I saw this car the other day... it's f**king SICK! I was thinking to myself, "If only it had a bit of power that car would be ultimate!" Turns out it does! P.s. brilliant job on the conversion.

In my oppinion, it's hideously ugly! Then again, M3 Evo engine on a lighter body is surely.... a monster on the road.

Any advancements here, perhaps we should have a thread with a voting system of some sort for potential candidates?

*gets popcorn and waits for flame*

Yep, as I expected (it would sell for ALOT more than 8k or there was something wrong with it). Nice buy Ray, car is looking great !

Daviss!! Shot on getting a bimmer man, i'm sure it will be plenty of stress free enjoyable motoring. And yeh, boys on these forums are awesome. Always happy to help as long as you are not asking how to install a T spoiler or some sh*t lol. Put it this way, not quite as much flame here as CSNZ .

Yeh, good point. I suspected it's not tooo shabby. At least now I have a platform to get going from !

Righto, phase 1 has been initiated. I took the car in for a benchmark dyno run and ran the following (images attached). Note: the power reading is actually at the wheels NOT the flywheel as suggested in the title as tcf is set to 1.0. I also had the air/fuel ratio measured and it seems that she is running a bit lean (according to the guy), you guys can judge for yourselves from the graphs. He suggested that this may be due to a faulty sensor or something... any ideas? So the plan from now is to try and find the fault that is bunging up the a/f ratio and getting it running spot on, this should hopefully pull it closer to the factory numbers which is around 200kw? Finally, I am still very newbie when it comes to these numbers but to be honest I was expecting a bit more.

Yep, it's all well documented in the manual . I definitely think I need to get this sorted too! Taking her in next week for a thorough checkup.

Man, we got a few lookers in Christchurch. Should organize a proper group photo shoot meet and see if we can snap a few winnaaz !

lol, drag me into this sh*t gannethboy ! I have no idea if my indicators came factory but I do know they are genuine BMW... Anyhow the M3 is for 8k... There is something wrong wit it FULL STOP (or will sell for a much higher price than reserve) ! I spent more than a year looking for my car, I basically wore out the "M" and "3" buttons on my bloody keyboard lol. Never came across an M3 that sold for something even remotely close to that price...

Dman, did the engine blow up or did someone set at it with a blow torch?

Mmm not cheap is it (not that I was expecting it to be). There was a nice yellow Hamann e36 M3 on trademe recenly with this setup, If I knew it cost that much to install the intake.... I would have taken it more seriously! Some really good advice flying around here guys, cheer! As mentioned, I think get a full checkup and dyno is probably the best place to start the endeavor.

Hehe was wondering what you would say, but yeh the eye brows only work with the angel eyes imo.

For those of you who take your cars out to the track, what sort of service schedule do you apply and what things do you check for after the event? I usually service the car etc... every 5-6000k's, since I have taken the car out to the track I am assuming I should service earlier... Want to keep her running "silky smoooooth" .
