$300 would barely cover a home DIY bog job, $20 for a tin of bog $20 assortment of sandpaper $20 can of primer $10 grinding discs $20 "fish oil" / anti rust crap $210 left for a respray the roof.

MTech2 sides on the doors, can't tell if the sideskirts are tech2 though? Looks OK, the interior is decent. I'd take it for a decent test drive.

Have you tightened the top retainer screw that holds the shock int the housing? What sort of adjustable shocks are they?

front shock for 1987 318i sedan
e30ftw replied to nakichick's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
The shock slides inside the strut housing, which holds the shock and spring together. Jack the front up, turn the wheel out and you will see a spring at the top sitting on the strut, the shock is hiding inside this housing (as shown above). As Jon said, being a 318i its probably 45mm. -

e30ftw replied to e30ftw's topic in General Discussion
Originally 325USD shipping to an airport, ontop of 120USD insured shipping I already paid, 435USD total to ship... Thats $525 converted to NZ$$$$$, PLUS tax / handling etc once landed..... WOW.. Would probably double what I paid for the damn wheels if I went that way. Maybe I should just..........??? vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv JK... This Kiwishipping thing is awesome. -

Yeah I've been hit by GST through customs a few times, once or twice I've had stuff slip under.. But wheels won't Haha nothing great this time around, I haven't had a car since I sold my e30m50 last year. Only recently acquired myself another e30, no big plans for it this time around -

m50 swap is pretty straight forward.. My suggestion would be do your research theres TONNES of information on m50 swaps on the internet and on here too..
-
You would need to lengthen it and space the end that joins under the subframe too. I started once upon a time, then broke the sump before I finished it so had a custom raised sump made for it instead.

Lol I just noticed where your cert plate is

So its just a m20b27 eta? Or it's a b27 block with 885 head?

Does anyone know if Keith has changed e-mail or something now? Just trying to e-mail some details of what I'm after to price up and it bounces back. His SUSPENSION inbox is full too..

You can get hub centric rings that will slot into the wheel bore and fit the wheel onto the hub. That way it fits snug and centres the wheel.

That Pink/Black 2 tone one came from Hastings, I know the guy who painted it he painted my old m50 e30. He's really good at panel work, though colour choice is sh*t. Heres another e36 he did lool.. Lambo doors loool.

On the adapter loom check pin 12 on the m50 loom side connected to pin 4 on e30 side. My guess is it probably wasn't connected. though i wonder what pin 11 is, engine temp vs coolant temp?

I had a full size sim from an HTC I had, took it to Vodafone store and they swapped it over to a micro sim for free... And it works straight away. Why buy a cutter when it's a free swap (for Vodafone anyway).
-
Yeah I don't think they fit straight on.. Could be wrong. Long time since I've had an m50 lol But I remember kerry did something similar with M3 throttlebodys on an m52 (which has the same intake bolt pattern) http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....=30332&st=0 Had to make an adapter plate though if you flick through..

Yeah i'd like to see some interior and engine pics? Can you show the headliner sag too. Ahh do want..

Check the bolts on the guibo are tight, mine used to come abit loose and cause all kinds of shakes so I'd have to get under and re-tighten. Throw some spring washers in there too if it becomes a problem..
