It’s just not aerodynamic enough, power to weight id compare it to the greater aerodynamic 281kW Lotus Carlton’s top speed of 280kph. You can have as much power as you want but when you get to speeds above 250KPH the wall you are busting threw becomes a lot harder. Take one for a test drive and call into APS in Papakura and have them remove the speed limiter then head to Ardmore air field.. Im sure we could find out.

I use Meguiars gold class because I get it for cheap and it smells great but any Carnauba wax is all good. When you have the car nice and shiny with no imperfections simply apply the wax by hand (as in get handfuls of it and rub it in) then wait an hour for it to set and then buff it off. It is really easy to do. The Hard part will be polishing, getting red back to red requires a bit of elbow grease.
-
Sounds good. I would clean it first, as in Paint cleaner or a clay bar, then polish it with some decent polish then start applying wax, one coat every wash will soon build up a good defence. These cars don’t run a clear coat as far as I know so make sure you keep waxing it to protect her. Very nice car BTW, I bet its very fun to drive, being a light 4-Cylender I bet the turn in on these things would only be second to the M3!!

Thanks guys, I was adamant that I wasn’t going to hack up my door cards but I might just have to. Where they are in the factory space is less than adequate as they are too large and restrict the door light switch from operating correctly. I won’t admit defeat on these speakers just yet as they cost me an arm and a leg an im sure they can perform better if enclosed properly. So two options then, move them to the door card above the storage bins or mould them into the storage bins and enclose them. If this isn’t enough I will have to move to larger midrange woofers.

That really sucks mate, I have an old car with Black plates and really think the suit the vehicle and also make it stand out as NZ new. You would need to find an engineer with the plate stamps and re press one, wouldn’t be cheap but could be done.

Yep, the Dunlop Sport Max were running at over $500 each for 18’s when I got a set and to be honest were overrated for the vehicle I stuck them on, the Direzza’s would suit the M3’s power and weight nicely. Continental are good but on last sett I had the fronts wore out and failed a WOF after 9,000km! GS-D3 were rated best tire two years running when independently tested by wheels magazine.
-
They are limited because of the tire safety “speed†ratings, I doubt you would see 300KPH in one though, there is a big difference between 250KPH and 300KPH! Are we talking the New Falcon?
-
The Dunlop Direzza DZ101 are also very good.
-
I have had all three, and would defiantly go with the Dunlop’s. The Goodyear’s are very good in the wet but are let down by their nosiness compared to the other two. Much of a muchness though really.

I have a grill on order, if im loading the boot up I just remove the box. It moves around because I am a tad enthusiastic when I come into tight corners. I am considering upgrading the front woofers as they just don’t make sufficient mid range, if I do I will take what you have said into consideration as the rear 4†speakers don’t really need amplifying and are currently over powered. Thanks. If anyone wants a good deal on non parallel imported quality Kicker car audio with a proper warranty or needs any advice on alarms (he does Cyclops) and installation don’t hesitate to call Jamie, he is mobile and is a top guy! 0211707425.

Maybe into your intake manifold hence the service of it..Its gotta go somewhere! Seems a bit steep to me but im tight as a nun's

Lol, go the tri-spokes!! I can still remember the first set in NZ, they were one a Red 300ZX and cost $7k at the time!!
-
Crapanese import no doubt, there are workshops in Japan that convert normal BMW’s into Alpina styled reps and badge them with funny designations.
-
I don’t think we have the same “class†perception here at all. We are a "mongrel" nation with a low to middle class majority and what the English call the upper-class only exist in very small numbers. Generally cars get keyed by middle class teens that are bored or because the driver has pissed someone off! I have never seen a car keyed in my life and that’s coming from someone that lives in lower class aeries.
-
That’s a bargain, The upper part of the two piece front kit is worth nearly $700 alone new. If anyone need’s one I would snap this up quick smart as they are like rocking horse sh*t.
-
That red car looks like it’s got two Tongans in the boot! looks a bit wonky. Shame that 320i is got so rough, the kit once straightened up would be worth a bit I would think.

I have had no problems nor have I ever felt scared at any stage in any part of South Auckland. There are good and bad sides of every town.

What functions would they be?? I was only aware of Radio Station name display and song title/Artist display. Are there other services that the RDS could pick up?
-
These are the dealer "NZ/Aus" specific options programmed by BMW on my NZ new car. 825 RADIO CONTROL OCEANIA 861 CHANGE OF CODING DATA SET 864 OVERSEAS/DEALER DIRECTORY As well as a few more options linked to the SAT-NAV. May be of no help.. Just think of all the savings you made over a NZ new one, im sure a few hundred to change it would be no biggie.

Good stuff Wayne, will this be a continued product? What else are you working on
-
That is weird. I wonder if he has the plate M5 or 550i sp now.
-
What’s different about them Glenn?? Good sh*t BTW, those M things that were on were hideous, throw them on Trade-Me and I bet someone will buy them, they would look great with Altezza style lights and those awesome chrome aftermarket door handles.

Options list edited thanks to the info provided by kiwi535, very interesting what is an option and what isn’t.

40 Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expects the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.
