  1. do a search there has been a couple done in the past. Its a big job though, not just a case of mounts and a driveshaft.
  2. Like i said on the previous thread.... I wouldnt take the risk with the rust issues cars have in the UK. Have a look at the used car sites in Japan. I own a UK import e30 and there are rust holes in all sorts of awkward places.
  3. You didnt just leave the engine at TDC on number 1 cylinder then set all the valves without turning the camshaft did you?
  4. Im pritty sure John (e30ftw) took his to BMW and they pressed them out for him. He will be able to confirm.
  5. If the "Pump, hold, unscrew, tighten, release" doesnt work then what other way is there?
  6. This has happened to me every time I have tried to bleed the clutch. I made a vacuum setup using a glass jar. Take the vacuum off the Inlet manifold at the back above the rocker cover. Just drill the appropriate sized hole in the lid and make sure its a tight fit. Also have the vacuum pipe up near the top so the fluid doesn't go through the engine. It works perfectly. I got the pipe from Mitre 10. Take the bleed nipple with you to get the right size. Heres a quick paint diagram lol
  7. You turned it down??? That could buy about two E30s lol
  8. Ive met him to through a mates dad that races a Saloon and hes just a normal kiwi guy. Thats awesome that he went to the funeral and had his car sign written. Shame about the circumstances though.
  9. My car has a slight miss under acceleration when it gets warm. It gets worse the longer I travel and when the car cools back down again its fine. I have checked the dizzy cap, rotor and plugs and they are all fine and were replaced less than 6 months ago. I also cleaned out the AFM. Its got me stumped and its really annoying.
  10. Theres no need to get a new clutch kit if it was working fine when it came out of the donor car. It could be done as preventative maintenance but its not essential.
  11. Is the shifter linkage the same length?
