Any genuine full Alpina car wouldn't have the BMW naming conventions but rather Alpina's own Bn naming convention such as the B5, B7 etc.

Firstly, proof read your posts Secondly, if you have a catalytic converter get that replaced with a resonator such as a coby and that will fulfil all your demands. As for manufacturing your on exhaust, i'll assume that all your uncle can do is get some piping and weld things together. That's all fine and dandy but a straight through pipe will be too loud and you'll fail the new exhaust testing that's about to come into effect. You could possibly get away with one decent muffler or two resonators of different lengths but not straight through piping. If your uncle wants to partake then he can weld it all up for you but it's really not that expensive to go into a muffler shop and get them to do the work. I had a cat cut out and replaced with two coby's (the 6 cyl's have twin piping so one on each pipe). All up it was $220. Cheers

If you've got the BMW ETK then you can enter the VIN into it and it'll give the date of manufacture. You can't trust the "year car first registered" as cars can sit for a while before they're sold, particularly the SA cars.

I agree with Grant, save your money if you can, but if you must lower it then i'd suggest picking up a set of motorsport springs off trademe rather than going out and buying some. That way you can simply swap the springs and not have to worry too much about the shocks. I say worry about the shocks because they're more important than the springs. If you cut your springs your banned.

$90 delivered it costed, not that bad, i've still got to get them painted to match but if you don't need to paint them if you don't want to as they're alright as is. Attachment wise i've screwed mine onto the top of the grill but suppose you could glue it if you're so inclined. Realistically it's the postage that increases the cost, a group buy would yield the best returns but I don't need em so I can't be arsed.

AgreedIf you want eyelids then you're going to have to go find them and pay for them, you can't have something for nothing. It took me 2 mins on ebay to find mine using a search and I had them within a fortnight on the car and pimping. Those are not the eyelids that I have, those are fugly bonnet clip ons, mine are the grill clip ons, suggest you look on ebay uk.
