I bought a S.A 318 manual parts car and it was pritty low spec. Manual windows non-power steering, drum brake rear end. It did have 51mm front struts, 325i brakes and a medium case diff though. It was also full of rust, in the middle of the drivers door skin there was a huge hole lol

+1 for base coat and clears. My dad and I have painted a few cars this way and it comes out mint and a light wet sand with 2000 grit and a polish with a buffer afterwards gives a mirror shine. You just have to be carefull around the sharp edges. A variable speed buffer is good for this. -
For rear suspension it cant be adjusted but when changing anything in the front you should. And with the rear spring change you dont need spring compressers you just lower the rear diff mount and add abit of support with a jack under the diff and the springs pritty much fall out
