Agree with you there, subtle CSL front lips and the proper 18†wheels, nice buffalo interior.. Manual transmition and it would be perfect.

The weighted dual shock III is not bad, throttle and brake control via R2 and L2 have improved, would like to see a six-axis integration with the toggle’s, would be nice. Still, a new wheel would be nice, at $500+ for a decent one they are not cheap. I need a new TV for the living room to take advantage of the new graphics. Wonder if you can go carting with amongst real sized cars, would be fun on a tight track

Woolf has a good name, have heard many people raving about them, they also supply and fit Remus from memory. M530i, have you thought about just replacing your rear muffler with something less muffling? If its anything like my old E39 it will have two back boxes, replace them with one and it will make some good noises. Would be worth having a talk to a pro befor cutting things out
-
He removed the back box and replaced it with two straight through pipes, this sounds great on my car as the biggest noise reducer is the centre muffler, was a bit more complicated than what you need doing, I just posted it to show that he does a nice job. On yours he will simply cut out your centre resonator and replace it with a straight pipe. So one hours labour and a pice of pipe. Easy. There are equally good places around town, im sure someone can sagest some.

Cant wait for this. Keen for a transponder James.

Second hand pricing at the moment sux to be honest, I think that’s why new car prices are on the up and up, with an influx of new car sales the second hand market should settle down a bit. A year or so ago we picked up a 05 E60 545i for less than they are selling for today, we sold it for about the same they are still going for also, should have held onto it for longer. My current car was purchased a year ago and I have been offered $4k more than I paid for it back then. Must remember the 335i was huge deal when it came out and had a award winning engine and was the flagship model with the best options, they are still very much sought after. Bolt an LSD in one and chip it and fit it with some Eibach springs you have yourself a great performance car. -

To be fair last year in April second hand car pricing was at a real low. Agree that it’s too expensive though, wonder what it was traded for -
Milky pants not poo poo pants Im guessing, he looks like he is dancing out there, to think this is an endurance race and he would be driving like that for hours on end, I would think it would be second nature to him.

Yea no brainer. Has a 24 month warranty and the 3.0lTT is a awesome engine, best straight six BMW has done thus far in terms of drivability, power and efficiency.. -
Welcome. Your car sure is nice. What do club CODETM do? You guys should come to the Bimmersport Trackday in a couple of weeks, those Honda's go well on track and your BMW would be a bit of fun.

Try Keith at Suspension Progress He will be able to get you some TUV certified H&R spacers, theses are top quality, as said you will need to certify them witch mightn’t be worth it to you.

That is true, 20-30k will buy you a pre facelift M5 with higher kilometres, still better than that thing above IMO.

I have half a lolly jar full of salted peanuts and a lot of stationary. Will keep on looking for 4k.
-
Tempted to buy those wheels and store them. Such a cool wheel. Price if they are not gone?
-
Why yes I have, thanks so much for noticing That recover does look great and that write up is very helpful, I used a Ados product and it only lasted a few months, its dropping already Will get some of that 3M Hi-Strength 90 spray adhesive and re-do it. Anthracite roof lining on my 1986 1.3 Corolla XL owns my face, makes it feel so sporty.

OEM wheels/parts are well worth holding onto if you don’t need a quick buck.

Looks like a real handful.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inY4gPlV8YI...feature=related

This is true

Good call, its gunna to be hectic up here.

It’s Automatic. It has an open diff. It has narrow 17" wheels. It is a crapanese import. Soft suspension. Its ten years old. Superchargers attached to a engine designed to be N/A are a ticking time bomb IMHO. It’s not an M5. You can buy a M5 for $29,000.

Bad luck, and why did the engine implode? A lot of cars will run into 5 figures if you blow the engine and there are no second hand parts/engines available, it’s not reserved for performance Audi’s. I have seen a rare model Audi snap a cam belt and cost the guy over 12k to repair, he had chipped it and done a few other mods and neglected the recommended cam belt change time of 80,000km, have seen low KM BMW M cars fail due to poor maintenance/owners. As said diligence is the key, those S4’s are a tough car and when maintained correctly are no less reliable than a regular Audi A4 or BMW three series.

Talking of GM and BMW, I hadn’t noticed until today when I was saw a BMW add in today’s Herald but the BMW concept car BMW are posting everywhere claiming to be ground breaking is quite similar looking a concept to the GM Ultralite cars used in the Demolition man movie way back in 1992… Either movie makers are onto-it or BMW are behind the times http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_Ultralite
