Ok, here are my excuses and reasons why I smoke ad don’t give a sh*t. I have been smoking two packs a week for twelve years and don’t care how much it costs, I save money in other places buy being smarter and just working harder, from my observations the money a non smoker saves is often spent on other small luxuries anyhow. 90% of my friends smoke, not sure if it’s a class or age thing, I live in Papakura and am 26. I can still run a half marathon in below average time and consider myself to be well above average fitness for someone my age and have a very clean bill of health. Call me ignorant but I don’t read too much into light to moderate smoking killing people, I have my reasons and im not going to go into it. I will however quite the day I have kids as im a considerate smoker and wouldn’t want to subject them to the smell as when I was younger it repulsed me. I don’t smoke in my cars or in anyone house even if they do. Ranty rant rant..

Haha, wasn’t having a go like! I was just interested in your opinion, I read other people state its boring also, most of which drove older 5 series as well. The wood and leather companied with sharp lines create a sense of occasion to me.

In what way?? And compared to what?? Its just I think the interior on the E60 is its best feature! It very functional and well thought out, they have taken the clutter of millions of buttons on the E39 and packaged it all into a easy to use computer system leaving a basic understated interior. The seats are amazing as is the wood work, I especially love the door handles that for some reason were dropped on the E60 facelift. Maybe im weird but I love the seven series interior even more, it’s like being in a very expensive Swedish apartment.

Don’t insult the MX5, they are much much better than the sub 3.0 Z3’s!! Not to say id own one, but they are awesome fun. I’d have an M-Roadster or Coupe, they are the most bonkers cars BMW have ever produced.

If it were one model that to me just looks plain wrong it is the series II (E46?) Compact pictured above. IMO anything that isn’t that great to drive so any BMW that is fitted with an underpowered engine and insufficient brakes and suspension.. I believe the mid 90’s built on a shoe string Jap import BMW’s are predominately responsible for BMW’s bad reliability image in NZ so they are in my opinion are the worst of the worst. I didn’t vote for any of the cars listed above as all are great in there own ways and as said if specked properly are stunning.

I must say my aftermarket Pioneer system in the E30 shits all over the HI-FI 10 speaker junk in the E60… It has Bluetooth, full IPod control and far superior sound quality… I haven’t heard the Logic 7 upgraded system in the E60 though. Armorall for me, I think it looks great. Avoided Meguiars interior detailer like the plague, it turns everything white and has actually made parts of my trim perish and peal like sunburn. I would go for a product from Meguiars called silicon free dressing, its only available in bulk and only if you have an account. I can hook you up if you need 10 Ltrs.

I saw this yesterday, must be hard to sell a nice car like that after owning it since new, I feel he may have to let it go for slightly less unless it is immaculate. Im sure they were around 150K new and no were near 170!!, I remember going for a test drive in one. I think that is where the new one has lost the plot, it’s just way overpriced. The E36 was in a good price spot, significantly cheaper than a 911 but just as capable.

IMHO it’s hard to upgrade from BBS, some deep dish wheels will look whack in a couple of years where BBS are timeless
