  1. Might I say it sounds sweeter! All I could hear threw the tunnel was the infectious wine of a supercharger and the feral straight six exhaust note, I would like the exact spec of your exhaust system as IMO it is perfect. Pics look good.
  2. Correct me if I wrong, but I was told cutting was better, apparently when a spring is compressed it loses its integrity and becomes sloppy but when a spring is cut it actually increases the spring rate. Either way has its pro’s and cons though. When there are an abundance of cheap aftermarket springs available cutting and compressing seems quite pointless. Linden, have you bothered calling Kith as suggested? He could do you a pair of Votgtland springs.

You and your dad are my new hero’s! RaceFX are going to have to stiffen the shell like 1000% Bloody legendary. I would just flair it and lip it, would look naff with a Tech-II and Tech-I should be reserved for real M325i's.

    Nz Justice system

He is an Islander that beats women, id say the 80% Maori occupancy in jail will sort him out, harden him up a bit for the next unfortunate women that he hooks up with in four years. Bimmersport’s female islander community look out!
  5. Bimmersport container load! I had been looking for a Tech-II front bumper for two years before finding one. Hard to find indeed. New would be around 5k so Ray's at 2k isnt to bad.
  6. X2. Chris is the man, he is honest and will give you the best options for your budget. I wish I had of talked to him before spending a cent on my suspension, could have saved me a few bob. X2, and stay away from KYB! If you want to save on the Billstein’s look at BOGE Turbo's, they are what are fitted to M-Tech E30's and are a very good shock for half the cost of Billstein’s. SAS in Manukau wholesale them. Nolithane replacement Control arm, sway bar link and mount bushes transformed my old hack. Last of all, save and do the whole job at once, makes things easier and you save having to do multiple wheel alignments.
  7. Shh, quickly delete that and we will pretend we didn’t see it Nice car, shame about the SMG. Wonder if the SMG unit could be removed and the gearbox converted back to how it should be.

    New work car!

Good mate of mine sells tough decks and covers for utes, I asked him what was the best vehicle in this segment as they have all of them as company vehicles for R&D, he said the Mazda/Ford by a country mile! The Hilux doesn’t even have lap sash seat belts for centre rear passengers and drives like crap in comparison to the Nissan and Fozda. For some reason I would still take the Hilux in dark grey with the 18" wheel option, they look awsome and have realy good resale.

    Man, I hate Photoshop

Thanks for the tip, looks sh*t hot man! Do it. I just got Photoshop and am learning a few things slowly, lowering with PS is nice and smooth, have been using paint to do the same for years. Sorry to highjack but does anyone have recommendations for PS tutorial tips? I have been learning off YouTube and it has been helpful but most of the tips require a basic understanding of the system.
  13. Account for new bushes and a decent wheel alignment, new bushes would be the first thing I would look at after shocks.
  14. Jai-Ho!! Welcome to Bimmersport. Shirl is one lucky wee lass.
  15. Where can it be done for $600? Im defiantly interested in an optimised map at that cost?
  16. Thank you Frantic. Verry helpfull. Will investigate. So say I have a small case, I will need to find a medium case diff, that would be found in a 323i or a 325i then wouldn’t it, if that medium case diff was open I would need to upgrade it. Cheers Guys, learnt a lot.
  17. I have just had the front of a E46 repainted by a mate of mine, he did a fantastic job painting the bumper, bonnet and blending the guards, he mostly paints classics and hot rods but as work is slow at the moment he is taking on regular jobs. There is a bit of work involved if you want a good job, he striped all paint off mine, this needs to be done if you don’t plan on redoing the job in twelve months. Let us know if you bite the bullet and decide you want it done to a new standard and I’ll give you his details. The bill come to $1,300 cash. He used to manage a top paint shop in Auckland and would have charged out over 3k for this job. Bumper only would cost you $400.
  18. No. Should I? Is Dave the diff Guru? How the f**k would I know? Sorry. I am unaware as to what the current ratio is. Where would I find out?
  19. Thanks Andrew. Believe it or not a Re-Map with a before and after run will cost me the same. The Map-Ecu is quite cheap as it’s a NZ company. Plus Bosch is just round the corner. I like the idea that the MAPECU can be re tuned for other mods quickly and cheaply and can also be transferred to another vehicle when I sell the car.

Nice wee car! Go the Red Pig in that first thumbnail That thing was epic.
  21. LSD for my old girl, Its winter and im having issues accelerating in the wet, my diff is open and is starting to make some protesting noises when driven hardish. I know some of you are onto-it when it comes to ideal ratio’s so maybe you could give me some advice as to what I should be searching for. I would like something with a similar ratio to the stock 320i open diff, it seems to work well with the 2.5’s l lack of grunt. I am aware these are getting hard to obtain and am aware they are not cheap, im just wanting to know what options have worked for people and the ways you have gone about it. Thanks
  22. Only advantage I can see is that it would lower impact on joints.. Also being a completely useless heavy lard ass runner I bet I could get that thing going bloody fast with my torque. I’ll stick to jogging and beating senior citizens walking their small dogs. I also have a friend who is a top national runner, you may have met her at the Olympics, she’s well quick over 5000m.
  23. Good stuff. I for one eagerly await the results, I have been looking at fitting a MAP-ECU since dyno day and have a few mates that have since had them fitted and tuned yielding quite good results. One of the best running cars I have owned was a MAP sensor vehicle was by far the most responsive too! Why not build a cold air intake box and run a straight piece of pipe with a pod on the end into it.
  24. Clear. Smoked looks rangi.
  25. Love it.. God dam it son of bitch. He must be divorced.
