Brooklyn is pretty good, quiet suburb just south of the city. 30min downhill walk into the CBD, or 5 / 10 minute bus. Lyall Bay and Mirimar etc are nice places, But probably a nightmare for the morning / evening commute to and from work.
-
Alright heres some better pictures, It's a real piece of crap to be honest. Anyone remotely interested? Will let it go for the cost of scrapping it, if wanted rolling then abit extra for keeping the subframe / suspension all in. No taillights FYI. Front guards are there but rusted, Also bonnet is abit rusted too.
-
Still has the black headliner, good nic. Sunroof has no rust, look like someone may have siliconed it shut at some stage. Front panels are rusted, not worth any more than scrap same for bonnet. bootlid and the doors are in pretty good condition. some rust under the rear right tail light. Anzac day specials, $300!! or $500 you can have it with the suspension and hubs etc just bring some wheels to roll it on.
-
Yep I figured it is abit high but I am open to offers
-
For sure.. Will have a whole heap of things for sale from it soon, Taking some stuff for my touring and my mates got the manual swap and motor for his touring. Bit of a waste the rest though really would be a good project fix up being a m325i but don't have anywhere to put it nor the time really. The bonnet and front guards all there, was stripped just to have rust repaired and all fixed up since it was abit rough but was left to the side.. I guess stripped it is not really worth much but considering it's still in the system.... Who knows worth a try rather than scrapping it

I will be selling this as a M325i bare shell with all the glass and some minor bits from tomorrow, *not* rolling - Or I can leave the suspension in there if you throw me a better offer and bring your own rims to roll it away. $600 ono for the bare shell not rolling as a starter. The plates are live, registration is on hold. Body is in OK condition, shadowlined diamondschwartz metallic, there is some bad rust in the engine bay and firewall which would need to be addressed as per photos below, will take better pictures tomorrow. Would be good for a racecar or a fix up project for someone to bring it back to it's former glory. I will be removing the Mtech2 kit, though this will possibly likely end up for sale very soon too. Some of the bigger bits not included and won't be included with the shell (so don't ask ) Engine, Gearbox, Manual conversion parts, Diff, Rear subframe and trail arms, Front suspension, Steering wheel, Interior seats / door cards, Cluster etc, Battery cable, Headlights / taillights and basically 95% of interior. Sunroof motor and upper panel. What will be included (Stuff i CBF removing): Dash - wrecked, AC unit etc and piping, Sunroof (no rust from a quick glace need to double check), Front subframe and power steering rack, ABS unit, Most body panels (All if they are all there minus bumpers and Tech2) - need to confirm, doors and glass with motors, interior wiring will remain, Will confirm all tomorrow. I'll take more pictures tomorrow after I have removed everything I wanted and have already sold and you can see what will be left. Engine bay will basically look as below: Also it won't be around for long so someone save it !! VIN# WBAAA120703580492

Saw this up close with Andy and others at the wellington Hardpark, definitely tidy and stands out but the wheels look massive. 20" I think, with the lockable center caps.

Seems to be working fine for me, pages loading instantly. Have you tried rebooting your computer? lol
-
Yeah ha this is what I would do. d*ck as thing to do not changing the ownership and leaving fines into someone elses name. Would be a hell of a way of getting them back though.. I went to do it to a van I sold to someone, got a letter about the rego being a couple months out and I had to pay the owing amount, went to de-reg it but eventually found the guy had swapped plates / tags and binned my plates anyway
-
Keen to have a look at some things, if you could PM me back your number
-
If interior goes without Door cards I could be keen?
-
Dang, That is stupidly cheap.

NZAD. . http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-584028618.htm I bought a timing belt kit of them not long ago for about $240, included TIming belt, tensioner, waterpump + gasket, Front cam seal and front Crank seal.

Good phone. My flatmate bought one. Feels like its put together very well, and it's a good size. My Galaxy note 2 on the other hand.... Broke the screen 1 month after owning it, Then replaced it myself. Less than a month after replacing that one I broke it again... Gorilla Glass is crap. Will never buy another Samsung again

The centers are the exact same, the only difference between diff's is the the ring gear and pinion gear. You would need to swap the 3.64 ratio ring gear onto the LSD before installing it into the 3.64 case (pinion gear will be different).
-
You can buy LSD centers in NZ, a few come up on here and on trademe too for around $500
-
Ha, Well for that price no way it was going to be an LSD. But still that sucks.
-
Were you told it's an LSD? The tag would normally have the S stamped into it with the ratio.
-
Yep, An LSD center is the entire middle housing. You pull the side flanges out, which have shafts going into each side, then the center falls right out. Then as you can see on the left side there are a bunch of bolts that are holding that ring gear to the center.
-
If you mean an open center converted to an LSD then no, You can only make a Limited Slip diff using a LSD housing which is a closed unit (has clutches and stuff inside you can modify to make it tighter). The open center is just a rotating gear housing of cogs really, Can't do anything with it. LSD: Open:

Can't remember was so long ago since I took an e30 diff out. I'd say give yourself an entire afternoon to remove the diff, disassemble then reassemble then install back into the car, so a few hours give or take if you have done it before and know how to get it out quickly. Pulling the diff apart is pretty straight forward, but the hardest part is removing the ring gear from the open center. The bolts are insanely tight.
-
Yes it is as easy as that. The LSD center can fit any diff (so long as it's for a small case or medium case you need the right center for each size). You just pull the diff out, open it up, remove the axles and take the ring gear off the open center, put it onto the LSD center then put it back together. You can DIY it, alot of people have. I did one in my last, changed my open 3.64 bought an LSD center and swapped it in. Though I bet someone here will chime in get it done properly at a diff shop - Which is probably the smart thing to do if your cautious about things
-
You can get the starter motor off pretty much a pain in the rear but get yourself a ring spanner on one end you can slide it right against the firewall to get the bolt behind the bellhousing, then some extensions and maybe a ujoint on the engine side one under the intake manifold and you can get it out eventually. If you have the driveshaft off and exhaust (which you probably should have already) lift the gearbox abit at the back to tilt the engine and gives abit more room.. But not so much you will bend up all the radiator hoses and all that.

Yeah z3 one fits right in and it's a good amount shorter.. I got one not long ago for $90 I think brand new from someone on here.
