I thought that was E30s Nothing wrong with the plastic pigs though. They sound the part too. Too bad a stock E30 325 is nearly as fast as one. I think the VN SS Grp A was the best. 255kmh sedan in 1990 :mosh:

I'm still a fan of both brands, was gunna get a V8 Holden, but thankfully I realised BMWs are better in every way Personally I like the fact that BMW/Mercedes/Audi rivalry (if there is any) hasn't sunken down to the childish, head-up-the-arse attitude displayed by A LOT of Holden and Ford fans. You'll know what I mean if you check out their forums. Just makes you glad you're driving a bimmer and not one of them.
-
f**k yeah, even if it does shake the interior to bits.Actually, i think it manages to do that by itself But seriously, if buying new, best bang for buck is from a Holden or Ford. A loaded 1 series is the same price as an XR8 or SS V8 :mosh: . Wouldn't go near anything older than the current range of both brands tho :puke:

And look at how inconsistent some of them are The are some roads/parts of roads in this country which could have the speed limit increased, so by saying ANYTHING over the limit is speeding is bullshit, without taking the driving conditions into consideration, such as the road, time of day, weather etc. And there are some roads which could (should?) have the limit lowered, therefore, no need to be going over the speed limit to be considered speeding (like said mountain roads, where anything short of a f**king Ferrari will struggle to hit the posted 100kmh limit). IMO
-
hey winner.anything over the stated LIMIT is speeding. if you like to speed regardless of what time it is then you will be caught and i have no sympathy for you. the fact remains that those "1 am where no one is round and i will floor it to 140km cause im a real man and my car is great and has neat tyres on it and the nz roading system is so top notch and my dope ride will be able to handle it, im rad." these times are funnily enough the ones where people end up on the roof and either dead or with bad as f**k injuries and a rooted car, by al means bro go for gold. use a track or just walk, its not worth it. i hope all of you who run at 140km+ at 1am get busted, before you plow into a family. So 140 at 1am is deemed unacceptable. Last time I went to Taupo, it was pissing down all the way to Bulls. Most of the time we were sitting on about 70kmh. I'll be f**ked if doing the speed limit (100) in those conditions is acceptable, while the 1am example isn't. I know which situation I would rather be in. As I said, it all boils down to common sense. It is only the govt that considers everything over the stated limit is speeding. Don't get me wrong, I do agree in most cases, but don't try and tell me doing 110 on the motorway at all times is 'speeding' :gay: (within the context of the ads on TV etc) I would rather say speeding is going too fast for the conditions. You don't have to exceed the speed limit to be speeding IMO (ever been over the Rimutaka Hill Road? Queen Charlotte Sounds?- both 100kmh roads, doubt you'd take any of the corners at that speed though)
-
I think the majority of radar buyers aren't 'speeders' (that word could probably fit a couple of definitions, depends if you believe the governments bullshit or not). If I did a sh*t load of open road kms, I would probably get one. I mean, who the f**ks going to pull out, and pass a 90-100kmh truck at 100kmh on the other side of the road? (like the road code states to do). I'm sure most people will be at WOT while passing, bad luck if a cop is up the road though. What is speeding? Is 140kmh on the motorway at 1 am 'speeding' as opposed to 100kmh in peak traffic on a wet road? I think that there can be appropiate times and places where the 100 limit can be exceeded, it all comes down to common sense really, too bad a sh*t load of kiwi drivers don't have any

Our manual 525 feels slower than my old 320 did. You got M50 or M20 one? Ours is M20. M20. Goes best when in 2nd & 3rd gear tho. Well, good enough to kill those :gay: Toyota Starlet GTs, which I hear have a pretty good power/weight ratio
-
Thats f**king mint, although nearly every 325M I have seen all have higher kays than the usual E30, which is a bugger. Just goes to show that they've been doing what they're made to do- driving Hmm, my E34 goes alright with the 2.5, I can just think what the 300kg lighter E30 would be like :mosh:

If theres a hardtop version, no thanks. I could drive an S2000 or MX5 though. When my old man bought his Holden, the salesman took him for a drive in one of those new SAAB convertibles. I know what I would be thinking if I saw them driving thru town in it with the roof down :gay:

The cops are in anything these days. As far as I know, plain stock Mazda 6s, Nissan Maximas, XR6 turbos and S Commodores are the unsuspecting ones. But yeah, my mates had a V1 and could pick up a cop from about 800m away in one case. Got those arrows too The reason why I said 'had' instead of have was that it was mounted right in the middle of the windscreen in their newish Commodore. Well, pro theives got into it and took off with the V1 before the alarm went off, so just make sure you stick it under the seat or something.

