I spotted this yesterday and thought nothing of it… logged onto a few overseas forums this morning and they were all talking about it! He is one funny guy. Those Honda’s are hard core, those guys spend some serious coin don’t they! Also He says he is going to be on close up! Good on him

I agree they are a fantastic car, one that actually put Suzuki back on the map and gave competitors a good rev up in the style and dynamic departments. A good low KMS limited model with the bells and whistles that glen mentioned would be a good chick’s car. Here is a Auto Sport, it’s an Import but with Suzuki there is no real difference, most Suzuki dealers sell second had swift imports due to supply and demand. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-221209944.htm Still expensive if you start comparing what else your money could buy.

you’re a knob. Was rather foggy last night too, lucky I had my retrofit HID’s on, I got the Ultra Purple P234912K’s and they lit the fog up like this Pink Floyd concert I went to once, the homeless people outside countdown were well impressed and asked me for some change assuming I was driving a late model expensive car. Had my rear fogs on too just in case some mistook my car for a trolley return bay

Im not sure he is an active member sorry mate. Looks a bit average, might just be the photos. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- High millage yes, but it is a 1990 car? 20 years is a long time to be saving the kilometres for the eighth owner. Given things have been maintained properly IMO it makes no difference, they are built like brick sh*t houses. A low millage (-100,000km) M325i would be worth nearer 15 in the right order.

Some cars have driving lights, lots of Japanese and Australian cars have them, they are a different beam.

I only got 8 from 16

Fair enough, they are far from exciting… are we secretly looking for something you like? It’s a hard compromise. We did a lot of research back in 06 before we brought the Astra and the 307 had a four star. Check EURONCAP. IMO the Suzuki’s are overpriced. They are getting on a bit and have a pathetic spec, especially the under 20k models.

I would be looking at a Simota Carbon intake for the M3, they are just as good or if not better than the American stuff as they are a direct copy. A few have them on here and they are top quality, from memory they are around $400. Broom fish Motorsport bring them in but im sure a couple of our forum sponsors could sort you out. Glenn from Botany Motor Worx has one on his 328TI and it sounds horn! EDIT. My spelling is so bad!

Had to check if you were from South Auckland after that comment. Someone in a 200SX just pulled off a mean J turn followed by 200m snaky up my road. Looked like dangerous fun. Does the sunroof make that much a difference, that’s interesting. Good luck with the new expensive bits bud.

Good to see the M1 up there! Was worried judging by the general vote for the E30 M3 around here. Good fun.
-
Did you sign it? They sent my last one back stating they can’t accept un sighed correspondence. Probably obvious now that I come to think about it, im sure we were told to do that in School.
-
Yes, it is quite funny. I was only really bitching about rear fogs… everything else doesn’t bother me too much, anyone coming towards me with retro HID’s of fogs get a dose high beam. I’d feel a prick high beaming someone with their rear fogs on as im sure most people don’t realise they have them on. Was as the title suggests a request to take note that its actually really annoying.

And all this time I thought people fitted HID’s so that they could gain admiration from teenagers and people that are attracted to shiny objects, or an attempt to make it look as if they can afford a much better car than they actually own. I was so wrong. It was for added vision the whole time! I have no problem with the headlights on my E30 nor do I have a problem with the stock E46 lights, the stock lights on the last E46 I had were actually bloody good. And im blind as a bat.
-
What a legend! My hero. Bet you have retro fit HID's also No chance anyone is going to hit you, they will be in a ditch.

Mini’s are sh*t on so many levels, the Swift ticks bugger all of your requested boxes and are overpriced the Beatle is a Mk4 Golf in drag and are as cool as pop music from 2001, the Audi again is nothing more than an old over priced MK4 Golf and the Peugeots have bad auto’s. I would be looking at as newer shape Focus as you can find, preferably the Mk2 Focus. Also take a Mk5 Astra for a drive, they are a great car and a lot safer than most having a current 5 star safety rating, none of the cars on your list have that rating. We had a SRI-T new and it was a fantastic cat. You could most likely pick up a 06 in your budget.

Mine are aimed thanks to Glenn at BMW! Faild a WOF on them.

They have dropped the XR5 Mondeo in NZ now. Should have given it the full blown Volvo 2.5! The ST220 is much better. Sorry Braden, I meant 3.0.
-
Says a lot for the lesser models eh, can see why both were best in there respected categories. I have driven the ST220 and wouldn’t say it was a XR6-T rival in a straight line, dynamically yes but the XR6-T has over 200nm more torque, that’s about an extra 325i on top of the Mondeo. I seem to remember Jeremy Clarkson recommending the brilliant ST220 over a BMW three series, the reasoning was that there were less Mondeo’s sold that year than E46’s.
-
Could be. We had the riot squad outside our place on Saturday night… three of the Boy Racers were driving BMW’s too. I threatened them with my Poodle but they still wouldn’t leave. Look out E36/34/39 owner, these seem to be the preferred gangster ride and if parts are expensive guess where they will find them. Will keep an eye out Ray.

When I saw you had posted I was getting my “F__K OFF BRIAN†Louisville slugger out from under my desk….But alas, a compliment…I think. Thanks Brian!
-
De-tuned race cars I think not. The ST170 was a warm version of the regular Focus and the ST Mondeo is a slightly worked version of the regular 2.5 Mondeo. Both drive fantastic though, if the ST170 had a turbo engine It would be a fantastic car.

Happy Birthday Brook, I did you some Photoshop as a present. have a good one!!
-
They did bring out a conventional Manual version in LHD didn’t they? The new SMG in these is all gravy anyways. That’s a seriously sharp priced car, being Jap allow for an extra 10k in conversions to Euro spec, even then it would be a bargain. Maintenance costs would scare the fork out of anyone on a sup 100k PA income though, can see so many of these M5’s turning into a pile of rubbish for that reason.

It’s safe. It has been proven that you are 70% more visible with them on during the day, in a lot of European country’s its mandatory just like it is here for motorcyclists. My missus worked for a French company and all there company vehicles are hard wired to have the head lights on as soon as the engine starts. After studying up on it I now drive with my head lights on all the time, I figure if it it’s going to stop someone from raping my pride and joy with their Toyota Enema im all for it. E39's have a f**king after burner of a rear Fog! Was following a big brown dude in a 39 through Narawahia the other day and he had his on.. as well as a high vis vest! Captain safety! I passed him and he gave me that “yea boy I got a new BMW†look that a lot of fourth hand BMW drivers do
