  1. Keen to have a look at some things, if you could PM me back your number
  2. If interior goes without Door cards I could be keen?
  3. Dang, That is stupidly cheap.
  4. NZAD. . http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-...n-584028618.htm I bought a timing belt kit of them not long ago for about $240, included TIming belt, tensioner, waterpump + gasket, Front cam seal and front Crank seal.
  5. Good phone. My flatmate bought one. Feels like its put together very well, and it's a good size. My Galaxy note 2 on the other hand.... Broke the screen 1 month after owning it, Then replaced it myself. Less than a month after replacing that one I broke it again... Gorilla Glass is crap. Will never buy another Samsung again
  6. The centers are the exact same, the only difference between diff's is the the ring gear and pinion gear. You would need to swap the 3.64 ratio ring gear onto the LSD before installing it into the 3.64 case (pinion gear will be different).
  7. You can buy LSD centers in NZ, a few come up on here and on trademe too for around $500
  8. Ha, Well for that price no way it was going to be an LSD. But still that sucks.
  9. Were you told it's an LSD? The tag would normally have the S stamped into it with the ratio.
  10. Yep, An LSD center is the entire middle housing. You pull the side flanges out, which have shafts going into each side, then the center falls right out. Then as you can see on the left side there are a bunch of bolts that are holding that ring gear to the center.
  11. If you mean an open center converted to an LSD then no, You can only make a Limited Slip diff using a LSD housing which is a closed unit (has clutches and stuff inside you can modify to make it tighter). The open center is just a rotating gear housing of cogs really, Can't do anything with it. LSD: Open:
  12. Can't remember was so long ago since I took an e30 diff out. I'd say give yourself an entire afternoon to remove the diff, disassemble then reassemble then install back into the car, so a few hours give or take if you have done it before and know how to get it out quickly. Pulling the diff apart is pretty straight forward, but the hardest part is removing the ring gear from the open center. The bolts are insanely tight.
  13. Yes it is as easy as that. The LSD center can fit any diff (so long as it's for a small case or medium case you need the right center for each size). You just pull the diff out, open it up, remove the axles and take the ring gear off the open center, put it onto the LSD center then put it back together. You can DIY it, alot of people have. I did one in my last, changed my open 3.64 bought an LSD center and swapped it in. Though I bet someone here will chime in get it done properly at a diff shop - Which is probably the smart thing to do if your cautious about things
  14. You can get the starter motor off pretty much a pain in the rear but get yourself a ring spanner on one end you can slide it right against the firewall to get the bolt behind the bellhousing, then some extensions and maybe a ujoint on the engine side one under the intake manifold and you can get it out eventually. If you have the driveshaft off and exhaust (which you probably should have already) lift the gearbox abit at the back to tilt the engine and gives abit more room.. But not so much you will bend up all the radiator hoses and all that.
  15. Yeah z3 one fits right in and it's a good amount shorter.. I got one not long ago for $90 I think brand new from someone on here.
  16. I'd get hub centric rings first. So you don't get wobbles.. There is a small metal bit if you rub your hand under the guard where it goes from being rolled to just flat, that bit needs to be rolled out abit or else it nibs the side of the rim only just (mine did anyway).
  17. Wicked. You could get 4cyl super lows (for a 318i, they sit abit lower in a 6cyl). Did you roll your rears or get any rubbing?
  18. Since you say you can't even move the car have you tried jacking the rear and checking your diff isn't seized or something? Other than that it probably is your gearbox screwed / stuck.. Crunching is never good.
  19. What happens if you move into first, start the car and try move forward?
  20. Very nice, Looks like a SA built e30? Leather recaros, M-tech2 - LSD, Long range tank, OBC etc too?
  21. For a manual, yes. From what I remember you'd need custom mounts etc, You can do a m52b28 swap bolt straight in with the right parts. Only custom work is the wiring adapter (easily find a wiring diagram) and the exhaust. Then spend what you have left on the motor like OBD1 swap or suspension, cert etc...
  22. Maybe it has a broken intake rocker arm?
  23. Is it a front mounted dizzy (on the cam) or one under the intake? Are you sure the leads are going to the right plugs?
