Not necessarily, I ask questions before purchasing cars.. I for one was shocked to hear about the weak clutches and high maintenance/preventative costs on the M5, car mags will tell you how great they are but will have no idea what they are actually like to live with where owners (owner) on here will. The M5 does have over 500bhp without the aid of a charger so the engine is highly tuned so one would expect quite high service costs. Try calling Glenn at Botany Motor Works (forum sponsor) he knows a thing or two about the M5/6 and could probably give you a few pointers. Why find out the hard ($$$$$$) way.

I was under the impression that the Hamann wheels have their name on them, like the ones on Dave’s wagon. Also Hamann wheels are normally staggered fitment, as in 8.5 up front 9.5 rears. Dave's Hamann's

Just posted up a few cars for a laugh, Id drive the Ghost Busters Hillman!

Second hand info but if you are purchasing out of warranty take it easy on the launch control, apparently the clutches are quite pricy to replace, as are the tires. I would recommend NZ new with full service/maintenance/update documentation, NZ new will also ensure the navigation and a few other Oceania specific options will work.

Is it a real mission changing the factory stereo in an E90?
Apex replied to normsmith's topic in Audio & In Car Entertainment
I have found REAL OEM part numbers don’t correspond 100% so just make sure they get it right. -

Do you run a stacker?? You can input your iPod via the stacker port. I sore it on a US forum somewhere.. Try calling BMW they sell the parts. You brought a premium car so upgrading/modifying things normally cost a bit. I know with my Old Astra Blaupunkt head decks communicated with the cars OBC and retained all steering wheel and display functions. PS: Im sure BMW have an I-Pod integration kit, price one up as I want one for mine. -

Was just wondering if they would allow for extra lighting to keep the Touring competitive.. Maybe not. Go on a Diet Ray

Ah good sh*t Simon, much better.. I know how frustrating it can be when people go off in a tangent in a “show off†thread! This sounds like a fantastic project Ray, I wonder if they will allow you to do a small amount of stiffening to compensate for the touring slightly flexi body. Also as said being allowed to shave some weight would be good. Will look awesome anyway. Im happy to help with a few bits of race apparel if needed.

There was a chap on here doing a custom E34 with a wide body and a few interesting things a couple of weeks back, can’t find the page but he might be able to help.. Personally I like the look of the E34 without.

Mag&Turbo Manukau can get them. I won’t tell you the price but let’s just say you’d be rolling round on wheels that would cost more than your car Check out the petrol wheels range of wheels, I found some nice wheels there that fit BMW’s perfectly.

It looks nothing like the car pictured above, that car looks like the new Quattroporte from Maserati. A four door version of the Gran Turismo.
