  1. I would say there are more E30 M3's in NZ than Tech-II M325is
  2. I remember that, gave me the shits so we had mums looked over by a professional and all was well, hers has been old lady driven since new though. Was your car NZ new?

Cheers Hotwire but I can’t find a company called nationwide wholesalers ANYWHERE. Any tips?
  5. If you want a laugh call the sales guy, he seems to be 21 with a attitude for success, I actually felt he was doing me a favour just talking to me with no actual knowledge of the vehicle, give him a call and ask him silly questions he loves it.
  6. It has an SMG shifter, Paddles and is listed as SMG, its build list sais its SMG and it was sold new as a special order car with SMG.. Your friend is clearly correct with his disagreement and is clearly an expert, buy him a beer. Only thing im not happy with is the imitation wheels, this car was for sale for two or so days a few months back in Auckland and it was in quite rough condition, it had 5 spoke 19†option wheels then too.
  7. This looks interesting. SMG. All it needs is a LSD http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=301945747

You rate it higher than a Porsche Boxster? I think you have been isolated from good handling cars for too long. Nice wagon though, I like them in white personally.
  10. Maybe I should start modifying my cars suspension as clearly Renaultsport have done a shocking job. Thanks.
  11. Not sure what set up means. It’s a factory FWD hatchback, 235/40/18 all round, maybe the Nero’s aren’t suited for the car as they do come factory with Dunlop Sport Max tyres on which it handles a lot better both on the road and on the track, on the track it was actually embarrassing. I do realise the Nero is Pirelli’s budget brand P-Zero though. The RE11 looks like a much more focused tyre and if it was available I would snap them up but as they are not R888’s look like the go.
  12. Im not sure mate, im going R888 for two reasons, Renault use them factory and in 235/40/18 they are cheaper. The guy at the Dunlop shop told me that the Dunlop’s have greater grip at the expense of faster wear and greater stress on my road car and even recomended the Toyo's.
  13. Im guessing Nero's then huh 3-Pedals? Horrid tyres. Have decided on Toyo Proxies R888, ultimate grip road legal tyre.
  14. I agree with that. Miss mine already, actually thinking about buying another and this one is in Papakura so it would be rude not to have a look.
  15. Cheers, I didn’t as I didn’t want to wreck the factory carpet, I just relocated it to behind the seats and used a bungee cable to hold it in place when I wanted to drive a tad more enthusiastically. The Kicker L7 is a grunty 10" with enough power up its ars, the box was a good size and has a massive port feeding out the front.
  16. No. Only Touring seats work in a Touring. They are not the same as regular E30 leathers as they don’t have those horrid lines and pin pints, they are a much more modern attractive seat, the rears are the same style as the Convertible I believe. Nice seats!
  17. My old man had one of these Cortina’s new, was sh*t back then apparently but the colour of yours suggests it may be like a good cheese and has improved with age. Well done anyway, it has a certain charm that makes up for its short comings
  18. Those wheels are so nice, I would put them on my car and never drive it. Honestly, go with Arrow if you have the time, I only went the mobile guys as I don’t have a spare set of wheels for my car and couldn’t not have the car off the road for a few days.
  19. What Pirelli’s did you buy?? I have the P-Zero Nero’s and they are complete rubbish, to the point im removing them. I was fooled by the flash name. Looking at the Bridgestone re11 or Star Spec Z1.
  20. Repainted factory Gloss Black. Hand sanded back to alloy and re coated, im thinking had he clear coated them they may be doing ok but as they were not they look like ars.
  21. Im no expert so I dont know. We have a NZ new 99 CI and they haven’t failed after ten years, nothing has, its a nice car for its age.
  22. "amazing" is maybe not an ideal word for it, flexible maybe, amazing no. My 3-Door hatchback can hold more.
  23. Don’t overlook a well maintained 328i either, my old lady has one and it’s a fantastic car, has never missed a beat and is a beautiful drive.
