Thats one of my fears in a front on impact, especially if the ABS is getting a good workout on impact. Ouch. Did anyone see 5th Gear on Sunday before the motorsport? They did an experiment on 70mph motorway pile ups, and after seeing their experiment, I'm just glad that I'm not driving some little shitbox that we see so many of on our roads.

Looks awesome. Theres been so many times I wish I had 4wd. But the benefits of having a (good, not some sh*t Rav4 or similar) 4wd don't outweigh the benfits of a car for everyday use. I think if I didn't buy the E34, a Jeep Cherokee was a good possibility :mosh: Would have no trouble having one as a second car though.

Aren't the old/er Rangies (live axel models) full time 4wd? Or something different to the more 'traditional' 4wders. My mums mate has a RR, similar shape to that one, and suprisingly for a British car from the 80s, only the elctric seats have packed up, although it does have a good service record. But yeah, couldn't go wrong with one of those LCs, check out the latest NZ Autocar, they have a write up of the 'new' one in there :mosh:

There a yellow E36 M3 and black E39 M5 on the Terrace, nearly everyday. I think the M5 has orange (tan?) leather interior, if its the one I'm thinking of. f**king mint.

 Hmmm, I was thinking Wellington was the last region to get it. Bugger for you.

its to do with what the manufactureers call 'crumple zones' or something along those lines. basically the front of the car it designed to 'crumple' when hit with a decent force, and takes that force in, leave the part of the car where you are, and your door being able to open so you can escape. i think most 4* (star) cars come with this now id hate to see what an e30 would've looked like in that crash I've been told that in a front impact, the engine in the E30s are designed to go under the cabin, not thru the firewall. Dunno, I suppose this is the same for all Bimmers since (or before?) and probably all rwd cars these days.

:mosh: Ever heard of Radio Hauraki? Finally made it to Wellington

Bloody hell, what was the designer of design 11 thinking... Shorts and female tennis players do NOT go together.

In the latest NZPC that my mate got, theres a 2 page ad for some place in Auckland called Hyper mag and tyre acessory centre (I think) who do combos. Theres one that caught my eye, V1 radar detector, Goodyear tyres, tints and dynatron alarm installed. Don't have a clue on how much it'll cost though, or if there are any conditions to it.

I've never laughed so hard while watching Top Gear. That was classic when he turned the TC on in the Monaro. sh*t reviews on Top Gear though. Most of the people that watch it probably think thats the only car Aussie has made. As for Hiluxs, my dads mate has one and it's a tough truck. When off roading, we hit a boulder, about the size of a normal tyre at around 30-40 kays. Back wheels lifted off the ground when it hit, but the only damage was a bent rim :mosh: It has only 350,000km on the clock, but thats because the speedo get disconnected half the time, dirty diesels

http://www.car-nection.com/yann/Dbas_txt/V6_killr.htm :mosh: I always had a feeling these old Cadillacs were evil, just by looking at them. Gotta love them for it though. And I think theres a V16 one at Southward car museum, about 60 kays north of Wellington.

Those do look stunning in real life, especially the iL versions  Was talking about this idea to my mum too, when she gets a new car next year, and even tho both aren't suited to women, I think the S430/500 Mercs would win me over, for reasons like world leaders are still using them, and they have a tough look to them, but I'm sure these E38s are a sports car in comparison. What would people think of you getting in and out of it in your stubbies? :mosh:

50 mins d/l for me Always good to see dickheads like that get owned. I think it was the camera man talking out of his arse for most of the time though. Maybe when his clutch goes bust from those launches, its caught on film too :mosh:

After getting the NZCC mag, theres some awesome, and unusual cars in there. New Bently GT, E38 7 :mosh: , even a Ford Ka :gay: One of the great things about Targa imo. Bugger about that black 6 that got totaled yesterday. Hopefully Wellingtons sh*t weather (again) will make some great viewing from around the bays :mosh:

That sucks mate. Nothing worse than having some disrepectful piece of sh*t vandalising your car. That would be the reason why I keep my hockey sticks in the car, even tho its the summer sports season. At least you got em though.

Thanks for the replies, and it was the relay in the fuse box. The one in the front left corner.

Well I'd say those new A6s are like the latest lot of Bimmers- look a lot better in person than on paper. And those front on shots don't do it any favour. But if you want a good looking sedan, check out the latest Autocar, that Maserati Quattroporte is beautiful I think I would prefer it with a lazy V12 or V8 tho. Ohh, check out the interior of the new A6. The dash is very similar to a mid 90s Camry, except the Audi is a bit more upmarket

My left side indicators decided top stop yesterday so at the moment I have to plan which way I need to go to avoid turning left at intersections. (All three outside ones don't work and the arrow doesn't come up on the dash, I have checked the bulbs too) Anyway, I've been told, and I read in the E30 Bentleys manual that it would be the relay but am not sure where it is in the car. Under the hazard switch in the centre console? (next to electric window switches) Or could it be next to the steering column like in the E30's? Any help would be appreciated as I can't really drive it in the city, and will be needing the car in the weekend. Cheers.

Yeah nothing gay about an old-school 600 hp V8 with no driver aids (f**k, what does that make our cars then?). The DTM cars in comparison, well... I reckon it will be a Kmart, SBR and Castrol Perkins top 3, but not too sure on the order. Then again, HRT, Garry Rodgers Motorsport and Ozemail Falcon could pack a suprise. Skaife is desperate.

Blody hell, that sounds like a good buy. A lot for sale are still around the mid 30s.

Manual. Could not live with an auto for a daily driver, did it for 6 months with my dads car, will never do it again. I f**king hate them, unless its a car suited for an auto (SUV, 7 Series etc) However, if I could live with an auto, I would probably have an E34 535i or a Merc W126 560SEL downstairs in the garage right now :mosh:

So true, and the Aussies love it :puke: 9 hours sitting infront of the TV for me, and the catch the last half hour of Top Gear :mosh: Will be even better if Murphy repeats last year, that was awesome.
-
So would that be 400-450 hp from an NA 3.2? or has the displacement increased in the process?f**king impressive anyway :mosh:
