DSG serviced at Kaspa, did a good job and good service, 5 hungy...

No idea, maybe the thermostat?
-
Waterpump and thermostat assembly replaced by Skoda/Giltrap under warranty, coolant tank must have failed pressure test as well so I paid to replace that... Fingers crossed this time! Its a good car, when its not shitting itself
-
Just dropped the under tray to take a look, f**ken bolt for the lower radiator hose bracket is missing... which will be the reason why the thing blew off 12 months ago... its only held on by luck and clip for last 12 months. Giltrap are absolute eggs. Leak looks to be coming from between the new thermostat and block, couple of O rings. I bet they didnt clean the mating surface properly as will have done the quickest sh*t job possible and not removed the intake manifold for access. Will go back to Skoda NZ, going to ask for a new waterpump and thermostat assembly and my money back on the previous "generous" 50% cost ($900) bucks on the previous sh*t work and then see if can take it to an independent VW specialist to install it properly... might be pushing my luck with that, but the dealerships are absolute hacks.

Just over 12 months later, dumped all its coolant again.... Not sure if I can be bothered trying to argue warranty (parts) with Skoda NZ/Giltrap again, or I just take it to a indy VW specialist (its due DSG service), or I just do it myself.

Not sure what its worth to be fair, prices are all over the place. Make an offer
-
Pricing on these vary hugely, so offers. Last bit remaining from my E30. Good condition, leather is getting a bit porous on upper right, otherwise nice.
-
As above, waaay better off keeping the N52 as it was designed (NA), the pistons/rods etc are dainty little things not designed for boost. It'll be way cheaper and more reliable, making more power, to N54 etc swap it.

Yeah agreed, its not as though the captain twirls the big wooden wheel anymore. Will be a whole string of fups... Actually feel sorry for her, she doesnt appear to be a DEI hire at all, gets all the stress of being in charge of a big boat and the extra stress of "dont f&ck it up" stress because of being female and having the perceived DEI hire angle.

How long until new E30 shells etc can be bought? https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/subject_1601210183332.html

I actually like those on the 130, apparently I have strange taste in wheels though.
-
Ks are fairly irrelevant if looked after, there are 130s in the 400,000km range now doing track days that have never had more than sump and rocker off for gaskets, proper maintenance is what actually matters (and owners giving a feck)
-
Yeah the cheaper material didnt look/feel as nice, the better one is identical to stock (if not plusher).
-
Nah, he mentioned hes done heaps of them with sunroofs though. I pulled in and opened the door, he looked at the 130 and said "Headliner?"
-
$450+GST for the premium material, dropped it off at 8.30am and was done by 11am.
-
I hopped in mine last week and had the same.. doh. https://aucklandautoupholstery.co.nz/ - Jimmy here did a great job, works out of his garage but obviously has a passion for doing good auto upholstery. 130 headliner looks new (and he has the exact fabric)

Auckland to Havelock north and back in a day. My ass appreciated the Recaros, was actually not bad for 11 hours sitting on it. Saw a white E87 with ACS ducktail and black wheels in Taupo, wouldve been a cool pic
