Guts boe. MANUAL CONVERRRSION.

I dunno if the 318i has a different model number one, But m20 bellhousing does NOT fit the same as the 318i.
-
^ What he said. Grind around, Lay down some No. 8 wire. Then Bog that sh*t. On a more serious note, I hope you know someone with a welder dude. That is just nasty I'm glad my Jap imported POS e30 had nothing like this when I pulled up my carpet

The one on the sump is the main ground. Bad ground or not connected will cause the same issue. Even having the greasy side attached can cause issues. Clean it and even sand it abit so its fleshing some metal then attach it to the chassis.

Looking good Nath, You will get there. Just takes abit of effort put in the right places.

BUMP. Price drop.

Pics. Nao. -
Yeah, the loom has 3 wires on a facelift. Fit on their own sized studs. That power lead goes to the one with the 13mm nut on the starter straight to the battery, shares the same stud as a wire coming from the loom (so theres 2 wires on that stud), 1 on the 10mm one and 1 on the 8mm one on top.

Still prefer to do mine properly. Waste of time if you end up failing WOF for it. And no doubt your light output would be decreased.

should make a few extra sets lol

Yeah paint stripper works wonders. The stuff at supercheap is good, Just scrub it over with a tooth brush, wait abit and it all scrapes off. Going to look Sick, -
Yeah that's his alright. I think the asking price is quite fair? Interior looks clean. Engine bay.......hmmmmm.

If anyone manages to make some decent crosshairs for the highbeams I'd be keen. Only reason I didn't do my highbeams is because I don't have anything to make crosshairs with. Would prefer metal ones or something. Some guy used to sell sets on e30tech, laser cut using the Hella cutout templates so perfect fit.

I have different values for the bosch engine temp sensor? 187ohms at 100C. 1707ohms at 30C.
-
Measure resistance.
-
^ LOL There is 2 sensors for temp, Brown one is for the gauge cluster and the blue one is for the ECU. It's supposed to be measured by resistance at certain temps, not power.
-
Looks good to me, But yeah that paint does look a tad darker maybe?
-
Replace? Put in a Known working one?
-
Good point. The Blue sensor is the engine temp sensor btw. Faulty one could be telling the ECU the engine is cold and it's still dumping in extra fuel... Another one is no thermostat, That gives you horrible mileage as the engine has no time to warmup.

Lol. Actually I didn't literally bin the b20. Haven't binned anything tbh. Binned my turbo 2.7 "Project" yes, that's a different story. Have a problem PM. Otherwise stick OT buddy.

I remember talking to a guy, he didn't know he had a fuel leak but noticed it one day when his car was running under the car, it was dripping slowly but evaporating as it hit the ground. So you pretty much would never notice. Maybe run the car and have a look around the rear fuel lines, lift the rear seat check under the inspection cover for the fuel pump, follow the lines under the passenger side of the car to where they go rubber again into the engine bay.

Indeed they are. -
Memory fail. Seriously, My m20b20 used to be the same as this.. It was slow and sluggish, blew smoke up high in the rev's, spat unburnt fuel when idling. The fix, threw that motor.

Kerry has a 3.64 in his e30, with the Getrag 220 (1:1 final drive) and said it's turning 3300rpm in 5th at 100km/h.
