    First dibs on suspension goodies!
  3. Depending on where you are. If you’re out south I can recommend Kevin a JR tires in Papakura. He has my cars running straight as a dye and my tyres last forever without compromising handling.

    That testing station scene OMG
  5. That was on 65ltr's of 95
  6. Eh?? What you on about Lewis? My driving is impeccable Wheel choice is up to you, what some find cool others find crude. Im with the BBS crew.
  7. Now this is classic, a young chap on this forum believes that the VW Passat W8 is the best car in the world and you could never tell him anything else. He has been in tones of these interesting arguments defending the greatness of the W8 all over the NZ car forums. http://www.eurosport.org.nz/index.php?topic=6511.0 Thought It might be good for a laugh.

I always thought TEZTCL would suite an Altezza.. I had TTEETT on mine.
  9. 3 and make sure you get a wheel alignment, those rims are all over the place Dave!
  10. So it’s done 16,000km a year on average since new? What’s wrong with that? We do 20km a year in our cars and I would have thought that was normal. I would take a well maintained NZ car with normal Km's over a Japanese abused import with fewer km's any day. Just think how long the imports engine has been running in bumper to bumper traffic or how many nights it has spent outside due to pore parking conditions. Looks like a nice car, same wheels and kit as my old E39
  11. Wow that’s hard out! There are some serious nutters out there for sure, we run a side business (clothing) on trade-me and have had to deal with some real wankers. Normally impatience and returns are the problem due to lazy people not reading the details first. If they want something straight away and in their size they should head to the shop and pay twice as much. They go ape and give me bad feedback but once called they are nice and friendly.. I think it’s the non personal element that turns people crazy.
  12. Cool, will let him know as his is only 156KW ATW with extractors, intake, no accessories, running a standalone and 98. Your gains are quite phenomenal. From Wiki. The engine was slightly revised in 1995 with lighter conrods and pistons and an increased compression ratio to 10.4:1 resulting in peak power of 195 kW (261 hp) 195kw to 250kw!

    BMW M7

It’s called technology. When I got the 545i (BMW N62) I reset the trip computer and over two tanks our average is bellow 10ltr/100km. they have put a lot of effort into the new BMW’s to keep them efficient, on cruise control mine will coast at every opportunity it can and sits at under 2000rpm at nearly 110kph. It seems to do something strange when idling and tooting around also, fells like it disengages something. BMW claimed 10.7 averages and I don’t doubt that for one second, just compare that to a Holden/Ford V8 car weighing the same with the same performance. I do really like that V8 badge, I might just order one and put an M badge next to it!
  15. Easy, come to the Bimmersport dyno day and re run it! These dyno thread posts are really pointless as a dyno is just a tuning tool and as said there is so much variation between dynos that it makes it hard to compare. I have personally seen a difference of 20kw between some Auckland’s optimistic dynos (we all know the ones) and some of the more accurate ones. Seriously though people do come along to our club day! Its only $60. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry176962 PS: What the hell have you done to your Toyota V8 Riley?? they only put out 180kw at the fly standard!! You are saying yours is 250kw at the Fly!! A mate of mine has one and I would love to pass on some advise.
  16. 10.7ltr/100km average aint bad mate, and we got over 600kms out of this weekend’s tank!
  17. If you do go after market just make some spacers out of MDF, it is relatively easy to do and will cost you a pittance. The sound quality will be dramatically improved and it’s a great DIY project. http://ozvr4.com/forums/showthread.php?p=30196

    2002 E46 M3

I made a reasonable offer ($55,000) on a NZ-M3 and the guy said no thanks its worth more than that…we will see how long it’s listed for. Another guy said to me don’t bother even coming to look (dealer) as he wasn’t going to move on price and wouldn’t accept a trade… Same thing happened to me when trying to purchase a vehicle a couple of years ago, I offered him my 01 Altezza as a trade for 18k plus 10k cash. The dealer said no. I sold the Altezza for 22k privately a month or so later and the dealer was still selling the car I made an offer on a year and a half later. It ended up selling for $17,000 For the record I like that colour.
  21. That is turners though and the company that owned it can probably afford the depreciation as it’s a good tax write off.

    2002 E46 M3

That’s a real bargain. I think they may have mispriced it. The one I looked a a couple of weeks ago was the same year and colour. $65,000!

    My car...

Nice, your getting there. As said please for the love of BMW’s remove the fail lights! Will look good when she is all painted.
  24. These cars are amazing value if you get a good one. I would say NZ new is a must and a full service history to ensure that it has been services regularly and all the updates and recalls have been carried out. Also, go for the facelift if you can. If it makes anyone feel better my old man got one new in 96, $118,995 it cost him. Sold it for less than 40 a few years later.
  25. Good stuff Dan, hey make sure bring it to the next Bimmersport event! Im sure there are quite a few of us that would like to google it!
