    Trademe 735i

NB no alpinas would be sacrificed for an old seven!! It just put the idea in my head that old sevens look cool with nice wheels, and often a front kit as well! The pinna stays, in all its "salt road damaged" glory!

this 735i is on trademe- looks really cool with those wheels..... love it so much more than my car, what do you guys think of E23's? any advice?
  5. ooooooo i want....! what sort of "normal" work?
  6. the E30 316 is a 1.8L M10 carby, and its less powerful than injection.... Ask will, he knows carbys
  7. I would say that you could get not above 3500, definitely not below 2000. (YOU COULD GET not "it is worth")
  8. Bravo, not sure what sort of league you are talking, but we use ABN Amro- Craigs, and it keeps us happy
  9. Having owned neither car, ill say the golf. They are reliable, and have nice neutral- looks. The 306 really is a bit gay looking. My grandmother has had 5 new peugeots in a row, and has had problems with them all- including (even within a few months new) -Remote locking on 505gti always locked itself -309 had some form of engine troubles i cant remember -306 had cooling problems i think -406 had elec problems with gauges etc -307 has had major gearbox problems, and general lack of power in engine, not even pug in france can identify the prob, and after 'fixing' it, its bad again now. She is planning on looking at a new Golf. Mums partner has a Golf GTi turbo manual- it has really good fuel econ, and the only problem he has ever had was the drivers window motor clapped out in some way. (hes looking at trading now too) VW golfs just have the better rep/ image im sure.
  10. M5 definitely... who wants an auto, non sport seated alpina anyway.

    e30 stuff has to go!

Engine looks like mine.... is it by any chance a Motronic 1.0? or is it the 1.1 which i know was definitely in at least the later year FL cars... Im very keen on a Motronic 1.0 ECU
  12. I'll agree in the 4- 5k bracket, only because a newer NZ new 318 manual recently sold for 4.5k, i had a look at it, and wasnt really prepared in the end to pay much more than 4 for it.... 5.5 max? In saying that, it could probably be sold for 6k to the right buyer.
  13. my tips come out at an angle too! bit larger diameter, and no rear kit though.
  14. HB fool Slave trade FTW
  15. Air intake takes about 5 min to remove, and throttle takes about 1- 2 min! undo the screws on the TPS and set it to its minimum on closed throttle so that when it begins to open, you hear a click.

  17. Well he seems to be wanting no less that $700? The bargaining process requires the prospective buyer to first make an offer!

    m3 query.

Where i used to work we would just be sent the new (usually E46 M3- they crapped out all the time) block/ head etc and put all the working parts of the old one onto it, and send the broken engine back to Germany. I suspect these were all under warranty however.

    m3 query.

I would be quite sure that it'd have a good history, i get the feeling that the place selling it are people who take trades from main BMW dealers. (in saying that, BMW dealers flog off cars that they dont want this way) nath~
