  1. Hi, I need a 17' space saver wheel. Thanks
  2. Yes, I believe so. Theses units where originally an upgrade from the basic tape unit when it was bought new. Thanks
  3. removed from my X5 when I retrofitted to the BMW Navigation. Trademe link $400 start = reserve
  4. You need a Bluetooth device with A2DP profile to play Bluetooth audio. I have just installed a Bluetooth phone kit with the above profile. This enables me: Hands free phone, intergrated through the standard BMW radio. Bluetooth music, via the aux-in function of the radio. Connected to my iPhone 4S, it gives full voice control, and remote control functions... Skip track etc. Works really well. I can get into the car with phone in pocket, connects to phone and at the push of a button plays music from phone... Let me know if you want more info on the system...
  5. You can bin that gps box too. The car must "go to sleep". No activity at all, opening the door/boot etc will keep it awake.. Best to close it up and lock it... Take the whole black plastic box that the Nav drive sits in off also, it will give you better boot space!
  6. If you unplug it and turn the car on straight away the monitor will be blank. Disconnect it, throw it in the bin..... Wait unit the car goes to sleep, about 20 mins depending on car. When the system starts again it will see the car has no Nav and use the graphics in the tv tuner module.
  7. I get new genuine bmw parts from Germany off the internet. normally about 1/3 the price of BMW NZ delivered in about a week or so... eg. X5 front pads from BMW NZ $307 from below, 74euro (about $116nzd) https://eshop.original-teile.de/ it pays to think about what else you may need and get it all together and save on shipping cost.. (which can get up there on heavier items) these guys are very reliable, and I've had no problem with them.. and they use Paypal which is safe..

  14. I too had one of those TCU's and had the same issue. "please wait" msg. I thought it may be a compatibility issue between the bluetooth phone.. but seeing other people with the same issue i did some digging but never found anything conclusive.. What i suspect thou is: (as Yo-Clarkie pointed out) certain TCU's and including yours (option SA638 & SA633) have a bluetooth handset and eject box combination. In this setup there is also a sim card slot in the eject box. I suspect the TCU won't respond /operate normally without this eject box connected. unfortunately i don't have that particular TCU anymore plus i didn't have the eject box for it either. It would be nice if someone had one of those eject boxes to check ... Jochen may have thoughts on this....?? Dean

  16. I have a V32 disc modded already for speed cams. (if thats what you are after) and a modified 2010 map disc with the camera locations.. but if you wanting to do something else keep googling there are HEAPS of places to get nav software images from.. Dean
  17. Hi Glenn, I suspect you have a 'SA629' phone..?? http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?mode...hg=84&fg=10 it is possible to get your ULF working but it isnt a simple plug and play.. you will need to modify the loom to suit.. have you got a bluetooth antenna for your ULF? ( and coax cable?) D
  18. try a cushion on your seat, so you can see over the bonnet. heaps cheaper.
  19. I think you'll find the grey coax in the pic is for the JBIT phone system. - not the tv antenna. something suspicious with the returning to japan setting... as mentioned, its strange that it returns to japan, Are you definitely selecting another area? - or just scrolling to it?? - (push the knob in when you get to it). - I hope i'm not stating the obvious... good luck
  20. I had a look at this car.. looks better in the pics, its not exactly a minter.. a few signs that its had a hard life.. I recommend a full inspection before buying..
  21. Hi, this is off a facelift e46, it connects via a number of places, not just one - from the front end of the car to the rear of course... mainly the main distribution box, light switch, rear lights.. hope this helps, just ask if you need more info/details
