  2. a gromet is a rubbr bung. to remove your fusebox you have to remove the entire loom, do you have the rubber seal that seals between the firewall and the bonnet? it sits on the metal lip that runs around the engine bay just below the w,screen. this helps keep water out of engine bay and keep it out of places like the hole for your wiring loom and bonnet release cable, the best way to find the leak is to get up under there with a light and look around while someone hoses water on the appropriate area.
  3. you would be supprised what i have found behind dashes in my time as a mechaninc. lol
  4. yeah i had a similar kind of situation at my old job for a while, at the garage i was at the workshop was 115% effecient and had about 130% productivity and yet the sales side was loosing money like it was going out of fashion, yet the boss was still being a hitler towards us demanding more, his reputation very quickly deminished among the mechanics which caused a very bad atmosphere and a lack of motivation to work, hence the figures started to drop. so the boss had to sort his sh*t out.
  5. if it didnt go down a vent then there is nothing to worry about, just leave it, unless you enjoy removing dashboards ofcourse
  6. got a d*ck of a boss? work to rule. if they are going to be dicks about things like that then do what you have to and nothing more. thats my 2c.

  9. Hey guys, i have a friend who has done the e36 front end 5 stud swap and he is going to get some arms made up, i have no idea how much but would estimate around 400 to 500 a pair. i have no details yet as he is still finding the best way to do it. i just want to get an idea of how many people would be interested in buying some if he makes up a bunch of them. cheers oli

  11. yeah i have seen that a few times. lol I find it funny when you go into a dealership and look at a bmw and the salesman come out and starts talking to you about how its a genuine mspec and then you say "now what makes this mspec different from the standard model apart from a few m badges?"
  12. Saw a nice m325i e30, tech 1 and in red, very tidy condition. it was parked on willis st and the owner snapped me taking a look, lol.

  17. they are, just those e30s tend to have a bit of a rebel in them, you gotta keep them on a very tight leash you know. or they just get away with all sorts.
  18. yeah otherwise you will burn your valve out because when it gets warm the gap will dissapear and the valve wont fully close. you should be able to push it through with a reasonable amount of friction