I don't think it was meant to offend anyone. More like a bit of 'for your information' info. Meanwhile, I think we spoke too soon about Fords and recalls http://www.blueovalnews.com/2004/recalls/r....gt.19dec04.htm Still, a f**king mean car.
-
Hah, Ford or GM & recalls go together well When my mum had her old E28 520i, I can remember there was a scare over faulty radiator caps. Not too sure if it was a factory fault though.

2 grand? Should be more than that. I had a mint NZ 85 318 that sounds identical to the one you have described, except it had 150k on the clock. It didn't even have p/s. Before I got the 525, I got offered $3800 cash, but got $3900 on trade in instead :mosh: The dearler then had it on the yard for 6 grand, and it was gone within two weeks.
-
hidden moral to the story ... time to get a job grooming bmws at jerry claytons :thumb: Yeah I'll prob start looking when school starts again.I'll never get sick of cleaning cars, all my mates hate it As for the price, I do my dads Commodore for 20 bucks. Takes bloody ages too

I've got a Sony P72 (whatever that means, I always associated it with the Leyland P72 from Aussie :mosh: ) with 3.2mp. Can pic em up for about 600 now, and it seems to be an alright camera. Only problem is that there seems to be a pause after I shoot the photo, meaning that a good redline pic is quite hard to get, but I havent read all of the owners manual yet.
-
Yeah, I'm sure we'd all rather China be in their position as the main superpower
-
Awesome  Wonder what people think when its driving towards them with the IC up front :mosh: Looks pretty mean.
-
That sucks mate, but those Asian students without a NZ drivers licence shouldn't be allowed on our roads anyway. They are f**king terrible drivers. Theres a guy at my school from Korea whos been here since 4th form, but has gone thru the NZ system, and is now on his full. Thats how they should do it, none of this 1 year to get settled bullshit.
-
No worries there, cos Wellington will hopefully get it. The main reason why I want it to be in Welly tho is not because I live here, but after the (no doubt sucessful) weekend (yeah 3 f**k all days of racing ) I just want to see the looks on the doubters faces that got it canned in Auckland, along with (hopefully) pissed off Auckland people. That will be great. But just as long as NZ gets a round, I'll be happy.
-
Hmm, I'm getting mixed up with all these new bands. The Misfits of Science are the ones with an Indian and a white guy who think they're balck aye? Biggest f**king joke ever~!
-
If I remember correctly, Japan has been caught fishing/hunting/killing around 400 whales in Australian waters. They claim it was for 'research' purposes. Bullshit. :mosh: I still reckon the cops should be pulling people over for minor offences (like people not using their indicators when leaving roundabouts, that f**ks me off) rather than lighting up (a fag that is)
-
f**k that. My dad used to work at Holden and he said the normal Acclaims would come in after 6 months and all the underside would be f**ked, exhaust, steering (ever seen Motorway Patrol?) Just imagine what they would do to an HSV I think the only good thing to owning an ex cop car would be knowing that it has had a good service history. My mums partner is in the force but does work similar to CSI, and he gets to drive round in an unmarked V8 Commodore wagon :mosh: Kinda pointless around town, where it does most of its driving But I snapped this photo when I was in Turkey earlier this year
-
f**k I was pissed off I didn't go to that. I've seen that E30 M3 around town too
-
Well my vote would go to the 5 series, and that would be the reason why I bought one. E60 M5, possibly one of the most significant cars to come out this year? E39 5, every mag I read said it was the class leader when the E60 replaced it, 7 years since its release :mosh: E34 5, have always liked them. It, along with the E39 were classed as the finest cars it the world when they came out, built better than any of the new stuff too. And the first production car to wear the ///M badge was an E12 535

Well, I think I would rather have car clothing than some bloody label, which is 10 times the price of what the bit of clothing is actually worth (come to think of it, car brand clothing does exactly the same thing). Even tho I have both, but I can't stop my mother from buying me clothes
