  1. Your E30 sounds like a turbo V8 with a sequential gar box? I want a ride in your car
  2. Welcome, I'm sure you will get some helpful advice. Post a picture of your car if you get a chance.
  3. That sounds brutal! Big balls to drive one of these monsters.
  4. I am torn between the F40 and the Mc Laren F1, Mc Laren is a next level car, a ground up built to be a fast and drivable road car with an awesome BMW V12, it will leave a F40 in its dust and is still fast even today.. the F40 was more an engineering exercise in the Group-B era of rally and Turbo and will be beaten by a modern 458 or similar. Would be a tough decision and one that stumps me... luckily I will never have the problem of having to actually chose.. I remember EVO actually rated the F50 higher than the F40 in one review. Also see best motoring's track battle with F40 and F50, the F50 sounds awesome and is not so slow, the F50 is a great car. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8NNC5nu_9A
  5. That's a good update! You must be happy. Hope you used your spotlight card. Haven't done anything to my BMW today.... have spent enough money on my non BMW in the last month though, could have brought a decent used BMW
  6. Too many kilometers Thats like 10,000km a year from new. How about you state how much you are willing to pay for your perfect car? I hope this is not another "I want this spec but only want to pay this much for it" thread. The car you are looking for is a top dollar car, between 40-50k.
  7. Thought he was a bit too excited on this one, was like a child with a Playstation 4 at Christmas. Awesome to see them being thrashed out though, F40 was my dream car as kid.
  8. Dont worry, most just own normal E39's and like to romanticize that they are remotely close to a M5 in the way they drive Lol, they were falling apart when they were new. Would only recommend one as a weekend car, would not plan on putting huge millage on one, service costs will kill you, they are a 4-door Ferrari.. Also, you only want the face-lift model with the proper automatic. I don't think the E60 is a bad looking car, I just think the M5 version is a bit bulbous, its the only M-Car that looks worse than the normal M-Sport IMHO. The E39 M5 is now a contemporary classic, classy and driven by people in the know
  9. Personally I would have a E39 M5 over a E60 M5 regardless of cost and have speculated before that the E39 M5 will eventually be worth more than the E60. Could be wrong but I cant see the E60 as desirable, its ugly, thirsty and mammoth complex and expensive to maintain.
  10. Really? You do realize a mint low KM's M5 will sell for mid to high 30's where a high km example will sell for anything between 20 and 30k. I would actually think you would be better off with a well maintained high km model, it will depreciate less in the long run as they have already hit near rock bottom. A car with 100,000km M car is still going to cost you a fortune in upkeep if you are doing high millage every year.
  11. Went on a cruse out west on the weekend and come through a stop at KKK , all three cars with the illegal euro plates got them confiscated and the drivers were fined $100 and 25 demerit points. Auckland traffic cops are c**ts.
  12. Cant do anything in little NZ without it making the news. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/sideswipe/news/a...jectid=10908569 Happened on a rad out west that a lot of enthusiasts drive down, its got a few tricky places. Would make for a good Targa car.

    Is this a E36?

Hence why speeds of up-to "140" kph. Took a big run out down the Bombay hills to reach that. Takes a special kind of special to use a under powered bright purple convertible as a get away car and then crash it at low speeds and f**k the motorway for a hour or so.
  14. You could always just buy a AMG or BMW M car.
  15. Could be, hard to tell, he was wearing designer sun glasses. All I can say is that fat guys look hilarious in Audi R8's, especially when they are driving with the over the top straight arm whilst trying to to pull a cool face with some tacky expensive sunglasses. The only R8 a fat guy should drive should have a Clubsport badge in front of it.
  16. Black E39 M5 Northbound Khyber Pass this morning. Black F10 M5 on K-Raod, dent in the boot. Audi R8 in Penrose, Silver, fat guy.
  17. Thanks for sharing, my body hearts just watching it, it's amazing what some humans can do!
  18. Beautiful. Nice work Andy, very jealous.
  19. Did we know the guy who crashed it? I only knew the first owner and he sold it a while ago and brought a M3.
  20. You would probably be surprised at how well it absorbed the hit, a 90's BMW would have been destroyed and the passenger would not have got out. Looks like it went off the road and hit something solid. Seeing its a face-lift M-sport all parts would have to be brought new and I would think it would be an expensive repair, say 20-25k.
  21. Here is something else to consider when choosing, and something I didn't realize until recently, the OEM screens are actually thicker and manufactured to a much higher standard, this may not seem like much but your windscreen is a major structural rigidity point and if replaced with a lesser quality screen it can actually reduce chassis stiffness. thats all id like to say about that
  22. Not a huge fan of piano black myself, have noticed a lot of manufacturers are using it now and it really only works with a few cars. The face lift version of my car has it on the door pulls and center concol and IMHO it looks out of place and very "after thought. I really like that 3M Brushed steal look, I wonder if you can buy it in smaller quantities anywhere, I only want to do my door pulls.

    Car Fails...

Looks like another Japanese import special edition.
  24. A friend owned this car new, was very well specked, could make for a nice rebuild project or parts car. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-632078692.htm
  25. You do mean the high beam and not the dipped beam right? If its aesthetics I do have to ask who will actually see high beam other than possums and moths?
