http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=336892682 bump! Really need it gone moving soon!!
-
Still on the hunt if anyone knows of one going cheap.
-
Yes thats the one, But check the middle hanger bearing too. It's most likely to be f*cked aswell if the driveshaft was wobbling about so you will still have the wobbles and it ain't good for the driveshaft and u-joints.
-
Yeah that is because you have an open diff. If you had an LSD and it was single spinning then that would a concern.. Missing bolts that is not good, Is the driveshaft even bolted to the gearbox now? Looks like the driveshaft is bolted to the coupling but the gearbox isn't joined haha
-
Did you take the bolts out ?? Or are they missing ??
-
Nope not normal, Did you check the center hanger bearing? Try wiggle the driveshaft up/down side/side it shouldn't have any play. If the rubber's torn then you'll need to change that too. *edit* Yup that coupling is gone.. You can see it's ripped destroyed.
-
What happens when you try start? IIRC a battery in good condition should be 12.7V. It's at only half charge or they count it as discharged if it drops bellow 11.8V. I'd check the engine ground too, From sump to chassis. That can cause grief since it's what the starter grounds through.
-
Fuuu, Thought you had it jacked up on gravel and in gear driving, Was thinking what a tool aha. Look for play in the middle hanger bearing and probably the rubber coupling between gearbox and driveshaft has shagged itself aswell. That or the bolts are loose / gone

CBF don't have the time or place and I'm moving next month so need it out of the way.

I have heaps of spare central locking modules, it worked fine initially then one day decided to crap out. Never really tried to sort it out. It's legal minus the stretched tyres, but I have been pulled up and not had any trouble with having stretched tyres. Rear can be raised yes. I run it without the rear adjusters, putting them in would raise about 15mm. No AC, did have it but pulled it out yonks ago.

Yup used to be my daily driver. Takes a while getting used to the clutch, driving smooth etc. it's pretty quick too has balls. Not sure if I could meet half way though sorry.

Slide them on line them up and press it in.
