Hes selling the loom and ecu with the engine so it can easily be fitted into an e30 thats previously had motronic or jetronic. It may not be a strait plug in at the fuse box end but the wires are 9/10 the same color code or are easy to trace back to match. Biggest thing you need to watch for is that the prefacelift motronic uses crank angle sensor in the gearbox so you will need a 260 getrag gearbox or a modified 240 to hold the sensors. The facelift motronic 2.5 doesnt have these sensors so you have more options gearbox wise.

Congrats! Next youngest member to ever be on bimmersport?

Just keep in mind that the face lift and prefacelift rocker covers are slightly different. they fit the same but the support brackets for the intake manifold is different. pretty sure you can fit it if you get the bracket too.

Thats true, but the issue may not arise untill the car has devalued. Really depends how long you want to keep it, how many kms you want to put on it etc. I hate to be the negative one haha but its already 8 years old and the economy isn't the best to be trying to re sell a car in anytime soon. Its a nice car but it could be expensive, Best people to ask about these will be the european automotive workshops. Ive learnt the hard way, Purchased a 2000 C class Mercedes select with all the genuine amg gear tiptronic box etc in 2004 for $15,500 which was cheap at the time. loom started to fail in 2006 Was just temperamental at the time, and by that stage the car was worth around 8000$ if you were really lucky. window wiper failed in 2006 cost 260$ for a second hand unit which failed in 2007 then replaced again for 240$ (excludes install costs) was also warned by a mechanic that this would happen but I was too young to listen. It was a mint car other than these issues, but for the money there are better options for your Question Is this car same quality as BMW or worse? Ild say worse. But on that note you should really just buy what ever makes you happy

How does it effect your braking with the booster removed? is it just heavier on the pedal? guess you havent tried it yet. Looks staunch. couldn't have picked a better color for it.! imo.

Have a pair of control arms with brand new bushes fitted. 80$ per side. (want to sell both together really) free post. brand new tierod about 68$ dont have good bumpstops or gearshift boot tho. Might be able to get the bumpstops in new but not sure what there worth.
-
yeah stay away from mercedes unless you have deep pockets, The looms in the 1996-2003 mercedes were terrible and are around 2600$ to replace. Plus all the other common annoying faults like the bad design single wiper blade, which have plastic gears in the motors . the aircon fan resistor will jam eventually, the neutral sensor will fail eventually list goes on.
-
Sweet can do arms with brand new bushes 75$ per side. The second hand ones i have are no good but is prob better to go with new anyway.
-
are you meaning the arm that goes over the steering tie rod?
-
pretty much exactly what i eventually want to have....... after winning big Wednesday plain simple original minus wheels and ride height.

You need to remove the full system, rack pump tank etc , and fit a manual non powersteering rack Ray will have one so just call him before making another wanted thread. you can loop the old rack but it wont pass a wof, and it wont last very long either.

Only things i can think of at the moment is the alternator finally wearing its brushes out, or maybe the battery is shorting out on the bonnet. (unless its in boot) or could even be the starters brushes shorting to earth? Not very likely to be that though. Bad connection where the earth strap is from chassis to engine.?
-
sounds like your alternator is gone, have you done any kind of work on the car in the last week? anything at all.
-
wouldnt pay more than 8000$ for a mint one, unless it was v8 maby. this one is well over priced, and the color really makes it a difficult car to resell later. (slightly off topic) but Ild personally stay away from the 4x4 models aswel they are harder and more expensive to source parts for if you ever need them.
-
simple. take the car drive it strait. Stop without turning the wheel. then reposition the steering wheel and boss kit.

Im far from anti fun. im not going to say i dont speed ocasionally either, But if you are dumb enough to follow a lame trail of cars, from park up spot to park up spot. In your more than likely stock engined ricer To race against other people with similar mentality's then really you are asking for police to harass you. So dont bother complaining about it. Get a perm
-
there easy as pie to fit, dont look much different either if you get a decent one. im surprised more people dont do it
-
I had a similar noise a while back. Turned out to be a rear brake pad rattling because the clip had broken off. Sound went away when i put the brakes on. And was only there at certain revs or on bumpy roads.

Should be fine, Just give me a text on Monday.

came across the same guy. he should upgrade his engine by a few cylinders before he worry's about his diff Edit: Turns out the guy has a 13b conversion in the car.
-
pretty sure i have some good e30 red (not faded) doors from a facelift have all four still from memory . have plenty of clusters and clocks. will be back at yard monday so you can view em, will do you a good price. Cheers Mike 0210390073

the 51mm struts have inner thread and the 45s have outter thread on struts if that makes any sense
-
About 90% sure i have the top nuts for 51mm struts + bilstein shocks sold the shocks to a re-builder but kept the two brass bilstein nuts. Will swap you for some kgbs or something if your keen and i can find em. Ill be back at the yard on Monday so will double check then. GL with the sale also. im surprised your letting it go !

haha ive never had an issue either, when i first started playing with m20s 7 years ago i didnt even know what bleeding the water was and still managed to miss out on all the overheating fun and dramas haha
-
double check that it only fits in one way, if it fits both ways do some google research to find the correct way incase it was backwards . then next is to check the two heater pipes at fire wall. see if both are the same temp in and out when heater is set to hot. just to eliminate a jam in the heater unit
