  1. My UK 330 had same recall, just got done, but not on the NZ new 130, which is odd as as far as I can tell, all the same hardware
  2. Jacko

    New 4 series

Looks like the front and back of two different cars stuck together.
  3. Ill take this challenge, Ill tape up the odo on my 15 year old 130 K's mean nothing if looked after, I bet a well looked after 300,000km car has lower k's on individual parts on it than one with 100,000km on the dash.
  4. I was surprised how un-e8/9x they are underneath, looks more like an E46. Still damn cool car
  5. Gonna be keeping an eye out for dem doorcards... https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12335950
  6. Can you do 225/245 on the rim widths you have? Next sushi cafe meet need to swap keys for 5 min and compare setups
  7. How much stagger do you have at the moment? Ive done 225/235, 215/245, and 235/235 (currrent setup). 225/235 was good, but from my unscientific butt testing I seriously wouldnt consider more stagger than that, ruins the balance of the car in the twistys.
  8. Whats with all these post covid M badges in the wrong place ?
  9. 215/245 on a 130 will make it yuck, tried it for a week of auckland/raglan return daily, and just ends up being an understeery mess... looks cool, drives poop.
  10. A manual N52 Z4 would be fun if can find one, otherwise get a 130, join the cool kids club In terms of bang for buck, 130s are absurdly good buying at the moment. I have an E91 330 as well, its a good family car and nice to drive, but in terms of weekend toy not so much, 130 is WAY more entertaining.
  11. 4 year old wisdoms from this morning - "Dad - when I grow up I'm not going to buy a BMW first" "Why is that Max?" Pointing at a Hyundai Sonata - "Because I'm going to get one of those first to see how bad works first"
  12. LCI, us peasants in Pre-LCI cars drive around with inferior door cards... its about the only LCI difference worth having
  13. Cool interior, and turbo timer.. someone buy it and sell me the door cards and seats https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1927908601.htm?
  14. These are interesting, pity they arent manual. Looked at all the individual p/n and they look to be the same basic seat as an E82/81. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a.asp?id=2636599510&cc=602&pid=1302285989
  15. You can get them way cheaper too, I have amazon $60 ones in the 330, pulled out the OEM ones for troubleshooting and never switched them back.. work fine.

    Quick rant thread.

Good news today, prints I found on the fence got a match to a known gangsta rapper looking prick

    Shed fit outs

Yeah, there is a lot out there in the market, nearly went with a Ubiquiti setup running on its own box, but couldnt be assed running all the cat 6 around. All the ones that arent easily accessible I installed a solar panel on (which is about $100/camera). I went with Arlo as PBtech stock and support them, and I wanted them now!

    Shed fit outs

I just installed a bunch of Arlo Pro 3 and Ultra cameras around my place, pretty solid and clever.
  19. Would be a good drive back though
  20. Loosen up the moderation a bit is a good thing, personally I think a bit of jab back and forwards online is healthy and shouldn't be moderated. I haven't seen anything from 3pedals or M3AN that would justify anything worthy of even consideration of a ban (in any form), in fact the opposite (and ive been here for 12 years!) I moderate a few groups with a few thousand or so members, and sit on the council of a non profit organisations of a few thousand people... over judicious use of the ban hammer doesnt work online or in the real world and just causes more sh*t, and in the case of online forums its often the beginning of the end. On a BMW faceballs group I moderate, my policy is only banning people who install V bars, particularly those made out of garden hose and broomhandles.
  21. Sounds like youve got it sorted, but Ill second P&S automotive, they did a slick job on the 130 and actually gave a sh*t about the resulting numbers (also plenty of toys to look at while you wait). First place I went to, after explaining E92 M3 alignment on a 130 is what I want, couldn't understand why the geometry they got wouldnt hit 130 numbers (and even then were way of being symmetrical!)
  22. Id just go grab a replacement exhaust from the manifold to the back box from a wrecker, there will be a few of them out there and I doubt it'll cost much.. Id say less than $300 (I suspect they're not that sought after, apart from people in your situation) And then with some new gaskets you can bolt it in in the driveway, and it'll sound like BMW intended As modelled by the dog -

    Quick rant thread.

No idea about the dog, in the past he has been an awesome gaurd dog... he looks the part but is really a big baby. I suspect he was just totally asleep. I initially thought the wife must have forgotten where she put them, as couldnt believe anyone would have the balls to try it! She went to bed at 10.30, and her tablet was signed out of her google account at 11.17pm.... Found the point on the fence where he jumped over, so police have some nice palm prints... if they catch him or not is another story!
