What brand angle grinder did you use? Makita?

For gas I go to 1. BP 2. Mobil 3. Shell 4. Caltex 5. All the others For service I go to 1. Shell 2. BP 3. Mobil 4. All the others 5. Caltex (I hate the wankers at my local one) Shell in Pakuranga is the only gas station in the whole Eastern area that still has guys helping you pump your gas! Most of the time they are helping the little old ladies which is great for my Nana who lives close by.

It is Shells version of that Caltex cleaning gas. Just another bullshit marketing thing. The TV Ferrari add is pretty sweet though. Full length one anyway.

I paid good money for a E30 becuase they are so much more fun than an E36. And its funny you say they look like square boxes Grant. I think the E36 is the most box like 3 series around. Dull and boring. Parts are dirt cheap on the E30's You can play with the setups aot more and alot cheaper to setup. Soooo many interchangable parts. Have that sweet retro look So easy to make them look distigishable from other E30's in a tasteful manor. Downfalls: Lots of 318's with cut or no springs bouncing along on the worlds heaviest and ugliest full faced chrome "wheels". This is only out done by the amount of E36's in the same style. As you can tell. I am pretty anti E36 but love the E30's.

I have the sports seats in my E30 and I would really like to keep them. But they are getting wobbly. As its a 2 door they must just be worn out from being put back and forth to let rear passengers in and out. Are they fixable? Who could do it for me? Is it easy enough that I could do it? I was going to pull them out and get them retrimed soon anyway.

SNZ's first mega meet was only around 30 cars. But had craploads of fun. Everyone who went the first year went the second year. Numbers doubled. We are expecting about the same turnout next year as it will be in Chch and using Ruapuna Track. Things we did this year. Bungy Jump Shot Over Jet Quad Bikes (So much better than I thought it would be) Paintball Big cruise to the luge in Rotorua. (Awesome fun!! Soooo much carnage! On the luge that is) Our own little show and shine. (60+ cars) with awards and prizes for the best cars. Sponsored by mothers. Then the big track day. All through the weekend we gave away prizes from our club sponsors. (Front mount Intercooler kits etc) To things like. Most injuries from the Luge. Haha. I am sure you could pull some good numbers.

We just had SNZ's (Silvia Club) 2nd Mega Meet in Taupo. First one was in Wellington. This year it was a 4 day event. Stayed in the Top 10 Holliday park which I must say was perfect for the event. Safe parking. 2x 32" LCD TV's in the cabins. Cheap. We also hired Taupo track number 2 for a combined drift and grip day. We had around 60 members staying all weekend. Then on the final day which was the track day we had another 20 or so come. But the difference between bimmersport and SNZ is that SNZ's members are all around the same age. Bimmersport has a much broader range of people. Could prove hard to organise events.

And the car is no longer there.

Always been against these laws. There is 50X more loud trucks and buses on the roads than there is loud cars. Yet they dont need to do anything about it. I will ignor these rules as I always have. Might sound imature. But I find these rules half assed, they have changed them 3 or 4 times now as they just do not work.

Sweet I think I will just tap it bigger. Its on my race car too. What a pain in the ass though.

Got both the classic BSG and the new version. I am watching the new version first. Currently in the 4th season. Not too bad because I have never seen the classic. The new terminator switches between the future and the past. So they do battle the robots sometimes. Might grab this Dexter program next. Everyone seems to think it is quite good.

I cant run anything other than 98 in my car. F all Mobils have 98. So BP it is.

Hey people. Was pissed off to find the last owner was nice enough to use Hulk Hogan to tighten up the sump bolt on my M20. It is pretty screwed. So my only option is to re-tap and get a bigger sump bolt. Has anyone done this before? If so what size tap did you use and what thread pitch. And then of course I need to find a sump bolt to fit. Know of one that fits?

I dont watch TV. As I hate add's so much they may aswell have killed my family. But double that hate. So I download whole seasons of shows that I like. Heroes Lost Terminator Battlestar Gallactica Red Dwarf Father Ted That 70's Show Prison Break Scrubs Jericho Top Gear Fith Gear I have every episode of every season of the programs I just listed. I also dont like waiting a week to see the next episode of some shows. So if I am bored I watch a few at a time like a movie. Thanks Xtra for your unlimited plan. Shame its just so fricken slow at night.

Never been a big fan of them. Just not keen on the look of a Porsche. I might enjoy driving one (never have) but I just dont like the design. More a Ferrari or Lambo person. My Dads the same. He has driven all the current models through the Porsche driving weekend in Aussie. His favourite for handling being the Caymen and top Carrera.

I dont think he knows what they go for. Otherwise he would not have asked. lol Every newbie E30 owner thinks its a good idea. Until they realise that the motor costs roughly 5X what their car is worth.
-
Notice every second person would have an E30 M3. Popular dream car.
-
Wow you like the 240ZG too Jonathan! For me 1) Koenigsegg CCX 2) DTM E30 M3 3) Mines R34 GTR 4) 240ZG 5) Bruce or Denny Hulmes McLaren M8B CANAM car. Or was that the M7A? Either one will do just fine.

Your tax money helps me get my degree at the moment. And I have no Uni supplied company car.

Her name is Jenna. She has been around a long time if you know what I mean. Married now last I heard. Mate of mine had RU16YT along time ago. That plate has been around too. Various versions of it as well. I liked the plate MORG on that massive bigblock supercharged hurse that does the biggest burnouts I have seen. Suites it well.

Ok I have HID lights in my E30. But the glass is old and all four are different brands. Looking for some more modern looking ones that will be ok with the HID bulbs. Dont want to spend an arm and a leg though. But man HID makes a differance. I can see where I am going at night now. Its got that cool wank factor too.

A friend of mine owns the pitstop on K-Rd. He is a great guy with good prices. Will give you many options. And hates sh*t exhausts and will tell you if it is.
-
Bit off topic. But we have had a few problems with those yards. Our 00 VR4 came back with a cracked windscreen and an empty tank which was full. And my mate thinks he saw a car load of guys in a black E55 Merc (of the sort that could not afford it) getting thrashed up the road. Which he thinks was my Dads one which was being stored around there. Take note of your kms and tyre tread depth.
-
Wow. So keen. First Modern car I have liked in Matte Black.
-
Ah yes I have seen your car around. Its nice. Yeah see my plate DRFT IT is obvious as it usually resides on my 180sx. DRFT T. Not so sure about. Think the guy just liked my plate and got the closest he could. There is also DRFT 1T around I think. I might retire my plate once the 180 is sold as I am over the whole Drift thing these days. Bit old for it now. I like the plates that you spend time trying to figure out. As long as they are funny. F
