Annoying thing people do on Trade Me
Apex replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
Yea that annoys me, as if fixing the engine you blew up makes your car brand new! What annoys me, or makes me laugh is the people who say “im the first NZ owner†as if they brought it new, or the dealers selling them as NEW in the owners section and even promoting that you could be the lucky first owner of this fresh import as if that’s a selling point? Im shopping for a new car for the missus at the moment, growing increasingly frustrated having to sift through Japanese imports, there is so much of the crap on the market to sift through, I wish there was a NZ new option tab. -
This is what I ave to deal with everyday in central london

Yea, I thought that when the Citroen popped up, you cant actually buy those.. -
Idiot things previous owners have done to your car.

Washed it only once a month with what looks like a stealo pad, its swirled to fork. -
I have 10 in the Renault, you can have some, I dont need them all. Good luck with the sale, would love to buy it back

Biggest LOL since double rainbow guy.

I like the feel of NFS Shift with it set on Professional with no driving aids bar ABS. It’s the most realistic driving game to date IMHO but as said lacks content to keep you hooked like GT4 had, The gran Turismo games just hook you for so long, I didn’t put the controller down until I had 100% completion on GT4, and then stated all over again, my missus would fake power cuts by turning off the mains just to get me out of the hose

Steering wheel shake upon braking
Apex replied to dreadful1's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Graham is doing it WRONG looks like I may have been bent over and machined as the last disk I had machined cost me the grand old sum of $70+GST where as the last EBC E30 disk I purchased was only $90+GST. Who does your machining, that sharp! My point was, WRONG, but two new disks is not going to break the bank. It’s like buying second hand tyres for two third the price of new ones even though they have one third the tread. Never mind. -
Steering wheel shake upon braking

To be honest new disks for the E36 are not that expensive and considering the cost of machining them you might as well just get new ones. That’s just my thoughts anyway. To make you feel better I managed to f**k a near new disk at the last trackday I attended when a crappy Mintex pad broke up and went missing. At $580 per disk I was not a happy chappy -
Yea im still thrashing NFS shift, IMHO the best driving game ever released on the Sony platform, unfortunately it lacks the hundreds of cars like Forza, it beats it out in all other areas…. All are but a nicotine patch to a smoker really. My fear of GT5 is that I will have to go into hibernation like I did when GT4 came out only all these years later im not going to have the time to do so. I can see quite a few GT5 all nighters in November.

This. Only I thought I would have finished it long ago. I hope it has all the F1 cars in it. Looks to have a decent amount of race cars

That’s not bad then, was going to say, 10k is more than what NZ's top rally teams spend! Sparco is top shelf stuff and they look like nice seats, would be keen to have a look at yours if you make it to Hampton. Seeing the regulations required to fit them I will have some time, looking at Sabelt seat and Harness combo’s. The NZ distributor of Sabelt, Autoquip, has a new owner and he is giving the brand a real shake up in NZ and im now looking at those, met the guys at Speedshow, they are also the NZ distributor of Brembo Race brakes and components and the fantastic Racing Dynamics wheels, pricing is all bloody fair too. I was amazed at what they can and will be offering. Edit. Forgot, Autoquip are also doing KW suspension. Cheers for the Demon Tweaks link, they do a direct bolt in seat rail for my car!
-
Cheers. I need too replace them with seats of an FIA standard which is fine, I then need to replace my seatbelts with harnesses and then I need a Motorsport Authority Card, to get one of those I need a Log Book.. have just got Clubsport licenses so that’s three forms and three payments before the car has even been looked at by a professional. Motorsport NZ doesn’t make it easy to compete in even basic motorsport events with basic modifications, I suppose this is all fair enough as it keeps some of the idiots out. Upside. No low volume certification needed.

Does anyone know the legality of removing factory fitted seats that contain airbags and replacing them with race seats? On that note, can anyone recommend who I should talk to regarding this and who could possibly certify this type of thing locally, South Auckland. Thanks

You are all downloading it for free and yet feel ripped off. Lol, imagine how Prime TV feel, they pay big bucks for it and get it a month later. On an F1 note, brilliant driving from the “Best Driver in the World†on the weekend
-
Wow, that would be near ten grand for two seats, beautiful seats though! Looking at Kiwi made Racetech seats as the best option for me, at 2k a pair it’s a little closer to my budget.

And some angel eyes.. I like what your doing here Simon, its creating mystery, im defiantly coming to Taupo now as I want to see said mods.

TBH its good that it constantly gets reposted as like you say it’s a hell of a wakeup call for some people, im thinking this is why You-Tube leave it up On the flip side it could be a bad thing though, I swear after seeing enough of these type of video’s on the internet I fail to raise an eye borough anymore, l think it’s called desensitization but the more and more graphic gore we see the higher out thresholds go and some of us testosterone junkies act stuff out in real life to find that shock point.
-
You sig looks great James! Also these are a race rate spring, the normal standard H&R’s are a fair bit softer.
-
The gangsters on Shortland Street have a E46 coupe. Not the most practical kidnapping car in my opinion.
-
So its a normal E30 then? Well done
-
Made me think he should have replaced the rear sub frame bushes. Oh and reposted for the 13th time
-
Well done. It’s very Blue. I approve. Just needs black wheels.
