    Targa e30

I bet the drivers will be framing a high-res copy of that airborne shot! Awesome!
  2. ^Yep, to this guy obviously... cos he's getting rid of his auto 540. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-250296123.htm
  3. Did you tell him you heard him banging his missus? EDIT: Similar story... My bosses name starts with "A" and he also gets many random phone calls. One day a colleague of ours called in sick complaining of a horrible flu and vomiting bug. Later that same day, my boss receives a phone call from the sick employee... she had accidentally dialed him and it went to his voicemail. Later he checked the message and he could hear that she was at a pet store with a friend looking at and cuddling the kittens and discussing with the staff which type of food was best for her dog. Was very funny when he confronted her about pulling a sickie and played her back the message.

    My First BMW e46

Very nice looking Motorsport coupe mate, and welcome to BS! DAMNYC? Why do you dislike New York City so much?
  5. Are those 1 series BMW Performance rotors and calipers? Awesome.
  6. This is an ipod dock correct? IMO, while it may be worth the $40 saving initially, you'll have to spend $15 on a US-NZ power plug adapter and you also won't have the NZ warranty etc... meaning you have to send back to the states for repairs or replacement if it breaks. For the sake of just over 20 bucks you may as well buy it here. As for Logitech gear, it is good stuff. I have a Logitech speaker / sub set for my PC and they have excellent response across the frequency range for something that cost me just over $80.
  7. Advantage of this car over an M5: M5 is a handbuilt engine which costs mega bucks to have rebuilt. Most have done high k's and many are imports. This car: NZ new, low k's.... just as quick as an M5, and easy as piss to find parts / a new engine for if it blows up. Just ask Simon, his car has done over 400 clicks or so... let's see a highly strung S36 or S38 do that without a rebuild.
  8. I've used the Mother's equivalent of the Meguiar's stuff.... it's called Fabric Upholstery cleaner or something similar. My seats were pretty mint, but one day I took them out and left them behind the car while giving the carpets a good vacuum. Started the car to move it and sprayed gross exhaust condensation all over the rear seat bench... the Mother's stuff got it out effortlessly and made the other seats look pretty shabby in the process.
  9. Quick question: What's the difference between the 540iS and the 540iLE?
  10. Just went and had a squizz.... beautiful car. Would only need minor cosmetic work (Wheels could use a refurb - some curbing and clearcoat peelage), a couple of pin head dents on the drivers door and a few small scuffs and scratches here and there. Interior is perfect. Might pop back tomorrow when I don't look like scum in my filthy "working on the car" jeans and t-shirt and see if I can take it for a spin round the block.... might take my Dad too and convince him to buy it!
  11. This is the car I was talking about ages ago in a thread about 540is's that was parked behind Chch BMW (now Jeff Gray). It's an absolutely stunning car. Totally going to check this out today and kick some tyres!

    C String

Imagine how this invention came about.... one day, some chick sat awkwardly on a headband and voila! A new style of underwear is born!
  13. Maplight mirror FTW! Never ever used it... but still... FTW!!!!
  14. Weaves FTW, But if you're running the Borbets for road wheels, could you perhaps run a 50 profile tyre with a bit of stretch and lower the car a bit more (esp in the rear)? Borbets look best when the car is pretty slammed and those tyres make it look a wee bit 4WD'ish.
  15. Do you want to glue up busted clips? Prob better to buy new clips from BMW... Unless they're outrageously expensive of course.
  16. SA cars have the following: - Long range fuel tank in the boot - Higher spec (often leather sports interior, OBC, electric sunroof, electric windows and mirrors) - Always 4 door. - Many have motorsport suspension (Bilstein dampers etc) - Usually automatic with cruise control. - Will often have a Tech I steering wheel. EDIT: - Bigger tool kit than EU cars. Most SA cars will have been imported via Japan. You can check for the build plate under the bonnet that will say the car was built in SA too.

  18. Here's how I did mine on my E30 Go have a scout around the nuts and bolts aisle at Bunnings or the like. They'll have something suitable.

    HB Braeden

HB mate... have a minter of a day.
  21. Yeah, product name, stockist and price pretty please... will make this my next painting job on the E30.
  22. 318 FTW... it'll tow your boat piece of piss.
  23. True true, I don't know everything. AI focus can work wonders. But you'll notice your last shot isn't completely in focus. A large aperture telephoto zoom is the shizz (what was most likely used in the shot Frantic posted). But they're lots of $$$.
