You never know! It might actually have a s14b25 mated to some obscure iX drivetrain
-
Offers will be considered. I still think it's a lot of car for the money! Pics still pending Auckland weather.
-
They look like early honda prelude front seats, and a retrimmed rear? Pimpin.

If you're saying what I think you're saying...I don't think you know what cops have to put up with. Sure, there may be a bad egg or two, but it's by no means a flash job, and it doesn't get any better if the public have your attitude. Sorry for the off topic, but I can't keep quiet on that one.

So does that WOF sheet take precedence over Manufacturer's recommendations? Seems a bit silly to disregard manufacturer specs. The sheet doesn't seem to take into account the sidewall ratio either - and that affects the widths that tyres of the same width. E.g. 215/50R17's max at 7.5" for both T1R's and RE001's 215/40R17's max at 8.5" for both T1R's and RE001's

Quick question Glenn: I have 215/40R17 Bridgestone Potenza RE001's. I'm planning on running these on a 17x8.5. I don't like stretch or poke, so I have checked that these tyres are in fact rated to 8.5" width by Bridgestone themselves. Will this be a problem? Is a tyre/width WOF list available to the public?

Holy Moley that red 02 is very very pretty! I used to see TISPEC trundling down onewa rd every other morning. Looked so cool.

Their excuse on the news is that if they're lenient, then stolen cars etc could be easily hidden with cheap plates etc. All the thieves need to do is find another model in the same colour and get some fake plates. Same with robberies, etc where vehicle identification may be crucial. So in a roundabout way - fake plates is a threat to society.
-
I'm sure the Auckland Highway patrol must've gotten a memo about them..quite a few instances of people getting pinged for plates...maybe it's those cameras in the northern tunnel lol.
-
I was told it's usually the font they look at. The 4's are open and the M's and W's are different on the fake ones etc. Though with the right colours and logos - you might get away with it. But being stuck in traffic/redlight in front of a cop might become a nervous experience.

Really hats off to John! Bimmersport is great - I too received lots of help with that iPhone debacle.

Sammy J and I shipped our E30's through Captain Transporter. Speak to Tony, extremely friendly guy and cheapest door-to-door rates I could find. Get your online quote here.

None of my friends with hard working sr20dets are more reliable than my m20s. You definitely want rocker arm stoppers as they don't like high revs all that much. If pfl, I don't think widebody is necessary. 17x8.5's should be able to fit under rolled guards. If you want big rubber 17s is the way to go on an e30 - lots more space than 15/16 because of the way the struts slant. Another issue is the classes that you'd be restricted to in racing. You'll be stuck with the big boys in almost everything. But I guess ss2000 might be a goer. The brake booster on e30s will be right next to your Turbo manifold (and probably stopping you from mounting the sr as far back as convieniently possible). Maybe factor in the cost of a pedal box - then you're completely free to pick your brake bias and calipers. The SR box is also quite long iirc, so the pedal box will let you sit further back in the car for the awesome faux supertourer feel. Decent cage, seat, harness, paint, suspension, brakes, rims, tyres will be pushing 10+k choosing semi-decent components. This excludes the drivetrain. Good luck with the project. A sorted e30 with a boosted 4 has always been a pipe dream for me! +1 But if you're set on a strong six speed - OS Giken and PPG have suitable bits. (Your wallet won't like them though)

Nah, if/when my tape fails then maybe. I will, however, come check out the pug
-
Ooooh, I guess they're not that bad (though the super clean E36 certainly helps). I'll run frameless for now, might reconsider if my plates show any signs of coming off.
-
I was fearing that was the other option - I really don't like plate frames lol. I think tape is the least of all evils for now. Was even tempted to put a coupla spots of 5min epoxy on for extra security
-
Updated. But really just an excuse to ask more questions.
-
What brand are they? Got any 225/45R16's?
-
What CAD software is that? Looks like ProE? Looks awesome (you're my hero). Btw, what are you going to use for intake/exhaust analysis? Ricardo Wave or similar?

Am pretty sure that's the wrong size, that's a 316/318 size. Pretty sure all 6 cyl's run 195/65r14.
-
Completely off topic...but good on you for being man enough to drive a 318ti (which I've always thought of as a newer and cheaper 318is). I'll stick to my mx5 for twincam girlyness though /postcount spam Check out e3024v.com for box compatibility.

Just a heads up - My full tan leather interior for my coupe didn't sell for much, it was in good condition too. Ended up going for $80 or something. I found that if the seats aren't the sport/recaro type there's not much interest in them. There's almost always a disparity between asking and eventual selling price on Trademe. Perhaps you should check how many times that other set has been relisted, or look through expired listings to see what the leather comfort seats have been actually selling for. Though, I hope for your sake that I'm wrong! Mark247's and Antil33t's advice ain't half bad - I'd follow it.

The UK seem to have all sorts of cheap and awesome reps available! The 17" Alpina reps don't seem to be a big deal at all - not to mention RS and LM reps in all sorts of sizes!
-
They seem pretty darn expensive for reps - I wonder what their markup is! I'm guessing they're one piece like most reps are....in which case, they're a pretty good looking series wheel (but probably not as light or cheap/replaceable as the SA11's) Auction here

Do E30 touring sunroofs have rear drain holes? Water only drains through the two at the front.
