That sucks. Gotta have lock nuts these days! Atleast they haven't damaged the car or tried to break in / rip the inside apart trying to steal the whole car.
-
I had this happen once and just had to buy a new key and the guy came out to my car and pulled it out for free, took him like 5 minutes with some miniature pliers and tools.
-
Waste of money IMO. But if you can justify 750 for a glass sunroof then why not...
-
2 very tidy e30's, lucky bastard.
-
Yeah Security Essentials or AVG IMO. I have AVG and I don't even notice it's there. As long as you aren't visiting stupid websites and smart about what links you click on websites, ads, emails etc you should never run into problems..

Factory cover? Must be I guess, just never seen it, and mines NZ new so makes sense if it has been retro fitted if it didn't have A/C from factory... But why a second blower motor though?.. And yeah the cover looks like it fits perfect, but it has had the center console cut to make room for the blower behind it as below.. I was wanting to remove this cover to utilize the bit under it like a normal e30 but it's gonna be too much effort. And no it's solid plastic not thin and flexy

Anyone seen this thing before, I wanted to swap out my center console because to a normal non butchered one because mine had a weird cover on it as below, It's been DIY'd in there because it's been cut from behind to fit the motor then this covers over it really. But it has this almost stock looking giant second blower fan connected to what looks to be the bottom of the air box. Though when the blower is turned on (the main one) this one doesn't turn on, so I have no clue what it's connected too. Anyone seen one before?? as a BMW number on it too.

Looks like Need for Speed.

Probably is the rear outlet, But now that I remember, back when I did an m50b25 swap into my e30 I had a similar issue of water leaking veeery slowly but it was coming out. The engine was from a e36 325i, M50B25 (non vanos if it matters). I got it inspected at Jeff Grey locally in hastings and it was determined that it was a problem from manufacture and there was a re-call for it back in the day? Seemed weird, Kerry who sold me the m50 hadn't heard of it either, but ended up having to do the headgasket on it as it was seeping from the back under #6. I had hoped it was that back outlet too, But sadly not lol. Worth getting it checked out though.. Pic's if interested. First pic is looking upwards at exhaust manifold / side of block, you can see a little trickle of coolant.

Not sure about pitch but I've done the swap before on a 3.64 open case medium diff in an e30, just pulled the center out, bolted the big ring gear onto the LSD center and put it straight back in with some new LSD diff oil. Never had any issues with it.

Ahh yup exactly it. I took that screenshot of one of the writeups for the swap lol. Cheers greg let me know.
