have a parts cleaning tray. If I had more space I would get one for sure.

    HPC Coating

Yeah will make up some of them too. As it is very slippery when wet. Just about lost my balls when i slipped and landed on the edge of the race seat. Really have to stop wearing jandles. They also get stuck between the peddle and the rolecage. Get my manifold back this week so will post up some pics. Hope it lasts longer than the 20 odd mins the "1200deg" Exhaust paint did. What a joke.
  14. Its on heaps of forums now. Just easier to cut and paste it from the site I mod. lol
  15. Glenn. As long as the dealers car was boarder checked (ie Landed in NZ) before the 31st of Dec then he has nothing to worry about. It is the cars arriving after the 31st that have to comply to the new regulations. Some cars are boarder checked in Japan though. Depends on who is transporting the cars. As for the 20 year rule. I think this is a case by case thing now. You have to apply to import the car as a classic. And I hear there is only so many allowed per year. This is to stop the dealers abusing the system and importing a whole bunch of old jap sh*t. Which is what the impact and emmisions laws were introduced to stop.
  16. Wear your 6 point harness correctly *NSFW* It's pretty graphic, you have been warned http://briskoda.net/motorsport-discussion/...me-pics/129912/
  17. The "JDM" drifting look is good. But I prefer a cleaner look like above. Recognise the wheels in the 2nd pic Kerushan?
  18. This thing looked stock. It was like he was trying to copy a good matte paintjob like you see on some cars overseas. But this was just fail. Looked really bad. Half finished project bad.
  19. Was out in manurewa today dropping some stuff at HPC. I drove past the most rugged looking E46 I have ever seen. Was matte black. But not a nice matte. Sort of looked like a primer base. Wondering if someone on here knows the cars story. Is it a project or something?

    HPC Coating

I see. So I guess this would work really well on a stainless manifold. Might look into it if I have to pull off my turbo on the 180sx. Didn't think there would be any difference on the E30 though. Also have some heat wrap for the front part of the exhaust. Prob helps with the drivers floor heating up and melting your shoe. My Jandle started getting sticky the other day!

    HPC Coating

Dropped off some bits to get coated today for the race series car. Did read on their website that there can be performance increases from coatings on the exhaust manifold and exhaust. Not really concerned on the series car as I doubt it would make any difference with such low power. My stuff is more cosmetics. Has anyone had experiance with this?
  22. Yes Lefty Tighty Right Loosey. Haha. I used a little penetrating oil too.
  23. Ok well the ireland rockers are the only ones that are in my price range so I wont be getting any. Just stock ones. What is wrong with the ireland engineering stuff though. I know quite a few people using various items. No complaints so far. And their prices are pretty good conpaired to what you can get here.
  24. Hey guys. Just a quick question. A reground brand new billet cam for $480 inc a good price? From Kelfords. They supply the billet? Sounds good to me. Also have been looking at these rockers from Ireland Engineering. http://store.nexternal.com/shared/StoreFro...et=products.asp But do you think they are really necessary. I am only doing slight head work at this stage. They are pricey at $25 US each. Bumping just over $600NZD for a set. Ouch. But they are 1/4 of the price of solid billet alloy ones.
